My first room had no heat,the tv was bad,the sheets looked grimy,the locking mechanism for the door was broken.

Not very clean...found q-tips on floor and make-up smeared on the counter. Heard staff cursing. Breakfast was horrible...hard muffins and donuts and no fresh warm food. There is a better hotel in berne, IN which is just a short drive away.

The hotel and room were clean but needs to be renovated badly.The hot tub was disgusting and the inside pool was ice cold in the dead of winter which we had to find out for ourselves because the staff said nothing.

Have stayed here before and the staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious and the bed is comfy. This time around, the pool was not heated and the hotel looked closed. The shower wouldn't go beyond slightly warm. All in al a great price, but you get what you pay for.

This is the third Christmas we went back home to visit family. We stayed two nights and returned for an additional night, staying in two different rooms. We read the other reviews after the reservations were made so we were somewhat concerned. We travel with our two small dogs and available accommodations are scarce in Decatur. Admittedly, the rooms […] do need some upkeep. The wallpaper seams were separating and the bathtub faucets could be replaced, but the overall condition of the rooms and hotel in our opinion were not as bad as previous reviews . The carpets and bedding were clean. The room didn't have any odor for being a pet friendly room. They were having problems with the pool and hottub so neither was usable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast one morning but everything was good with plenty to choose from. Lisez la suite

The nice thing is that Indiana recently went to a no-smoking policy in all hotel rooms. The not so good thing, some rooms still smell. But nothing that a little Febreeze can't fix! Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. Some spots where the wallpaper was pealing. This motel is not being well maintained and is deteriorating rapidly. It used to be the best in town and demanded premium rates for the motel level and location but it's in a race to the bottom to join the other dirty motels in town. The breakfast was very stale donuts and much handled muffins, the sheets were threadbare and dingy and the room cleaning […] consisted of bed making only. The purpose of this visit was just some fun with my kids. Unfortunately the pool was so cold we could not stay long before the kids were shivering as well as the pool room not being warm. The kid channels did not work in our room and the breakfast was less than expected. Wish we had spent the money elsewhere.

We return to Decatur to visit family every other year or so. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. We had forgotten our toothbrushes and they were able to provided two. We also traveled with our two dogs and the accomodations were great. The room didn't smell like animals had even been there. The hotel was in fair condition, could use […] a little paint and wall paper tacking but nothing major. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage as a bonus. Would definately stay there again. This is my second stay at this property. The first time I had a king bed that had one side completely collapsed and unusable. This time the mattress was not terrible, but it was time for it to be replaced. Overall this property is clean, well maintained and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, nicely appointed and comfortable. […] The only problem with this hotel is the mattresses, which, considering they are selling a good night's sleep, is a pretty significant problem. We had a terrible experience at the Baymont Inn in Decatur, IN. Our room was SOOOO hot--the A/C was not working. They moved us to another room. STILL MISERABLY hot. At 5:30 in the morning they finally moved us to a third room where the A/C actually worked. The pool was beautiful BUT. . . the A/C was not on in that room and the pool area had to be at […] least 100 degrees--I was sitting in there watching the kids swim and I was completely soaked in sweat in under 5 minutes. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable, except that one side of the King bed was broken down and way too soft. The mattress needed to be replaced. Since I was by myself, the problem was solved by moving to the other side. The breakfast was adequate, though not special. Had a great time,every one was friendly,inside pool was nice.Washer&drier on sight was nice.Breakfast was as expected.Room was clean&neat.No complants ,had a enjoyable time.

The hotel in general was nice. The indoor pool was an asset, although we did not have time to use it. The mattresses were a bit worn and uncomfortable but were OK for a short stay. Our biggest complaint was the Continental breakfast which had very little to offer.
