Joli petit hôtel, excellent accueil, calme et très bien tenu.Un plus pour le verre de l'amitié servi le soir entre 17 et 18 heures et le café/thé à volonté durant la journée.Personnel très accueillant et sympathique. Vivement recommandé

"Hotêl proche de la place Union Square"
J'ai passé deux jours dans cet hotêl. L'entretien est correct et les chambres sont propres, le personnel est accueillant et souriant, toujours prêt à rendre service. I went there as part of my honeymoon trip and all I can say, you wont lose staying there. First of all the location is great! You have a cable car station right on the corner so you can move easily to wherever you wan (also MUNI Buses down the street) and also Union Square is just a few blocks away. "good room...bad ending and service"
Thinks were fine until the very end, which is usually one's last impression. Valet there is very expensive - $45 a night and they ask you call 15-20 minutes ahead of time to get your car. I did this on my final day and actually called 25 minutes prior. When I arrived nobody had called for the car and everyone seemed to be blaming someone else. There […] were 3 opportunities by the staff there to apologize and nobody did. I was shocked and upset and even asked for one - and still did not receive one for not having my car ready. I had to wait another 15 minutes for the car in the lobby and again, nobody wanted to acknowledge their mistake. I still can't get over the lack of unprofessionalism here. I really like how cozy this place was. It was very well kept with an excellent staff, from the doorman (who is so friendly) to their front desk. The only issue I had was their TV couldn't get constant reception on most channels. "A Decent Place To Stay"
The hotel is on Bush, if it were one block South, on Sutter, it would be slightly better, but overall it's in a good safe location (though as you wander towards the tenderloin it gets seedy). I switched rooms because mine faced an alleyway (same as the Marriot on Sutter) on a lower floor and was noisy during garbage pickup. If you a desire a simple (no pool, limited work-out room) hotel, the Orchard is terrific. The staff is friendly, location great for walking to things around central SF and the rooms and bathrooms are nicely appointed. I was happily surprised by this find. The room was clean and the best part is it was quiet! The door is super thick. Probably the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at, whatever they did as far as preventing sound from traveling from room to room they did a good job at. "fraudsters hurting for money"
The hotel is clearly hurting for money. There were no other guests staying here. The hotel fraudulently debited my card for a $500 smoking fee in which was illegitimate. Nobody from the hotel called. "On A Hill in the Downtown"
A very nice boutique hotel with outstanding staff, good downtown location. Great for business, a 15 minute cab ride from the waterfront. If you can't take hills, SF is not the place to go walking; I walked one evening to Filmore St to the Sheba Cafe for jazz and Ethiopian food and got a pretty good aerobic workout (but the food and music made it worthwhile). […] Breakfast was good but not great; coffee was very good (always important for me), eggs and toast good, but bacon was overdone and fresh fruit was unripe. "Fantastic hotel in a great location"
We visit SF regularly and this is the first time we have stayed at the Orchard. We were so impressed by the hotel that we will stay at the Orchard on future visits. Given the price this is a fantastic hotel in a great location. All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room was large, comfortable, tastefully furnished and clean.
