Avis d'un client Hotels.com envoyé le 18 oct. 2012Nous avons logé dans une des chambre a l'etage (le rez de chaussée etant occupé par une salle a manger et une bibliotheque decorées chaleureusement). La chambre en elle meme etait confortable et joliment decorée, assez fraiche (volcano oblige) mais bien pourvu en couette, donc aucun soucis(du moins en septembre). Nous n'avons pas vu la tenanciere, un mot nous attendait sur la porte (pour nous, ce n'etait pas un souci).Dans la bibliotheque il y a une cheminée avec tout le necessaire pour faire un feu de bois (ce que je ne me suis pas privé de faire ... ps: la cheminée necessiterait peut etre un peu de ramonage ;-) ). Bref un tres bon sejour de 2 nuits, d'autant plus que nous etions les seuls a occuper toute la maison durant ces 2 nuits !!!! Par contre, je prefere prevenir, volcano c'est assez mort le soir, pas de supermarché, au mieux un epicier, et 2 restos (dont un tres bon thai)

Les house keeper sont extrêmement gentils et le petit déjeuner préparer par Annie est un régal. Jacuzzi pour se détendre en fin de journée. Très bon endroit. A recommander

We booked 2 rooms, but the 2 rooms are not in the same building. Actually the distance between the 2 rooms is very far, more than 2 miles. Finally we (4 persons) stayed in one room. Anyway, this room at 2nd floor is very nice. The room is very large, clean.Avis véridique Hotels.com

Hotel has multiple properties/locations. So beware that pictures may not correspond to where you will stay. Comfortable stay but they wanted to charge for a crib. This is unheard of. Rooms cramped and tiny but clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast not included: basic and cheap. There is nothing in that village. Nice place to stay. It is more of a hostel set up. Shared bath and a kitchen. The price reflected the fac that it was more of a hostel but I wouldn't have paid much more and felt it was worth the value. Had TV and good cable and the lobby rented movies for a reasonable price. If you are going to use the kitchen....best to buy your food before you come […] to Volcano. We only used the hotel to sleep in since we arrived late after regisitration (6pm) and left early (6am)before registration. Everything was fine but .... We found it a bit difficult to find the accommodation. We arrived in the evening and office was already closed but we could collect our keys from a box outside. The accommodation we stayed was max 5 minute drive from the main building. Our room was clean and really small (size of the room depends on how much you pay). I would definitely recommend getting […] a breakfast - you have to pay $6 (I think) and you eat as much as you like. The Volcano House Hotel, inside the Park, is on long-term closure for renovation. "Avoid."
I am not confortable leaving a bad review as I know it affects the income of the property owners but it is important to explain our experience so people can read about our experience and make a decision. The unit should not be a 2 stars but a 1 star. Not enough effort is put in to keep the unit clean. I suppose the sign that states that "house comes […] every 3 days our of a 4 day saty" is an indication. The kitchen was filthy and sticky. We had to wash all the dishes before we could think of eating in. The bed was small. The rooms badly insulated and not very well decorated. Internet access reminded me of old dial-up speed access.
