There was a curly hair on the bathroom counter which happens. Front desk service was good they allowed us to swim with our children an extra half hour after closing which was really good. The rooms seemed really dry and stuffy. The pool floor needs refinishing.

It would be very hard to give more value for my money. It was clean, friendly staff, nice little lounge and resteraunts, a few handy stores in the same plaza( liquor, convienence)( chinese, indian, and columbian resteraunts), and a ten dollar cab ride to the Deerfoot Casino. This is going to be the place I always stay when I visit Calgary...

We stayed at this hotel recently. There were 12 of us 6 adults and 6 kids. We went swimming both nights we stayed, the kids had a blast on the water slide. We ate at both resturaunts, breakfast at the cafe was great. We ate dinner at the cafeteria area and it was very good the children's menu was very reasonable. The down side is the location, we went […] to the zoo and Calaway park and it took us over an hour to get to Calaway due to all the construction along the way. We were scared to enter the hotel based on the looks of the exterior. Once in the halls and lobby areas looked nice which was comforting. Then we got to the room...blankets, sheets, pillows, mattresses were so old, tattered and stinky it was kind of gross. We threw everything but the sheets on the floor before sitting on them. We arrived at the hotel after traveling for 8 plus hours, so we were ready to relax. The location and outside of the hotel do not do it justice. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. The beds, although a little on the firm side, allowed us a restful sleep. The hotel had a nice, reasonably priced restaurant on site and a great indoor pool […] with a waterslide for kids. If you choose this hotel make sure you stay in the newly remodeled part. It has to be better that the old part. The air conditioner sounded like I was at a truck stop and the bathroon fan sounded like I was in the take off zone of the airport.

stayed at the hotel for 2 nights before flying home. Not far from shopping centre, and calgary zoo. My children enjoyed the pool and slide. wouldn't recommend the chinese resturant opposite.

The Glenmore Inn is located southeast of the downtown in a industrial/business area. It is easily accessible be car and not too far from major north/south Deerfoot Trail Highway. This facility obviously does a lot of Banquet/Wedding business. It is one of the most reasonably priced hotels in town when you book through hotels.com My initial booking was […] 30% off the standard rate. Everything is perfectly acceptable about the facility. Clean, efficient, spacious etc. A typical hotel experience. The older 2 floor part of the hotel is almost the same as the new tower part of the hotel. So it's okay to save a bit of money and make that choice if you prefer. There is a very decent restaurant, bar/lounge and banquet/buffet area. Actually the buffet area seems to have been built in a space that was once an exterior part of the hotel as many 1st and 2nd floor rooms now look down into the buffet space instead of an exterior view. Kinda weird but interesting all the same. The pool feels somewhat small due to the spiral 2 story slide that empties into the middle of the pool. When the slide is in use you won't feel too comfortable swimming in the pool. All in all though this hotel is very satisfactory and does exactly what a hotel needs to do for my purposes. The highlight though was the quality of the food. Everything is cooked from scratch with generous portions and very fair pricing. When the waitress warns you that the large soup is served in a LARGE bowl, believe her. It will feed two people. The small cup size is actually a normal portion. Staff are courteous and efficient. Rooms were clean and spacious, house keeping were very accommodating and friendly. The front desk staff were not rude, but not too friendly either. Gym consisted of four pieces of equipment, one of which was not working! Swimming pool is really for kids and no saunas exists, as per advertisement. I booked a room for my parents and I for the first night of our arrival to Calgary before heading out to the national parks. We also had dinner there. The staff was friendly and helpful, and things were clean overall except for some gum that was stuck to the rugs in the room and stuck to one of our shoes. This hotel was very clean and had very pleasant staff. There were no issues what-so-ever. I highly recommend the restaurant as the prices were incredibly affordable and the food was fantastic. The only downside was the pool maintenance, when we went to go swimming at 9 in the morning the was a woman in there cleaning that gave us kind of an inconvenienced […] look. The hot tub was drained, the water slide was not on and the water was very cold which was unfortunate for our 8 month old son who loves the water. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean and the housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was easy to find yet the surrounding area seemed a bit rough. Overall we would book with hotel.com again and stay at the Glenmore Inn again. Thanks.

My husband and I had a great stay , very clean , quite, and comfortable .price was good, and had no issues what so ever :) ! Would diff stay again !

Our family rented three rooms to stay at the hotel for a family holiday in Calgary. the hotel offered everything we could have asked for. the swimming pool although on the cool side was great for the kids. the restaurant had everything we wanted. there were little restaurants in the mall for a change and very close to other big malls for the box type […] restaurants. the staff were friendly and helpful. parking was good. My only concern was the beds are very hard.... for my old bones. all in all our stay was nice. Lisez la suite

I enjoyed staying at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Easily accessible from the Deerfoot Trail (main thoroughfare) and can also easily access all other areas of the city. It was quiet, clean and the service was amazing. One issue I had was with the mattress firmness. After driving 10 hours (with breaks & stretches […] of course) my lower back was a mess. The next morning I could not get out of the bed without rolling out, and then walking like I was twice my age. The hot tub was under maintenance as well so I could not relax the pain away. It would be nice to have the option of mattress firmness when staying in ANY hotel as I am sure I am not he only one with this kind of issue. A great hotel. Have been driving it by for 10 years and knew it has great dining but never had stayed there until now. Great service and clean spacious rooms.

Room was clean, location is great, check in was easy, not friendly but easy. The A/C was not working properly. Unfortunately the last day of our stay We went to the pool and found human feces in the hot tub, and pool, rush to the front desk and complaint, believe it or not they just say, "we are calling somebody", went back and warned everybody in the […] pool, and after 10 minutes still nobody show up or at least lock the door and keep people off the area. When I checked out the front desk person did not ask me how was my stay, then I complaint again about the pool incident but she did not care at all. I was extremely disappointed with the service we received after the pool problem was reported. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone Lisez la suite

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was that there was a water slide in the pool area. Unfortunately the pool & hot tub were out of order during our stay. This was most disappointing for us. Overall the room was ok. The Buffet in the Garden Restaurant was good.

My husband and I recently stayed here for a weekend getaway, we stayed in one of the premier tower rooms. We had beautiful view of the Calgary skyline, most comfortable bed, and delicious food at the Carving Board Restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location with good access to major highways. Close to outdoor activities. Hotel should update the bedding as it's outdated. Otherwise good hotel.

This hotel was geared more towards oil workers coming in from the north. The internet connection was terrible. There were socks under the bed that were not ours.

Room was clean, but windows sealed and air conditioner stank, made loud noise, and just didn't do the job. We paid for a standard room and should have been warned that we are getting a substandard one.

We found this hotel to be clean friendly and comfortable, it will definitely be a hotel we stay at again.

We stayed at this hotel for the beginning of the Calgary Stampede. Relatively good access to transit and ample parking. Convenience store and couple of tasty restaurants (especially the Indian) in attached strip mall. the pool and hot tub are a hit with adults and kids (twisty slide is awesome fun) and it is not a chlorine pool. good hotel for the price, but doesn't have pay per view for movies

Impressed by cleanliness. Restaurant/lounge facilities good. Nice mix of stores in surrounding mall , eg. liquor store, convenience store, hair, restaurants.

The room we booked was supposed to be none smoking yet the room smelled badly that i could not sleep at night i was not comfortable with the smell and the bed. the hotel was in the middle of no where on industrial place. the staff were ok but they needed to be more friendly. It is ok hotel if you are a track driver and you staying there for a night. […] the hall way smelled of alcohol and there were some sketchy guys around. I would NEVER stay in this hotel. A very out dated Hotel. Could not get wifi in tower. Lounge was old, chairs were dirty and on old rollers(?) Breakfast was nice and waitresses were great. As were the maids. With what they had to work with. Was at a funeral so had no time to shop around. Not bad for the price I guess.

The room was very clean, carpet looked new. Didn't try the restaurants but are likely the best in the area. More of an industrial/residential area. Room price is at or a bit below average in South Calgary. I've stayed in better but definitely not a cheap seedy hotel either. I would stay there again.

No complaints, Overall an average hotel, with the usual amenities. Paid more than other hotels in the area, believing it closer to the event we came to Calgary for. Found out afterwards there were (newer) hotels equally as close for less $ / night, that included breakfast. No complaints, just a comment on value that will be considered with future n […] eeds. Room was nice, very clean, and nice size. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definatley book here again. The only downfall was the location, but it is off a major artery so it was easy to get anywhere.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. Our room was close to the ice machine and the noise was a bit loud at night. We prepaid for our stay and check-out took just a few seconds.

Although we wanted to stay in a different part of the city due to an occasion, I chose this hotel because I had stayed there a number of years ago and it is on a main thru trail that I needed to use.The room was good although I felt that the mattresses looked dished towards the center of the beds. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Beds were okay but could have been better with a pillowtop. Easy to get to other parts of Calgary from the hotel. Environmentally conscious.

Close to the Calgary Zoo and other locations, the Glenmore Hotel is easy to get to off of the main highway. The layout is very nice. The staff are very friendly. The food is excellent.

The hotel looks great on the surface, but it needs some rehabs. they first put us into a room where the towel rack fell as soon as we touched it. Then they moved us to another room where the place looks some what run down - bath tub caulking was terrible, area around the a/c looks pretty sad. the hotel lobby and dining areas look good.
