I got a free upgrade to a en suite room even though I paid the basic room rate, so your mileage may vary. The room was indeed spacious, with sofa, kitchen etc. The carpet was quite worn, but the bathroom was renovated and clean. The sheets in the bed were immaculated. I liked the free indoor swimming pool and spa, quite enjoyable after a long day hike […] in the snow. The pool water was warm, actually a little bit too warm for serious swimming, but perfect for bobbling around. The free breakfast included waffles, corn flakes, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, oatmeal, pretty much everything I could possibly want but no egg/bacon and the like. Wifi was free and worked fine. Downsides? 1) finding crushed crackers under the sofa cushions revealed that cleaning is not as thorough as it could be. 2) the web site advertizes "safe deposit" (IIRC), but I found no safe in the room and when I handed my stuff to reception, they kept it somewhere around reception, but they don't have a real safe. maggie valley est la vraie ville américaine de montagne : une longue ligne droite,des motels ,des restos,peu ou pas de distractions le soir mais un vrai depaysement.Hotel simple(c'est pas le grand luxe !) mais tout à fait correct.Une bonne adresse dans l'ensemble

The description of the room on hotels.com mentions that the room has a separate sitting area. We booked the room so we could have more space. But, it turned out to be really small. There was no sitting area and the hotel staff told us that these rooms do not come with sitting areas.

STAYED IN FALL 2012 ON 2ND FLOOR. ROOM WAS A LOT NICER THAN ONE IN SPRING 2013. OVERALL GREAT STAY, BEDS VERY COMFY AND WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN! WE WERE ABLE TO VIEW THE MOUNTAINS FROM OUR WINDOW.

Stayed here in the past and they have upgraded everything. Loved the location to Ski Slopes/Tubing. Comfortable room for the 2 of us. Nice, friendly staff. Would recommend staying. Planning on returning with entire family this spring.

The hotel and staff were awesome for the price. The only little turn offs were the water stain on the ceiling of the bathroom and the pool wasn't very clean. There was a wad of hair on a pole near the hot tub. Other then that everything else was awesome down to the continental breakfast.

well-stocked, continental breakfast was a nice perk. The free Wi-Fi, clean, indoor pool and hot tub and free parking also sealed the deal. Would definitely stay there, again.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn and Suites during a vacation to Maggie Valley. The rooms were good-sized, clean and comfortable. The only problem we encountered was another patron trying to get into our room in the middle of the night (the lock didn't work and the deadbolt was the only thing that kept him out!). Still, the area […] had an overall safe feel and the front desk was helpful if not just a bit short-tempered. We were greeted very pleasantly and invitingly. Person that attended us was very helpful about good local cuisine and even offered discounts. The room was very nice and homelike. You could actually relax. The area was great and very accessible to a variety of stores, restuarants and shops. Going into our stay, we set our expectations where they should have been for a 2 Star Hotel. We weren't expecting them to be a 5 Star Hotel. While we were there, we were only one of few guests there. It made our stay more enjoyable. The hotel was quiet and allowed us to unwind when we were not out and about. One of the biggest things we enjoyed was […] the indoor pool and hot tub. While it was freezing rain outside, we enjoyed a relaxing stay in the hot tub and also went for a swim. The times we went to the pool, we were the only ones there. It was great. Overall, the hotel needs some minor work done to it, but nothing that affected our stay. Our room was well kept and maintained each day. We did have to go next door for our breakfast since there weren't any quests, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Staff was nice and helped us when we needed it. Maggie Valley is a beautiful area and this hotel puts you right in the middle of it. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and everything was comfortable. The breakfast was simple but substantial enough. The only (minor) drawback is that there isn't much to eat within walking distance which isn't a big deal unless you're driving a larger vehicle […] (RV or similar) and don't want to cruise around. sheet had a red blot on it looked liked blood..i took it off threw it in the floor and when we came back after they cleaned the room..the maid had picked up the dirty sheet off the floor and made the bed with it again..uncalled for

Had an issue with not getting the room I booked. I ordered a one queen smoking when I got there I was in a two queen smoking. I went down and told the front desk the problem and they assigned me to a two queen smoking. I wanted the sitting area that was available in the one queen but they couldn't give me what I booked .

Second time we stayed here. First time there was a large bike event going on in town and as such it was a bit noisy. This time was great. Hard to beat the value of this hotel..

We arrived at the hotel just at the sandy coming. So the temperature was falling quickly. We found the hotel was cozy at room. It's quiet and clean. I was not sure what type of accomodations I would get, booking our stay a day before our arrival. I was pleasantly surprised by the convieience the hotel was to everything we wanted to do in the mountains. The hotel was clean and staff were very personable and helpful with resturant and attraction information. The property is a bit dated, but recent […] renovations have made a definite plus. It is a great value. The room and beds were very comfortable and loved the amenities w/ kitchenette separating the beds in queen rooms, making it feel as if you were in your own private bedroom. My wife and I stayed for a long weekend of r&r. Great location and ample parking for motorcycles. Friendly staff. The only 2 things I didnt like was that the pool was not heated as stated and the rear entrance security entrance to the hotel was not functional. Anyone could walk right into the hotel anytime of day or night with using your room key card. […] Other than that, rooms were very nice and comfortable.
