Only complaint we had was having tp pay $28 for overnight parking.

The view of the ocean from our room was incredibly awesome. The room was also clean, spacious, and comfortable. And, the hotel staff could not have been more warm, friendly and helpful. The Pelican Grand is a vary nice resort style hotel. We stayed in a king suite which was very large, had a great bed, separate room with second TV, a good size mini fridge and an amazing view of the ocean. We rented a car which made it very handy for getting around to all the hot spots in town each day and well worth the $28.00 per day valet fee as […] the car was always available at a moments notice. The food is decent although a bit pricey. Far better food can be found at the 1000 or so restaurants in the area. Just use the Trip Advisor mobile app on your smart phone and dial up any cuisine you want. Happy hour at the Pelican bar is 5-7pm, so take advantage of that, otherwise mixed drinks at the bar are $12.00 a pour. Best bet is to stop at a liguor store on the way in to get some beer, booze and bottled water for your mini fridge. Overall it was a fine place for a four day vacation in paradise. Lisez la suite

Great for spending time on the beach, relax in the lazy river pool, read in the rocking chairs on the porch, enjoy good food right on the premises!! We had fun.

Pillows were awlful, no neck support. Several Items in room needed repair, Fan, Toilet, vanity light, toilet paper holder, safe also did not work "error codes". Clerk at desk had all repaired except the toilet still did not work properly, fan was not replaced. (screamed when on).* The Hotel should have the maint. dept. do an inspection of rooms before […] they are re-rented and fix issues ahead of time. Ice Cream "Emporium" told my children on multiple occasions that they did not have chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Or that it was too frozen to serve. (That was a great one they were told for a few more times). My 14 yr old son gave the clerk what seemed to be a brain tremor revelation that they should set the ice cream out to defrost alittle and then they could serve it. After several days of this nonsense I spoke to the front desk and he agreed that this was nonsense and gave me two free ice cream coupons and then I assume reprimanded the the "Emporium" staff. Chocolate and Vanilla were always availible after that. I would have to say the worst issue was our first interaction with the Hotel Bar/Cafe'. We had been traveling all day and had not eaten. We walked into the Cafe' and were greeted with "sit where you want" so we sat and sat, and sat. 15 minutes later we grabbed a waitress and she gave us one menu and said it was not her table. Our waitress showed up and proceeded to attempt to memorize our order which ended in disaster. Items were wrong, missing, or just incomplete. Not a good start to our vacation at the Pelican Grand. For the most part the maid service was good , however, they do not clean coffee pots in the room or replenish coffee and sugar without prompting. Paying $28.00 per night for my car to sleep in the parking lot was also BS. The Valet Service was excellent and very professional. The food in the main Restaurant was excellent. Small, quaint and on the beach! Front desk and bell employees very nice. Housekeeping could use someone to keep them a bit more on their toes! Gift shop adorable! Nice lazy river! Kids loved it!

Hotel was great. Coffee not so great, food ok. On the beach its hard to get an umbrella but other than that it was a nice resort.

Requested and paid a premium for an Ocean view room, and got a corner room with intercostal view, and had to see standing on the window, through a crack , the ocean. Manager was not very friendly.

Hotel is over-rated. The only good thing is that it is located directly on the ocean.

I enjoy staying at the Pelican Grand because I can get a "Room with a View>" There is nothing more relaxing than to lounge on your balcony on a warm summer evening and listen to the waves crashing on the shore. This is a top rated Hotel, everything is first class including the dinning room. Can't beat the location and I would highly recommend the beachfront view suite.

Did not get room as paid for and no wifi in the room poor phone service

If you want a beach front hotel in Fort Lauderdale then this is your place. Overall I did like this hotel for what I wanted and it worked out well since it was College Spring Break and we did not have any crazy spring breakers in our hotel. This hotel tends to cater more towards family, young professionals etc. The closest restaurant besides the one […] in the hotel is about 1 mile away and if you are looking for bars and action this is also about 1.5 miles away. I don't mind walking and you can easily get a cab. The rooms are very large and there is a fridge and microwave which is the main reason we stayed there. There is internet in the room but not wireless so you can't use your Ipad unless you are in the lobby. There is an Ethernet cable hook up in room...but wirelesss only in main lobby and you can't even get it at the pool....so my Ipad was useless unless I wanted to hang out in lobby. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would probably only stay here if I was with friends or my boyfriend. Lisez la suite

Very noisy due to spring break otherwise great

We were extremely pleased with our stay at your resort. The staff were all friendly and eager to help in any way possible. Our room was beautiful. The valet parking was great. Our vehicle was always brought up quickly and the guys were always so friendly. We were a little surprised at how costly the drinks on the beach were, but oh well. We only spent one night at the Pelican Grand upon returning from a cruise. We were very impressed with this hotel. Our room was so spacious and beautiful. We visit South Florida each winter and have stayed in many of the hotels. This may very well be our favorite. Loved having microwave, coffee maker and frig. With the kids it made life much easier. […] We stayed at a new hotel close to this one for much of our stay and it did not hold a candle to this one. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. Great Resort. Great location. Great Breakfast. Good dinners. Minor things that could improve would be 1-quality of poolside towels, cleaning the lounge chairs each am 3-replacing the lounge chairs. Drinks are little pricey. Very friendly atmosphere and will stay there again.

Excellent Hotel! My only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was terrible.

I booked this location for a staycation for my partner and myself. After checking in I was given the wrong room which was occupied by another hotel guest, I was quickly upgraded to a suite. The hotel was nice, and hotel service was great. However this hotel is not for people under say 30. There are a lot of older people. I would suggest if your under 30 go down the road a few miles where all the action is, and stay at one of those hotels. If your a married couple looking for a quiet vacation with a private beach then this is the hotel […] for you! Also the dining options at the hotel are not great, few small selection on food. This hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was great, and our room overlooked the ocean. Cant wait to go back.

This is an excellent hotel with real character. It is on the beach (not across the road from it). Realxing ambiance, and style without being stuffy. A really good choice, and this was our third visit. Recommend it without reservation if you want something different from the chain hotels.

If were any closer to the ocean we would have been in it. Our room was a spacious suite with a balcony on waterfront. Front desk was very accommodating. Be prepared to not have instant access to your vehicle. All parking is valet. Valet was very responsive and polite every time we needed our car. Great place to ask someone to marry you (;

When I booked I requested a walk in shower as my husband cannot climb into a bath. This request was confiimed by e mail by the hotel. When we arrived we were told there was not a walk in shower in the room ! If we hadn't had a tiring journey down, had the car parket by the valet and checked in we would have walked out ! As we were going on a cruise […] we decided to manage but vowed not to book there again. My stress levels were high as I took great care when chosing the hotel. I was so disappointed. When we arrived into the room the shower was over a bath with a very low threshold so my husband was able to manage. There were no handrails which I think are essential, handicapped or not. On a positive note the staff were exceptionally friendly and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is in a lovely location and the room was really comfortable with the ocean view I had requested. We ate in the hotel in that evening and had breakfast the next day. There was an excellent menu, the food was hot and well cooked. There is a ramp at the front of the hotel and I was assured there were handicapped rooms but they were occupied. Luckily my husband can walk with 2 sticks and with assistance managed the shower in the bath. The valet parking is fast and efficient. Lisez la suite

This place is amazing! Everyone who works there couldn't do enough for you to make your stay incredible. The rooms were wonderful, clean and comfortable. There is absolutely no reason to leave this place once you've checked in. I look forward to coming back every year now, can't see a reason to go anywhere else.

WE had a room that had an ocean view and no balcony, and it was super, price great, and people tremendous, courteous, helpful; we will be back. The weather was cold but the porch was super overlooking the water.

The hotel itself was lovely. It's situated right on the beach and that's exactly what my husband and I both wanted. However, I felt the hallway could've been a little cleaner and the patio outside of the room we were in as well. But the clerk did have it cleaned once I requested it. Overall I'd stay there again.

The hotel is right on the beach, and has nice pools (one like a flow river). Good service, but not full four stars quality... If you go on a car, then you need to add US$24 + tax per day for the parking in the hotel's underground, because is a external payed valet parking service.

Had a fantastic time at the Hotel. The view from the room was spectacular. I reserved 2 queen oceanfront suites. My daughter brought 4 friends to celebrate her 13th b-day. Definitely a weekend to remember. I would definitely stay there again. The only downfall was paying the $24 a day valet parking service.

We love this hotel, it is like a home away from home. Friendly staff, professional and curteous.

Awesome Hotel, helpful staff specially "Enrique" he even did a reservation for my husband and I to go out for dinner. The only hotel i think in the area with the pool just right there. The only thing i didnt like is that the pool's bathrooms are uhg!!! horrible, dirty similar to how mall's bathrooms smell-look like-feel on a Saturday night at 7 p.m. […] otherwise i will suggest this hotel 100% Lisez la suite

No one should stay that hotel in every aspects.

We had a beach front room that was everything as advertised. It was a very comfortable two room suite with a sitting area, balcony, and a bed that gave us a great night rest. Food was good, (had great eggs benedict, coffee, lobster & steak, and macadamia crusted chicken that was perfect. Bar was well attended, and food and drink are both available […] to you on the beach, which you simply walk down to from the elevators. On the beach, towels, lounge chairs, and beach umbrella's are free for guests. Prices are a bit steep, but quality is high, and what you'd expect at a great hotel.
