We had a terrific time museum theater everything was close by and the romm was quiet the pool very nice alouds to relax and the people working there are very hlpful and friendly we will come back and recommand this hotel!!!
"très bon hôtel excellent standing"
Nous avons apprécié cet hôtel où nous avons passé deux nuits. Bon acceuil. Les chambres sont spacieuces avec de très grands lits. Nous ne sommes pas restés assez longtemps pour profiter de la piscine. En conclusion, nous avons été très satisfait de ce choix.
A fine business hotel with great views on the upper floors. The only drawback is that the room service food is terrible, and I am far from a foodie. That said, it wasn't a major problem --- it's not like it is hard to find good restaurants in London.
"The Grange City Hotel in London"
The hotel is on the doorstep of the Tower of London, and Tower Hill tube station. On arrival we were upgraded (we had booked the most basic room) and yes - we did have to ask for the bath robe / slippers - this is only provided if you ask. The swimming pool was marvellous, roman influenced, due to the location of the hotel and the ancient roman wall […] (we've been to London before, and did not know this existed, so it was a nice find -however, it is not pointed out at reception / in the hotel info, that I can tell - we looked for it as another reviewer had mentioned it). The gym was excellent, and we loved the sauna, steam and aromatherapy rooms. We booked spa massages - excellent, and within the average price range. The changing facilities were brilliant, although to be fair, the shower doors were looking a little bit scruffy. We didn't notice any of the noise that was reported in previous reviews (although if the window was open, you could hear the trains . traffic - it is London, after all). However, the walls are thin and you could hear the neighbours getting home / going out. It did not wake us up, though. We did NOT have breakfast as £23 / £31 per person (continental / full english) is just insane. There are loads of restaurants / pubs / cafes in the area doing full english for £6. This was the hotel's only disappointing feature. The soaps in the bathroom were lovely and there were plenty of teas and coffees. We would definately recommend this hotel, and would stay here again. "Nice stay,, small room"
Had a nice stay at the Hotel although there are others in the area that I've stayed with that were cheaper and had larger rooms + breakfast for the price. That said the hotel was very nice and the gym/pool/sauna etc an good addition.
"loved it"
Its a very nice hotel with a nice acsess to the Tower Hill tube, not far away to the hearth of london, i was meet by a nice staff, and even got a complementary upgrad with a very nice view over the Tower and Tower bridge, the room service was great as well, fast and always with a smile and polite question to enter. the swimming pool was great although […] maybe little bit small and short of dept, but i found the whole absoluty good enough to swim more then once, also to pont out it was very easy to get to from Heathrow with the tube, its only one chagne from the piccadilly line (to district or Circle line) took about 1 hour to get there. i recomend this hotel to everyone who needs a good nice hotel wich is central, close to the tube and easy to get home to at night.. "The Grange City Hotel London is excellent."
We have just had a lovely weekend in London and stayed at the Grange City Hotel. This is an excellent place to stay with brilliant service. The overall condition of the hotel was excellent, it was very clean and very well kept. The breakfast on both mornings was excellent. I would recommend this as the ideal place to stay when in London.
"Grange City Hotel - London"
Great location if doing business in the City. Excellent staff and facilities. Fantastic value for money.
"bathroom"
The bathroom is far too small. The bath tub too high to get in and especially out when it is slippery after the shower

"Lovely"
It was a lovely hotel and a lovely stay. We wanted a relaxing weekend away and that was what me and my partner got. Only down fall was the breakfast was so expensive and we could not understand some of the staff and misunderstood what was said other wise we would not have payed nearly £50 for 2 breakfasts, apart from that it was lovely, very polite […] and quiet and relaxing. "Almost perfect...."
The deposit-taking for hotel services I did not request or even need took way too long
"Grange City Hotel: Not worth its 5 stars at all"
From the outside the Hotel gives quite a good impression, however as soon as you get out of the taxi nobody is there to greet you and assist with your luggage which is the norm for a 5star. - The lobby decoration is of a very bad taste, too much cheap gold - The staff is very condescendant and not professional (he was chatting with his Colleague whilst […] I was checking in) - There is a cigarette smell in the lobby - The lift are awfully decorated with golden mirrors - The room had a terrible smell, furniture was old fashioned and cheap - Bathroom looked like that of a 2star hotel, dirty faience - Very unconmfortable bed - Noisy, I could hear other guest snoring etc... This hotel needs a serious refreshing!!! I would not recommend it and it is far too expensive for the bad quality provided. Lisez la suite
"What a Night"
Noisy room (917) due to night club noise until 5am. Railway line running just under our room. The room was a superior double, not sure what it was superior too!! At 4.30am we had people (guest of the hotel I assume) trying to enter our room with a room key/card. We were told on departure that a manager would phone us later, we new this would never happen […] when they wrote our tel number on the smallest post-it-note known to man!!! A great time in London spoilt by a hotel portraying something we didn't get. Lisez la suite

Comfortable hotel with a lively and friendly bar. Conveniently located for the Tower of London.
"Great hotel, whatch the added costs!"
This is a fantastic hotel, very clean, great staff and very enjoyable stay. The only dark side is the cost of extras. We had breakfast in the morining, full English, very nice but at £31 EACH!.....they are taking the micky!!! Walk out, past Trinity house, 200mt and there is a Weatherspoons selling Full English at £3.99
Great hotel at a reasonable price for London. It's a long and expensive cab ride from central London but Underground is very close.
"Grange City Hotel"
Very pleased with my stay at this hotel. We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night for sightseeing. I had no problem with hotel service, check in / out was efficient, and we could leave our bags after we'd checked out on the last day. If anything the staff were a little too attentive - I prefer to be left to my own devices. Didn't use pool or gym […] (although this was a factor in choosing the hotel). Had a quick look at the facilities and they looks well run and much better than average for a hotel. Wifi in room is free (despite the listing implying that it isn't) Didn't have breakfast - at £23 per head for continental this is extortionate. Plenty of options within walking distance. The location is very close to Tower Hill underground (and several others), so it is easy to get into more central areas or West End. Having said that I really enjoyed walking around the city area. It is relatively quiet at weekends - which is a pleasant change after a busy days sightseeing. Whilst some are shut, many bars and restaurants are open within waling distance. Overall great for a weekend visit to London Lisez la suite
"Not a 5 Star!"
Booked a treat for my partner...but rather than a treat.....had a nightmare stay. The room was only set up for 1 person, the aircon was making terrible noises, the tube felt it was just outside the door and the bed was so soft that every time we started to fall asleep we almost rolled out of the bed. We had no sleep and I ended up with a bad back - […] that I had to go for a massage before we could go shopping. We were so tired by lunch time - we gave in and went home! Lisez la suite
"Close to Tower"
I read a review here before arriving at this hotel and had the exact same experience. Check in took ages but then was given a huge executive room. Room was great (bathroom could have been bigger given size of room) and sound proofing from next door was poor. A very big pools in central London.

"Great stay in the UK"
The Grange Hotel is a great place to stay-the rooms are comfortable, the indoor pool/spa an oasis from sightseeing, the staff extremely helpful and it's convenient to the Underground!

"Grange City Hotel London"
Excellent location beside the Tower of London and Tower Underground station so very easy to get around. The basement swimming pool is fantastic and I only wish it had been a longer stay so as to avail of it more but then who travels to London to swim in a hotel pool? We had booked a Superior Double room and I have genuine doubts that this is what we […] ended up with. It was a nice, clean but bog-standard room in what claims to be a five star hotel. The bathroom was much smaller than the pictures on the website showed for this standard of room. The site boasted of Molton Brown toileteries but featured the usual obscure hotel branded goods, bathrobes were to be provided but there were none in the room on arrival and we had to call reception to get them delivered. I raised my concerns about the room with the staff and they said that it was a Superior Double and that all the other rooms were taken. I had specifically e-mailed them in advance to say we would be arriving late and that we wanted the room we had booked and paid for. I feel they ignored my request and that I paid extra for what was meant to be a rare bit of luxury and the whole experience was soured by the feeling that we had been taken for a ride. Its a nice hotel but if I was to stay here again, which I might, I wouldn't bother with the upgrade as it didn't seem to make any difference. Lisez la suite
"Grange City - near finance district, London Tower"
Grange City Hotel is on the East end of the financial district, making it a great hotel for business travel, not necessarily so for leisure travel and tourists. It is also right next to the London Tower Bridge and Tower of London, but not close to other attractions nor much shopping or restaurants. Staff was very nice and great at helping out with questions, […] etc. The hotel has a modern look and feel, and a great view if you are on the river-side. View from the other side is block by other buildings unless on the 11th floor or higher. Part of the original London city wall from Roman times still remains right next to the hotel if you go out the front door and then walk around to the left side of the hotel. If the location suits your needs I would recommend this hotel, but for tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping you might look for a better location (everything in this area shuts down early). "A reliable and comfortable stay near the Tower"
This was our second stay here and it's just a really good hotel for the weekend (prices go up during the week because of the City). Excellent transport links, comfortable walking distance to Brick Lane, St. Paul's, the Museum of London, etc. Big comfy bed, excellent shower, good service, it's a really good place to stay.
"Nice Hotel - but not a great location for evenings"
No complaints about the hotel - nice rooms and service. However, the location was not the liveliest. It was difficult to find a restaurant open at 8pm on a Saturday night. This part of town seemed more like a business district that has no life after 6.

"Grange City Hotel Londond, UK"
The service personnel were friendly, but overworked. Also, they had distinct job profiles: a receptionist would not help with a "concierge" question even though he'd be gone and she wasn't busy. The rooms are shabby and tastelessly decorated, but clean; and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was way overpriced with cheap tasteless food and […] almost no selection. The restaurant was ugly and noisy. I know that London is overpriced, but this was very little value for the money. It is definitely not 5 star, not even close to three or four. You should not rate hotels just by their amenities, but by their service standards and ambiance. Lisez la suite
"Grange City Hotel - Excellence"
A few friends wished to celebrate an anniversary and chose this 5* hotel which incredibly was within our budget through hotels.com. Great location, for tube and commuting. Service was of a very high standard and this was offered in a very pleasant way by exceptional staff. We had a most enjoyable stay there and would hope to be able to visit again.
"Fantastic Stay"
Love this hotel 2nd time ive been this time upgraded to executive room with a view over the tower of london which was fantastic i cannot think of anything bad about this hotel stayed in room 1001 perfect view. be carefull with the key cards if you put the near a mobile phone it wipes the card and you need to get it re-programmed. Breakfast is too expensive […] but there is a wetherspoons turn left out the hotel and right just before the tower hill exit and follow the road. Lisez la suite
"Great hotel, rubbish reception"
A great hotel in so many respects, from the location to the fabulous rooms & facilities (25m pool). I've been back loads of times and it's amazing that management haven't addressed the hotels most obvious weakness - the reception desk. Usually only one or two staff checking people in/out no matter how busy it gets, and how do they spin the process out […] that long? Always lots of irritated people queing. However, once you're inside - fabulous! Lisez la suite
"Happy experience"
The hotel was well located, next to Tower Hill tube, and close to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. There are lots of stairs when leaving the tube, which made it difficult with the luggage, but otherwise the location was great. The hotel supplies lots of magazines in the rooms and has lots of chairs around the reception in order to sit and relax […] and read more magazines. There seemed to be more than 1 set of lifts which was a bit confusing. My room was 431 which overlooked a train line, but there was absolutely no noise. The bath was really big and nice products were supplied. Check-out was 11.00am but I asked for more time and was allowed to check out at noon which was great. After crossing Tower Bridge it's possible to walk to the London Dungeon attraction and it was a nice area to walk around and have some lunch. The hotel was expensive, but a good experience and I would go there again. Lisez la suite

"Good hotel for the price"
We stayed at the Grange City for two nights and found it very pleasant. The hotel is about 100m from Tower Hill tube, and from higher rooms on one side of the hotel, views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are fantastic. On arrival, we were told we had a twin room reserved, when in fact we had booked a double. They upgraded us to an executive […] room, which was nice, but not really more than I had expected from a standard room, except for bed size. The bed was huge and comfortable, though. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but found all staff very polite. For the rate we paid, which was very reasonable, I would recommend this hotel. Every attraction is less than 30 mins away, even though the hotel is not as central as some. Lisez la suite
"all as it should be"
Everything was as expected after reading other reviews. Nothing to complain about & nothing outstanding. The breakfast buffet is a little "tired" for the quality of the hotel, but always possible to walk over the road to the Novotel opposite!
"The Grange London Tower Bridge"
Although check-in was very busy I was attended to quite quickly. Very Friendly and professional staff. Located 2 minutes from Tower Bridge this hotel was good value fo money for London - big rooms although somewhat tired, great gym and pool and OK breakfast room. The concierge went above and behond his call of duty to help me get a painting I bought […] wrapped and protected for my trip home to Hong Kong. Would go back there in the future. Lisez la suite
"would recommend it but with qualifiers . . ."
The hotel appears understaffed and rather petty in it's rules (inflexible). Although claimed to be a five star hotel, I would rate it four star. The staff want to help but are clearly understaffed and overworked for the numbers of people coming and going BUT all of the above must be taken into consideration as the price is reflective of same. I stayed […] with two kids in one room and ordered room service our first night. The tray with food on it remained in our rooms until we left. Yes we could have put the tray out but the halls are so narrow as to have been a trip hazzard. Dont forget to put your DO NOT DISTURB sign out too, two out of two mornings a faint knock came a 9:30AM. Other than a few signs of staff being pushed too hard (such as the cleaning staff needing to get the rooms done asap) and the 11 AM check out with only a couple of guys to help with luggage storage and a long queue to follow it was fine for the price. Lisez la suite
"A hotel with atmosphere"
I think this hotel almost qualifies as a 'boutique.' The staff are very attentive and willing to assist and gives the impression of very hands on management with attention to the needs of guests. At night the bar is a very friendly place to relax. The location is perfect for City business or City sightseeing.
"Grange City Hotel, London,UK"
We had a marvelous room [914] which looked out towards the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the River Thames-panoramic view through floor to ceiling windows. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. There is a nice spa in the basement with an enormous swimming pool. We just had breakfast in the modern restaurant. The food was good BUT […] the staff were rather inattentive. We had a drink in the bar and the barman did not seem very knowledgeable about his whiskeys. However I would stay there again as it is a comfortable convenient oasis near to the city. Lisez la suite

"a good choice"
excellent location for us. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very courteous. Breakfast was expensive at £20 pp ! (although it was good)
"Not for the weekend Tourist"
The Grange City Hotel is not a 5 star hotel - at best its 4 star. The hotel itself is ok - in fairness the hotel staff were pretty attentive and we were upgraded to a Tower View. The room itself is disappointing. Now the main killer here is its location. We picked this hotel because it was a very reasonably priced 5 star hotel - the price though always […] reflects what you get. The District and Circle line was closed meaning it took so long to get anywhere. This meant we had to take taxi's everywhere. The savings were eroded. I would pay an extra 100EUR a night to stay in the West End. Anytime. Overall I won't be going back here. Maybe for a business conference during the week it makes sense. But as a weekend getaway - Do not pick this hotel! Lisez la suite
