Best Western Plus Barons Hotel & Conference Centre - Ottawa

On avait réservé pour deux lits doubles on a eu un lit double et un canapé pliant et pas de micro onde sinon rien a signaler de particulier

Hotel très bien, avec du personnel très aimable Par contre une voiture est nécessaire pour de rendre sur les sites touristiques

Nous avons réservé cet hotel principalement pour la piscine et sans avoir d'avis, à notre arrivé, la piscine était fermée. La chambre dans laquelle nous étions sentait la moisissure et l'odeur n'était pas agréable. L'odeur de l'hotel était également désagréable. Je ne recommande pas cet hotel.

Hotel Best Western Plus Barons Hotel a Nepean pres d'Ottawa etait, lors de visite en fevrier 2012, propre, securitaire et proche de magasins et restaurants. Un stationnement gratuit etait disponible. Par contre, il est situe a pres de 20 km du centre-ville d'Ottawa et difficile de s'y rendre par transport en commun.

Très propre et la chambre était bien mieux que nos attentes. Notre prochain séjour à Ottawa sera assurément à cet Hotel.

Dans l'ensemble c.était bien mais sans plus... Sauf que sur la réservation il était inscrit que le personnel était bilingue ...mais personne ne comprennais le français. Réception moyenne, pas trop d'informations. Erreur sur les cartes de la chambre, poubelle non vidée (salle de bain) à notre arrivée. Wifiwas non-existent in the hotel, didn't work anywhere except next to the pool, couldnt connect in the rooms at all, and their business center was not working either

I found a dirty sock in our room also lots of noise and our room didn't get cleaned even though we told the maid service we are leaving for the day please clean up and one last thing our shower head didn't work well (spay's all over the place eccept down on you)

This hotel was in a nice location close to nice restaurants and stores. We went for a hockey game and the hotel told us about a deal with the East Side Marios across the street for dinner and a shuttle to the hockey game. Excellent idea. We would definitely go back.

I love the location of this hotel. It is easily accessible by highway. The front desk staff were very helpful and the onsite restaurant was very good. The pool was georgeous but one of the two treadmills did not work properly. However, the maids did not replenish our supplies of soap, shampoo, and disposable cups. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Although some evidence evident (remodeled bathrooms) this is an aging facility wih old carpeting, chipped paint and "musty" smell. King size bed sheets (fitted) didn't fit and kept wrinkling - uncomfortable. Room too small to comfortably accomodate king size bed, freestanding (huge) dresser/fridge/TV stand and […] table and wardrobe and couch and coffee table. One table lamp burnt out and lamp dilapitated.The floor in adjoining restaurant was uneven and carpeting masked changes in elevation causing difficulty in walking. It is a good hotel if you have a car to go places.

This hotel was a bit far from the centre of town where we needed to be but, the price was pretty good considering. It had a great pool and exercise area but no towels were available, so we had to use our bath towels for the pool and showers, a bit inconvenient but not the end of the world. Great Location and nice beds. But watch out for the bus tours.

The hotel was OK, but the staff was cold and rude - would not recommond this based on that. They need to upgrade their customer service skills. Also, my room was freezing cold when I got there. It was a cold day and the heater was shut off completely! It took a few hours to get it to a decent temperature. Everything was fine except for the prople in the room next door partying till after 5 am. We called the front desk to complain and they did come and tell them to quiet down but it really didn't help. That was very frustrating after driving 8.5 hours and not getting any sleep our first night.

this was a clean, quiet hotel, very suitable for our needs, the online recommendations were accurate. Excellent for the price.

My family and I have booked this hotel the last few times over the last year and a half. We like the fact there is the pool and the pool area is relatively quiet and clean, and easily accessible. The other plus side to staying at this hotel is it's closest to our friends and family within the Ottawa area. The downside however though, cleanliness of […] the rooms we've had have been questionable most times with finding pieces of food and or garbage around the room, usually hidden it seems and with a 2 and 4 year old that pick up everything they see, makes to be an unpleasant scavenger hunt. Also this past stay, we were given a room that had an adjoining room for reasons unknown, but the downside was, whoever was booked to be our neighbours beside room #118 had a good time out at some bars, but brought the party back to their room while myself and my sleeping family were rudely awakened around 3 AM- and the party wasn't even slowing by 7 AM. This is not the first time we've encountered rowdy neighbours, our last stay we were on an entire floor that was a part of a soccer tournament of teenaged girls and their families, and it was a constant party all night long then while we were just a quiet litlte family of 4 just wanting to get some sleep. I think what bothered me most about this visit was the fact we called after booking saying we wanted to have a quiet room because of our experience the last time. I know whoever booked beside our room were being responsible and not driving home drunk and booked a hotel room, but with an adjoining room it was really not a fun stay. Also we ordered some food from the hotel that was made by the restaurant and it was awful. Burnt like you wouldn't believe and tasted like a charred oven. I would have rather have gone across the road to East Side Marios than order from the restaurant in the hotel. Our stay was pretty pleasnt at this hotel. Check in was easy, room was clean and spacious enough. Room had a couch, one cuppboard, reading table + chair, fridge, NO microwave. The hotel DOES NOT have an elevator, so if you have big luggages, get a first floor room. The pool, hot tub, gym all looked well maintained, although I did not use any of those. One […] great thing about this hotel is its close to many nearby restaurants. Ikea, which is a furniture store, also has a cafe attached to it is located around 7 mins drive away. Like anywhere else in Canada, there are quite a few Tim Hortons. There is a Kora's breakfast+lunch place about 8-10mins drive away, and it isquite an awesome place. The room we had did not have good heating in the begining. Hotel staff were quite fast in fixing the heater, and also provided us with an additional space heater. The bath tub had an issue of slow exit of water, but we did not bother complaining about it. Oveall, this hotel was a high quality NO FRILL hotel. Its clean, safe, good customer service. The Bed was so nice.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Parking was free unlike hotels in downtown. Overall very happy and will stay here again if I get a chance. Two things that can be improved: - there are no elevators; so one has to pull baggage up the stairs. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and clean the hotel was. The bed in the room was LARGE and very comfy. The room had full amenities - good TV, video games (not that I play!), phone, coffee maker. There was a slight problem with the heater (adjusting it) so I called the front desk and right away they sent someone to fix it. The reception […] desk staff were so helpful and let me store my bags there all day even though I had checked out. We had a great breakfast in the attached restaurant which was next door. The food and service there was very good. My only complaint would be that it was a lot further from the centre of Ottawa than I thought. Arrived earlier then expected could not get into room until 3:00 oclock was disappointed with this.Any hotels we have stayed at before have let us check in. Thanks !!

The positive part of the hotel was that the room was clean which is important, but the hotel in general looks very old and dirty. It was very noisy in the night

the room was clean, beds were comfy. most importantly it was 10 mins from Scotiabank Place - very convenient for the price. Overall - good

No hot water, only warm water, and five minutes of running the water to get it.

The hotel is tired and needs a face lift. The pool liner was wrinkled, the hot tub was not working, my room keys did not work well and the staff did not help much other then give me five sets of keys in hopes we would get a set thath worked, on intermitent success

Nice hotel in a suburban type area of Ottawa close to the Centrepoint Theater. Had a large suite with a kitchen area and couch. Room was very clean and up to date. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the large pool which was also well set up and very clean and reasonably warm. Good restaurants in the immediate area. We had some difficulty with access to rooms as there was no elevator. One of our party has a mobility issue. We were grateful that a service personnel carried our heavy luggage up stairs for us

I really enjoyed all aspects of my stay here -- clean, big room with a desk I could work at, nice pool, exercise facility, and overall the best experience for the right price. I had to work about 10 miles away off 417S so it was pretty convenient, except that 417 is a nightmare in the morning and afternoon rush hours -- took me about 45 minutes each […] way! Obviously not the hotel's fault, but if you need 417 to get anywhere, factor that in whether you choose here to stay. Lisez la suite

The hotel was very clean. The room was excellent and very clean and well prepared.. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The best we have ever had in a hotel.

we stayed in this hotel one night after we drove from Pennsylvania. It was easy to get to and easy to drive to downtown Ottawa. No breakfast available and the rooms were comfortable
