If you are planning on going to the Park, the extra money to stay here and get the Speedpass is absolutely worth it, no question. Great sights to see in the hotel, and the ice cream parlour was delicious.

Staff was great and very accomodative! Location cant be beat for Universal and the benefit of this along with express pass allowed us to do everything we wanted in less than 2 days! Next trip, I will do the same!

Loved everything about this hotel. Every employee we came in contact with was wonderful, place is clean and beautiful, food at the pool restaurant is absolutely amazing! They even gave us a free upgrade upon check-in. Had two teenagers with us, and both just loved it. Something for all of us. Will definitely stay there again.

Overall we enjoyed staying at the Hard Rock. The only negative was that we were not informed that we must take our hotel room key into the park in order to take advantage of the express pass on the rides. We had to leave the park and return to the hotel to get all of our keys-which was a huge inconvenience.

If you get the chance, stay at the Universal Hard Rock Hotel. This hotel is AWESOME! Big, beautiful, but still homey. The staff were very nice and completely accommodating. If you are visiting Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure, this location is perfect and the perks are worth the price. Will definitely stay at the Universal Hard Rock Hotel […] in the future. Our main target was the Universal parks. The hotel was perfectly located, offered great service and had everything we needed to have a great stay.

Staying at the hotel give access to express lanes which is a bonus. Comfortable stay at the hotel as well.

Very convenient to the parks and City Walk. It was great to get into the park early too. We wee able to ride the Harry Potter rides before the park gates opened to the general public. We had a great time overall and hope to do it again soon.

If you are going to the parks, this location is wonderful. The room was very warm and had a musty smell. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wish they would update the hallways/rooms and get better air conditioning. I would probably not return solely on room condition and comfort level.

This hotel was extremely convenient to all the Universal attractions. Even after a long day at the park, it was a short walk back to the hotel. The pool was great and the room was very comfortable. The restuarant had convient breakfast items we could take back to the room for a relaxed morning. Also the passes to get into Harry Potter 1 hr before the […] rest of the park were KEY. My stay in HRH was good but i had 2 problems about service. One night we took dinner as they offer to my family dinner with Characters. The food is expensive and the quality is bad, about characters only came HOMER SIMPSONS and BART no anybody else when i made check out and was on the way to my next point my wife remembered that she forgot her pillow […] on the room. Its a special pillow that she use allways so we back to the hotel few minutes after our check out and the pillow was not there. Security dont have, housek also dont have.........nobody have !!!!!! service is very very poor Lisez la suite

I statyed for 1 night on a solo trip mainly to take advantage of the early entry to IOA/WWOHP. The price of the room was a little more than what I was paying at the Boardwalk hotel at WDW with my annual pass discount.. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. The rooms are clean and large, the beds were comfortable. There was a long walk from the elevator to the […] room but that is true in all these huge resort hotels. I did not use the pool but it looked nice and was quite large. It was about a 7 min walk to the Universal Parks or you could take a boat. The extra hour in WWOHP was invaluable. I walked on to the rides and only waited 20min for olivanders. By 9:10 the wait for the main ride was 90 minutes! There was a cafeteria style resturant as well as the more upscale Palm resturant but I did not eat there. I did check out the "Velvet Lounge" The bartender was friendly and they had a nice list of specialty cocktails. They were hosting an open mic comedy night which was painful I would have rather listened to music. The key system in the first room they gave me was broken so it took about 40 min to sort this out. It was annoying but the staff was doing their best to be helpful and offered me a free drink coupon for the trouble. They do charge for parking and the lot was not convient to the front desk. I ended up dragging my suitcase up 3 flights of stairs from the lot to the lobby but I guess I could have called a bell man to assist with this. I was happy with my stay but if I come back to Universal I would likely try the other Lowes Hotels at Universal just to see them before staying here again unless it was substaintially cheaper. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and had a great time. The location is fantastic, as we were only there for 3 days we wanted to be near Universal. The fast-passes we were issued by the hotel made the trip round Universal even easier! The rooms were slightly dated but not unpleasant and beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the pool and the poolside […] entertainment was fantastic! I would definately stay at this hotel again, only this time I would like our stay to be slightly longer to enjoy it more. Lovely hotel with fabulous atmosphere. Restaurant food fantastic. Pool area welcoming and well maintained. Proximity to theme parks and fast past ticket invaluable. Brilliant place to stay for all ages.

Excellent hotel. Best thing is location to the Universal Parks. Rooms modern and clean. Staff very friendly. Dont like seperate charge for the internet access and the arrangement the hotel has with the provider is poor. Do not make any calls from your room it is very very expensive.

The hotel was very nice and a short walk to parks and Cityplace. If you don't want to walk a water taxi or a bike cart can take you over to the parks. We enjoyed the walk the grounds we beautiful. I did not care for all the noise the housekeep made cleaning the rooms on each side of us. Also, a lot of hallway noise I found it to be very aggravating […] trying to sleepin in and catch a quick afternoon nap. My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and it was great! Just a walk away from Universal and Islands of Adventure and the free Express price make it really worth it.. One day we did a taxi to Epcot (it was $100 r/t!)! I would recommend the restaurants: Tchop chop that is at the neighboring hotel, they send you a free towncar to take you there. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November. The hotel itself is nice, it's quite big and has a nice pool area with a few restaurants and coffee shops etc. we didn't spend much time there as we were at the park but we had the breakfast buffet one day which was nice and a milkshake from the snack shop which was lovely! The rooms are nice. The bathrooms […] could do with updating but they are clean and have everything you need. We didn't have a garden view as the description said but as we weren't there much it didn't really matter. The best thing about the hotel is that you are only a ten minute walk/boat ride/bus ride away from the park entrance. Also you get automatic express pass with your room key and this was brilliant as you get to the front of they queue - I think the maximum time we had to wait was ten minutes. It isn't available on some rides though - most notably the new Harry Potter ride. However Harry Potter world at Islands of Adventure is open one hour early to hotel guests and it is worth taking advantage of this as it gets very very busy. In summary I would stay here again but only because of the park benefits. I would consider staying at one of the other two universal hotels as they are cheaper but have the same benefit. At the end of the day you don't spend much time at the hotel so you just need a good bed to crash out in! Lisez la suite

I've stayed in Orland before but the Hard Rock is the best choice. This was my fourth stay. It is a great hotel!

In general my wife and I found service to be courteous and prompt by all personnel from checkin, concierge service, room service to check out after a 2 night stay. Room had strong odor of bleach when first entered but this scent dissipated shortly thereafter our bell man suggested we set the a/c 70 degrees. Room was clean comfortable but a tad dated […] for the cost no whirlpool bath, 2 double beds where very comfortable, TV was state of the art with an adequate viewing menu. We did have one unsatisfactory experience which occurred as result of a family member's brief visit the parking attendant would not allow him to leave saying his parking had not been paid when I had already charged his parking to my room just moments earlier evidently we should have received a receipt after paying but did not perhaps because it was charged to my room. Needless to say the treatment he received on his attempt to exit the premises was highly unsatisfactory one attendant stated openly "its all about revenue" they insinuated he pay again from his own pocket. finally one of the attendants checked with the parking cashier and verified my guest's paid ticket. In the mean time other vehicles attempting to exit lot had to needlessly wait in que until the matter was settled. I suggested to a supervisor in a later exchange that the hotel's policy be reviewed to avert similar experiences. Lisez la suite

I was very pleased with the Hard Rock Hotel Orlando. It was clean, very convenient, & the staff was always very friendly, helpful, and very polite. The grounds are beautiful. Only negative is that it is pricey. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

The hotel was wonderful - super nice employees. Comfy beds... Super convinent to Universal Parks. Only problem I had was I could hear everything outside my hotel room- people who walk, talk & kids running down the hallway can be heard clearly. Walls are thin & you could hear the guests next door. For the price it wasn't worth it.

Hard Rock Hotel is awesome, we have stayed there many tmes and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Our stay at the Orlando HardRock hotel was very exciting for us. It is a magnificent hotel in design and appearance. It is in very close proximity to the theme parks with a short, scenic walk. Service was top notch. Our room was adequate--nothing over the top special for the extra money i would have spent in a nationwide hotel chain. Could have used […] a fridge and a microwave for our use. The appliance there was strictly for a room bar. The only thing I missed (which has become commonplace with traveling today) was a (continental) complimentary breakfast. This especially comes in handy when you are going out to the theme parks and cannot afford to waste time. Lisez la suite

Had a lovely stay in this hotel, and will go back. Only stayed one night, and wish we'd stayed longer. Took advantage of all the perks of staying in an on-site hotel for Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. And the advantages were huge. Spent a lovely few hours at the hotel pool and in the bar restaurant after park time and it was very energetic; […] the music is loud and as long as that's what you expect, you won't be disappointed or annoyed. Only problem with a longer stay would the very limited shop on-site. Almost $5 for a small bottle of water would be difficult for an average family to maintain on holidays. This hotel was unbelievable. Early check in. 8am. Rooms straight away. Off to Universal parks with room key which acts as a fast pass on rides. Home early evening. Cocktails in pool watching Sharks Tale with kids. Staff so nice. Beds so comfortable couldn't stay awake long enough to enjiy room. Next day early check out as headed to park for guest early […] entry to Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Got to do all of Harry Potter world before crowds arrived. Finished up in Parks by lunch. Back over to hotel to relax by pool. Waiter service by pool a bonus. Also come round with little extras like fresly cut orange segments to refresh you. Can only say wish we had stayed longer. This is a great place to stay if you don't want to drive. The staff are excellent and the concierge on the 7th floor rocks. It was a bit cold on my last visit and the pool scene was slow but it picked up on the weekend The pool bar is great for lunch and drinks. Rooms are nice...I wish they had doors or windows that open, room was a bit dry and stuffy […] but I did find out they will put a humidifier I'n your room on request. We loved staying at Hard Rock at Universal. Loved the convenience of the hotel to the park. Just a short walk and you are there. The amenities in the room are great. Flat screen TV, spa toiletries, comfortable beds. The absolute best part was getting to use our room key as our Express Pass to attractions at Universal. Not only do you get a fast pass to Universal during your stay, but you get a whole hour at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter without the regular folks (from 8 to 9 am)!

Very Nice hotel, a little on the pricey end but the location is fantastic. It does get noisy on the weekends though and the pool area gets very loud. The hottub was not that hot and there were lots of kids, under 10, in the hottub w/o adults so the staff needs to monitor the pool area. Hotel was lovely, well placed etc. Just one problem. We placed two bottles of water in the fridge in our room. When we returned on the second day, we found the fridge locked and the water had been removed. We asked for its return and were told that the hotel had thrown it away, as it shouldn't have been placed "in the minibar". We pointed out that […] the hotel had, therefore, stolen our property ... and the Receptionist said we would be charged an extra $25 per night for "misusing" the minibar. I spoke to the Manager, who did not levy this "fine" and agreed to reimburse us for the water, but we still felt that the hotel had committed a gross breach of trust. If our possessions were placed somewhere in our room they didn't want them to be placed, the should have moved them to somewhere they considered to be appropriate ... they should not have taken them away.
