Quality Inn & Suites - Lee's Summit

We stayed at the Inn the first week of May which was warm Spring weather and we could not get the room cool enough. We checked in late and did not call the front desk, so we just suffered through the night, but this would make it highly unlikely that I would stay there again. The breakfast selection was pretty pathetic, but the place was run well. A few minor cosmetics are all that I really have to complain about. The rooms were just fine, up to par with anything one could expect.

The rates were great, however, the heater for the pool was broken, the trash from the previous guest stay had not been pulled and contained used sanitary napkins. The "FREE" Breakfast never happened. It was always "the person that handles that isn't here yet" or "we are waiting for the truck to arrive" -(We never did see it) The coffee pot was messing, […] No we won't be staying there again, at least in the near future unless they get it cleaned up. 1st off we got a non smoking room, which smelled like smoke bad! 2nd the toilet did not flush. 3rd the second room they gave us had no working outlets. 4th the hot water did not work at all! 5th the hotel personnel were not dressed professionally 6th the indoor pool was not heated even though they said it was. 7th Internet does not work at all. 8th […] the guys at the front desk play video games instead of helping guests. 9th the elevator stinks and does not work half of the time! I needed a room for my son and I for a night and I was glad I stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites off Lakewood; however, I would have been very upset if it was for two nights. First the good: 1) Hotel staff was a awesome. My phone died and they printed directions to where I needed to go right after checking me in. Service was very good. 2) The bedding […] was clean and the room didn't smell off. 3) The lobby is clean; however, they have a "no drinking alcohol" sign that was clearly ignored and not enforced in the main lobby where you check in. 4) There is a kick-butt steak house next door called Rumors. The parking lot was so full it used 90% of the hotel's too. Wish I had more time to eat there, it probably would have made my night a bit more enjoyable. The bad (where to start): 1) The room looked as though it was part of a massive domestic violence incident with hole in the walls, burn marks on the door and furniture was beat up. 2) The "heated pool" was ice cold! 3) The room was not heated prior to our arrival so it was like walking into a morgue and it took forever to heat up. 4) The elevator door didn't seem to want to work. It would close, then open, then close and it took it a minute to go up one floor. Scary stuff. We walked the stairwell after two trips in the elevator. If need a low budget room just for the night with no thrills, soap or shampoo, this is your destination. If you plan on staying for than a few night prepare yourself for a LONG STAY. Lisez la suite

i was very disapointed.it was the worse hotel i have ever stayed at i acctually went home 2 days early.the walls had water damage and ceilings to.the hot tub was colder them the pool.they had nothing for a breakfast.bad bad bad....

i wasnt happy at all with the hotel . when i booked it though you guys it said up on arrival free upgrade which didnt happen an when booking said the hotel servied breakfast which they didnt. A little secluded... in a business park area. There's a really nice restaurant next door though that has some good happy hour deals and some really great food! The rooms are clean and the staff is professional. Great place to stay... indoor pool and free wifi.

Rooms were big and spacious EXCEPT they did not serve contenential breakfast cause they said the truck did not come in AND the indoor pool and hot tub were both ICE COLD. They said they were working an hour ago, LOL. Was there 2 nights and none of the ammendment were worth why we stayed there. Upon showing up around 4pm to check-in, we stood at the front desk, rang the bell, and called the hotel phone number with no answer. Finally after waiting for 15-20 minutes we were greeted and checked in. We were given a key to a room that didn't work. So we had to return to the front desk to get a new key/room. Then later that night we got all swim-suited […] up, only to find out that the hot tub was not hot AT ALL! Both the pool and hot tub were maybe 65-70 degrees. Then to cap it all off, the next morning before checking out we headed down to the free breakfast the hotel had promised...SURPRISE, no breakfast. The kid at the front desk let us walk over to the "breakfast area" and stand there. Only after my husband said "No breakfast?" did the guy reply, "Oh yeah we never got our truck and we've been out of everything except coffee all week." This hotel staff obviously doesn't know how to make signs or inform their guests of a poorly functioning hotel!!!! Lisez la suite

The door to the room didn't fit properly so there was a gap that you could see into the hallway. They provided coffee but no creamers, sugars or sugar substitutes.

For the price its a very good value. The bed was comfortable. The staff were nice. Location was great.

Hotel was great for the price. The pool was freezing and hot tub was broken and the tv in our room was broken. Luckily we literally only used the hotel for sleeping, so it wasn't a problem for us. The rooms were huge and clean. The hotel was located in a very nice, quiet area. It isn't super close to shopping, restaurants or attractions, but in the […] Kansas City area you only need to go a few miles in any direction to find everything you might want. Lisez la suite

It was agood value would have been better if spa worked but hotel staff move us to room with jet tub that was nice

We stayed here last year when it was a Holiday Inn Express.... so sad to see it was not being maintained well. The only bright spot was Jacob who was doing his best to take care of everything that went wrong! It is so convenient to my family .. two minutes away ... but I hesitate to return.

The rooms were absolutely awful! The first room had plenty of space but the curtains and box above the window had been screwed to the drywall ceiling had fallen down on top of the ac unit. Contacted the front desk and they said they would be up. Fifteen minutes later I called again and they said then to come get keys for a new room. The elevator only […] went up (buttons inside the car didn't work) so we had to lug all our stuff and kids down the stairs for a new room. After quite a while a new room was located. Room smelled like smoke. The ac made an awful sound when it started up, sounded like people were running up the stairs. Bathroom smelled musty and bathroom door frame was rusting. When checking to make sure we had everything, we found cobwebs with what appeared to be spider eggs in in under the bed, spiderwebs under one of the chairs and ac, empty water bottle and ponytail holder under the bed. When we arrived, the key maker was not available. They had to let us in our room every time. Not a big deal, however, our TV didn't work, the towels looked like they had been used, the AC didn't work and the bedding was dirty with spots on the sheets. the hotel clerk was very helpful we had reservations at another hotel but the pool was out of order and we called around and quality inn helped us out thanks

it appears this hotel is under brand change. many small problems. our tv cable connection was so looose if you walked by the dresser to fast the channel turned to snow. also 12 channels had no sound. the pool door said it opened at 8 am, but the clerk said they did not open it until 10am. We had kids and there were a lot of familiies and softball teams […] of kids staying at the hotel and wanted to use the pool. My kids were very disappointed. Lisez la suite

OK, four rooms checked into within 30 minutes by our group. Two were placed in rooms that were already occupied. Third received a room where air conditioner didn't work (management knew, but said there was nothing they could do about it). Fourth received a room where the TV didn't work. I was moved from one of the dirty to a clean room, but the T.V. […] also had major problems with a sort in our room. Basically, this hotel needs major mechanical/amenities update in rooms and a management update. Needless to say, I will NOT be staying at this or any quality Inns again. Lisez la suite

I needed a reasonable place to stay near the Independence Event Center and this was only a few miles away. They should spring for a tall sign so you can see it from the highway, but my mapquest was right on this time. Pleasant hotel staff, clean hotel, hot items on the continental breakfast. Hot tub/pool/weight room. Bed was comfortable. No complaints […] except it is located in the field. Only restaurant was pricey. Luckily a gas station down the block. Lisez la suite

Decent value for the money. A little out of the way, but quiet location. Was owned by Holiday Inn, but now owned by the Quality Inn organization, same ammenities as before.
