On a bien aimé notre séjour à cet hôtel.C'était très propre ,très confortable et bien situé .On était à environ 30 minutes de Hampton Beach et ou de Boston.L'autoroute était proche ce qui facilitait les déplacements .Le déjeuner compris dans le forfait était très correct (continental) bon choix de choses habituelles pour le premier repas de la journée;muffin,rôtie,gauffre,fruitset […] jus.On le recommande. We went with a large group for a competition. There were multiple members who found bed bugs in their beds, on their clothes, in their costumes and suitcases even after we got home. The manager was nice about it, but the hotel front desk clerk said it was only a rumor and was curt about it. We killed the bugs with our fingers! We saw them! Some girls […] had bites all over their legs. This can be a problem, no matter what the rating of the hotel is, even in upscale NYC. But, be apologetic and fix it!!! Lisez la suite

This Best Western was in a convenient location for our 5 night's stay. Beds were comfortable, shower pressure was very good (this is a big negative with some hotels!), in-room microwave and fridge made for convenient quick meals or snacks. Great room for the money. The decor and styling was perhaps a bit outdated, but overall it was comfortable and […] convenient. The pool was much smaller than I had anticipated based on online photos, but the kids still enjoyed it. I stayed with my girls at this hotel, during the shower the water turned cold, then hot, the the water pressure dropped, until there was no hot water. I complained, they fixed it - until the next morning, when the same problem occured again.

Room was very cold on arrival (probably in the low 60s) which isn't very nice in the dead of winter. Heat wasn't turned on. Took forever for the room to heat up. Breakfast buffet was in the basement of the hotel which was kind of weird. Other than that, room was clean and staff was friendly.

Our recent stay was just fine until we were relaxing in our room, early evening. I believe there are homeless families living there, supported by the state, which in itself is fine. There was so much screaming and yelling in the corridor that I really wanted to pack up and leave. Noisy parents yelling at their kids, kids screeching as if they were being […] beaten. It was horrible. I've had kids and grandkids and I understand they are noisy at times. The parents just didn't care. It's obvious that there are families living here on a weekly/monthly basis. Our room was right off the main hall right near the front desk. Children were yelling/screaming at least until wee hours of the morning. And at 6:30 am, it started again. There needs to be set rules for these families. I reported this to the staff but didn't get anywhere. No […] wonder there was a discount on the room. We were lucky that we got any sleep at all. I enjoyed my stay. I had two children with me, so the pool was a great option. Decent breakfast, good housecleaning service, reasonable rates.

This hotel is very old, and it shows everywhere. The only new thing was the bed, which was a nice surprise considering the condition of everything else. The pool is much smaller than the pictures appear and the hot tub jacuzzi was set to 90 degrees. To get to non-paid non-adult tv options, you have to click the remote control no less than 4 times. This Best Western is right off I495, with a CVS drugstore right next door, movie theater, grocery store, restaurant, & gas station all in the same block, making this a very convenient place to stay while we visited relatives for the holiday. The facility is not new, but is well-maintained and nicely decorated. The breakfast is better than average. […] There is a pool, hot tub and small work-out room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I have come back to this place many times to stay since the price is good for what you get. The indoor pool, hot tub, and huge continental breakfast are nice things to have in a hotel. And there is a movie theater and chinese restaurant next door. We always enjoy our stay.

This is a hotel that is aging fast. the design can require you to walk a long way to amenities, and signage is confusing. The room was very spacious, clean, but the bathroom sink had no plug and I was not provided one even after asking 3 times. the hotel does have a very nice and well equipped fitness facility.

I have to say the night maintenance guy seems to be a good person, but the girls at the front desk are liars. They say they never have this problem with the wifi, and that not every device works with wifi and that they were going to have someone come fix it the next day. THERE IS NOT WIFI, or at least it does not work. NO POOL breakfast was sub-par. All […] in all the room was very big, bathroom was not very clean...there were some hairs in the bathroom. The room was big it had a couch and office area. But you cannot work without WIFI!? Very frustrating . Staff was not helpful. The elevator felt like it was going to fall apart, it shook and made noises and was really fast, almost too fast. If you have a choice stay somewhere else if you are faced with a nor-easter then you have not choice... Not much in the area in the way of restaurants. The room was decent and the bed was good. Slept well. No noise from adjacent rooms. Small balcony was nice.

I wouldn't stay here again - ever. Our hotel room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The air conditioner kicked on and off all night and the room was never comfortable.. even though we had it turned on the whole way. It is a run down hotel that I wouldn't recommend one bit. I was glad to get out of there the next morning.

I have to say this was a great place to stay. Extremely clean and well kept. The staff was great-handled all requests asap. I am going to there again when I am in the area!!!

Old building and rooms that need updating. Not at all what I expected from a Howard Johnson Express

This hotel we have stayed in many times visiting family here in haverhill from florida. and its good for that. it is older, alittle dated but clean. inside pool for winter time. breakfast has most of what the other hotels have including make your own waffles. my favorite. free internet and close to nearby salem new hampshire for your shopping needs, […] haverhill has many small sub and pizza shops with great homemade area foods. Not much entertainment though. this hotel is what is needed to stay nearby as the comfort inn across the street is dirty and not reccomended as we tried it one time. staff is friendly Lisez la suite

We stayed at the Best Western for two weeks while visiting family in MA. The location, just off the highway, was good and our room was clean and comfortable. It seems like the rooms may have been remodeled because they seemed newer than the rest of the hotel, which was a bit dated. The housekeepers did a good job cleaning our room. Breakfast was great! […] Waffles, fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, yogurt, etc. The only thing missing was meat (which was fine considering the price and selection). The pool was clean. The only thing that bothered me was that the staff never seemed to clean the high chairs. I had to ask a few times to have a chair cleaned for my daughter to use. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area that requied a nice, non-luxury, hotel. Lisez la suite

Best Western made our 24 hr stay pleasant for the following reasons. Personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was clean and inviting (only some of the wall paper needed to be unbubbled or reapplied) and my husband and children loved the pool. While swimming we did notice that the pool was very chlorinated and cloudy. Not sure why, […] but nothing was posted as to wether there was a problem or the pool had been just regulated. What the kids liked most was being able to make popcorn in the room (had a micro and fridge) for a snack before bed with a movie. All of us slept comfortably and enjoyed a nice breakfast before heading out. We would make this facility one of our stops again when in the area. Thank you. Lisez la suite

Location was perfect for our needs. Our room was in building D, far from the traffic, a bit of a walk to the bistro and pool. We had 2 queen beds ample room for three adults. The breakfast bistro had the usual food, the staff person had to told to refill the empty eggs, breads, danish and whole fruit, (never replenished). Bistro tables and chairs were […] available outside the room offering ample seating. Morning papers available, nice touch. Pool area small but ok for cooling off. The desk clerk at check-in was not very friendly, did not make eye contact and questioned my reservation even though I offered the confirmation paper. Key cards were very finicky, often did not work making it difficult to get in from the outside. Check out went smooth, Monday clerk was very nice, pleasant. I would recommend. The room was clean, comfortable and small. But it worked for our needs as we were mostly in Portsmouth NH for a family wedding. The neighborhood was all shopping centers and some construction, BUT it was very easy and quick to access Rte 495. The cost was 1/3 of the room rates in Portsmouth and well worth it.

Felt secure with doors that were only accessible with a door card. Room was clean and we appreciated the coffeemaker, microwave, and refrigerator. Ice was readily available. The continental breakfast was the best we've ever had - fresh fruit, juices, coffee, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, waffles, bagels, two kinds of bread, English muffins.

If Best Western wants to maintain their reputation, this is definitely NOT a good hotel to have. It was poorly maintained and service quality is not up to a minimum standard.

When I went down to get my coffee and muffin the floor by the waffle maker was extremely sticky. In the meantime a child had spilled a full glass of OJ by the juice dispenser. The cleaner came out, cleaned up the juice, mopped, and even used a polisher to make sure the floor was dry. That was the only part of the floor she cleaned. She never once moved […] two feet in the direction of the floor that was obviously sticky (peoples shoes were sticking to the floor as the walked across it to avoid the person cleaning up the juice) to clean it. Usually stay here, and most often have good success, but the last stay we made may be our "last stay". The water for the shower was at best lukewarm when taking a shower in the AM. It may have been later, and others had used the hot water, but thought these are issues that are addressed when a hotel is built. Also, the flush was very slow to go down, […] and sometimes had to flush 2-3 times for it to go down, even when it was only water. Also, the comforter had 2-3 large black spots. There was combwebs in the ceiling, no shampoo in the bathroom. During our morning shower, the water was luke warm, not hot. Staff was pleasant and responsive, breakfast was good, coffee was fresh and hot. Our overall experience was good, hotel could be cleaner and updated.

I spent 1 night here in between moving from one home to another. It was incredibly convenient and comfortable. I was only there a few hours but it was a nice hotel at a reasonable price. I wouldn't stay for a week but a night or two, it's perfect.
