Le quartier d'Eixample, créé entre 1860 et 1920, arbore par conséquent les plus beaux bâtiments modernistes de la ville. Les larges trottoirs de son artère principale, Passeig de Gràcia, sont bordés de boutiques de luxe et de cafés chic. Vous y trouverez également les deux monuments de Gaudí dignes de contes de fées, Casa Batlló et La Pedrera, ainsi que de nombreuses merveilles d'architecture. Mais la vedette incontestée du quartier est La Sagrada Familia, magnifique église inachevée de Gaudí.

Pas bien situé. Chambre et confort de la chambre classique à ce prix là mais personnel à l'accueil très désagréable avec des remarques à la limite du racisme en pensant que je ne comprenais pas l'espagnol. Climatisation en panne et wifi qui fonctionne un jour sur 3 dans les chambres. Enfin le summum, le parking à éviter à tout prix ! La chambre de l'hôtel était plutôt agréable, assez spacieuse (donnant sur une cour). Très correct pour un hôtel 3 étoiles : propre et confortable. Probleme de porte. Pas de changement de chambre possible le jour J, mais problème résolu le lendemain, donc ça va. Il faut un peu marcher pour arriver à la station de métro, une fois dans le métro les endroits touristiques sont très rapidement atteints.(2 stations de Catalunya, ça peut même se faire à pied..., un changement de ligne pour accéder à la plage...), la quartier semble sécurisant quand on rentre tard à l'hotel. Malgré une propreté irréprochable, cet hôtel est malheureusement mal situé. Le 1er métro est loin, et il n'y a pas de restaurant sympa dans les environs. OMG I regretted choosing this hotel the STAFF is NOT helpful at all, I asked for a map of the city they don't have one I went to a hotel not even a block away and they gave me one and I DIDN'T STAY THERE. So the hotel, well your continental breakfast for is NOT included, and costs 10 euros each. Don't rely on the hotel […] to exchange euros for you no they charge your card and a conveyance fee of another 3 euros. I gave this hotel a 1 out of 5 because 0 is not possibly. The desk workers are very courteous and helpful, and the hotel looks very modern. The bathroom is spacious and well maintained, and the furniture looks like new. The hotel is conveniently near the sants train station, and there is a cab stand directly outside the door, but if you are looking for the metro it is a 10 minute walk to the red, blue or green […] lines. It is difficult to find anything bad to say about the hotel itself. Clean, spacious and comfortable, friendly staff, we were lucky to have a top floor room complete with a little terrace. Didnt try the food so can't comment - the only thing that would have improved our stay would be if the hotel was picked up and moved a block or two closer to a Metro. […] Located in a quieter, more residential area, with a little supermarket just outside and a few cafes just 5 mins walk away towards the Hospital Clinic metro. But you can walk to the main tourist area, down to Gran Via and onto Place Catalanya into The Ramblas can be reached in around 20 - 25 mins on foot. A good 10 minute walk to nearest Metros at Rocafort or Hospital Clinic which we found were the best ones to use to change lines to get to the main sites. Once on the metro getting around is really easy, be sure to get your T10 ticket early on. But after walking SOOOooo much all day, every day, the last journey on foot from station to hotel was a bit of a strain. I had an excellent stay at the AB Vildomat Hotel over 4 nights in early October. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful about places to go and places to see. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet. the walk to the Sants Estacio or Terragona metro stations did not take long. the hotel is a great location (only 2 metro stops from Las Ramblas) but is just far enough out of the main area to give you a real feel of the Barcelona locals. Surrounded by local bars / restaurants and cafes full of Tapas and great value food and drink The hotel itself looks a little dated from the outside and main bar, but this doesn’t continue […] into the rooms which were clean and large. The only issue with our room was a wardrobe door which had a mind of its own and would only roll open on its own terms, or with a little persuading with a shoulder. All the staff we friend and very knowledgeable about the local area and even saved us time and money getting back to the airport I would recommend this hotel to people who want to stay a little out of the manic tourist areas, and don’t mind the 10 minute walk to the metro station. It was around ten blocks to two major squares (Plaza Espanya and Plaza de Calvo Sotelo). "Great value hotel for low cost short holiday!"
Couldn't have asked for much more with hotel as we only slept there. Did not eat there but seemed a little expensive... Location was perfect for me as I didn't mind the 20minute walk to the main 'placa catalunya' where la ramblas is etc. Well worth getting the open top bus for sightseeing as much cheaper than taxis everywhere and easier to find them […] all! Taxi from airport was just over 20 euros on the way there and alot more on the way back due to a cheeky taxi man (booked by the hotel) Overall, would definitely go back...
