Microtel Inn Atlanta Galleria Area - Smyrna

This hotel was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Not sure how old It is, but it's run down and very drab and dreary. The first room we were given was dirty with towels on the bathroom floor and beds not made. Second room we were given the door wouldn't close all the way and I actually got stuck after forcing it closed and then trying to […] get out of the room. I had no problem with the area (other reviews made it sounds shady), the a.c. was very finicky and i like my noise when i sleep, also all the rooms had a smell to them, it wasnt necessarily bad but i would have rather it not been there, the t.v. also ahd a very yellow hue and the sound wasn't that good (high pitched squeal)

The room needs a lot of improvements from the outside in. In the first room we were given the TV did not work - so they move us to a couple of rooms on the same floor. The additional security lock was broken. The room did not look clean because the carpet and tiles are worn out - the doors and walls could use some new paint.

The hotel doesn't provide cribs, even thou in the description it says they do- it's a lie. We had to drive to Walmart in the middle of the night to buy a portable crib. We had 2 TVs in a room, one didn't have cable, another one didn't have a volume. Shower was horrible, I was taking a shower under the mist and when I asked them to fix the water pressure […] or do something, the maintenance guy said they installed the new shower heads to save water. "Nice". Breakfast was ok. Waffles, cereal, bagels, and muffins. The hotel was dirty overall, they didn't bring us new towels, we had to ask. Hotel is far away from all the hot spots. I will never stay in this motel again. The A/C did not work,the room was dirty and there was drug deals and drug use going on down the hallway. Not a good enviroment for my family.

My stay was horrible.....I prepaid for my reservation and the front desk didn't even have a room selected they had to find one, the tv wouldn't work, the bed was barely on the rails it was proped up with a ice chest, the closet was hanging off the hinges, the shower barely sprayed any water and didn't have a shower head, there was no iron nor ironing […] bored, when asked the front desk to receive an iron was told I had to leave my drivers licence with the to receive an iron to iron my clothes.....this was the worst hotel ever!!!!!!!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The hotel was clean, and seemed to be in a decent area. They did have security on after dark and you needed your room key to enter. The hotel is right off the highway, and about 15 minutes from Atlanta. Overall, good hotel.

I had to make a quick decision when making this selection. For the money it was fine. I knew it was not a four or five star and just needed to lay my head down in the evenings for a couple of days. I think the Inn needs to commit to deep cleaning the carpets both in the halls and rooms regularly. I went to the local CVS to purchase disinfecting wipes […] for all counter areas because that just me. The staff was accommodating and friendly even when I suggested that the ironing board cover needed a clean towel on top of the pad due to too many stains. Lisez la suite

worst room and receiption i have ever stayed in filthy.would never stay again if it was free.bad odor out front like a dead animal real bad breath taking..

The shower had signs of mold. The carpet smelled like mildew The picture of the television was blurry on most channels and had no high def reception. The gym had only one working treadmill in a poorly lighted room. And the maid didn't leave us with enough towels for two people. When my husband asked for the additional towels she had an attitude instead […] of simply honoring his request. The walls were so thin we couldn't sleep because of the exchange of conversation from the guests in the next room. Not only would I never stay there again....I'd highly recommend Hotel.com not list them as a quality place for their customers. Needless to say, I've stayed at better places. Good points, the stay is affordable, close to really good restaurants, gas, right off I-285, high speed internet in rooms worked and about 10 minutes away from Downtown Atlanta. Bad points, rooms not fully clean, no fan in the bathroom to clear steam from mirrors, hotel staff not as responsive at the front […] desk for service, business center no printer, no printer at front desk either, last but not least outside doors would not open with guest keys. The room was not clean, The door would not close unless you push and lock at the same time. The bathroom was so small you barely had room to sit and close door. No services was offered. Iron and board was only available upon request. Really not my type of hotel.

Management was very nice. Room was exactly what it said it would be. Will definitely stay there again.

Sufficient comfort for the proce, and for one night stay

Exellent location. Great room for business traveler staying for a couple of nights. Would stay in again.

Nothing fancy,but a decent hotel for the price.

I stayed in this motel once before and would recommend it for value and convenience. On this trip, a door on one end of the building that is supposed to be accessible at night only with a room key was open and couldn't be shut. It looked like the door had been forced open. This is a repair that should be dealt with immediately.

the guyworking the fron tdesk was so nice he told me to got to aquarium before six flags so we wouldnt get stuck in the georgia dome traffic for the game and he was right when we left at 12pm the parking around the aquarium was full and the roads were closed he saved me alot of time

There was no shower head in the shower and the cleaning lady came by 3 times even though I told her we did not need it. She kept coming by waking us up.

Need much Improvement. The Manager of the Hotel don't want to post her name needs to find another profession, because Hotel Management is NOT her lively hood. Her attitude was not professional at all. The elevator smelled horrible. My room had a terrible mildew smell. The carpet either needs to be replaced or shampoo. Hotel was very cost effective and had wireless internet connects. The room was very small and did not have a shower head. But room was clean and served it's purpose.

There were many restaurants nearby that made getting dinner very easy. The breakfast in the morning is somewhat limited and has an awkward setup. But it did have a waffle-maker, so it was nice to get something hot for breakfast. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. They accepted extremely early check-in (7am) even though they didn't have to. The room had many free electrical outlets all around the room, so laptop and phones could be easily charged and powered. Free wi-fi had very good signal and high speed.
