L'hotel est situé dans un quartier calme et reposant. D'apparence exterieure modeste, les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Les lits sont de grande qualité. Veillez cependant à ne pas prendre une chambre située à côté de la machine à glaçons dans le couloir. Le parking est cher, mais il y a souvent de la place dans la rue à proximité, sans payer la nuit. La situation de l'hotel est idéale pour visiter les différents quartiers de San Francisco, à pied, en tramway, en voiture ou en taxi. C'est une très jolie ville. La ballade à pied sous un ciel bleu est à recommander particulièrement. La découverte des embarcadères est très sympa, ainsi qu'une journée au delà du Golden Gate en pleine nature.

Chambre sobre, bien décorée, propre dans un hotel bien placé (ligne de bus à proximité qui emmène au downtown et à moins de dix minutes de marche de la baie) et dans un quartier chic et calme la nuit. Si vous avez un véhicule, le parking n'est pas grand (normal vu le quartier) et il n'est pas evident de trouver une place après 20h.
Situation
Au cœur de San Francisco, l'établissement Orchard Hotel se trouve à quelques minutes de marche des sites SF Playhouse et Union Square. Les sites Academy of Art University et Westfield San Francisco Center Shopping Mall se trouvent également à proximité.

Union Square est encadré de magasins prestigieux à l'avant-garde du commerce de la côte Ouest. Other than the water shower pressure is weak in my room (210), the overall stay is superb!
Super location, steps to cable cars and a short walk to Chinatown. Our room was spacious and clean. Because it was at the rear, the view was to an adjacent roof, but was quiet at night likely for that reason. Staff are friendly and helpful. "Clean and Convenient"
The hotel is located close to Union Square and just steps from the Powell Street cable car lines. The room was large, clean and well furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants in the area.

The staff at the Orchard Hotel was fantastic, the room was very clean.The hotel is centrally located. If we ever go back to San Francisco we would stay there. Union square needs to clean up the beggars, that was the only issue we had on our vacation
"Only one complaint"
My husband was in town on business for a week and I accompanied him. We loved the hotel. Our only complaint was the internet service. The speed of connection was pretty awful (slow) most of the time despite the fact that the hotel staff said it had just upgraded its service.

"A Great Hotel in Great Location"
The Orchard is a value packed hotel. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The room was very clean and quiet. The close proximity to Union Square makes this hotel ideal. The comlimentary WiFi was most welcomed. A wide selection of channels on TV, but the TV was an old CRT type - not a big deal. Overall this hotel is a gem.

Everything was as promised in the hotel description. The hotel was conveniently located a few blocks from everything we needed (Chinatown, Powell Street) and hotel staff were friendly and helpful in getting a few "out-of-towners" to the hotspots.

Had a great stay except for, we were on the 10th floor and the hot water took about 8 minutes to reach our room. My son was on the 5th floor and he had no problems with the hot water. And the windows didn't open.

Centrally located along Powel St. at a cable car stop that can take you down to Mission or up to Fisherman's warf. Large room and bathroom, unlike most older hotels.

"Orchard Hotel SF - Both Friendly and Eco-Friendly"
We really liked the Orchard Hotel-- the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, the location was convenient to Union Square and to the theaters, and the hotel works hard to be 'green' as well. We have always had an excellent stay. Great staff. The doorman in particular both day and evening. However it is time to upgrade your TV's. The font desk staff was accommodating when I requested an upgrade.

Decided to party on New years Eve and wanted to stay in a central location where we could walk to our destination. We lucked up on a room at the Orchard Hotel jus a few blocks from our party. Great location for Union Square area. Lots of places to eat/drink. View from our room was disappointing. The bed was super comfy. The hotel was very quiet and we heard no outside traffic. Staff were very sweet.

Tlhe location of this hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the SF area. Chinatown and Union Square are an easy walk. Within six blocks, you can catch the Bart, cable car, trolley and/or bus to most any scenic location. "Fabulous location"
Excellent location with the cable car right on the doorstep (it's literally just around the corner). It's within walking distance of union square (i recommend taking the cable car back to the hotel, it's a steep climb uphill!). Beds are comfy and room nice,clean and spacious!

"Lots of room!"
It was so nice to have such large rooms and especially in the bathroom! The location was fabulous -walking distance from Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, downtown shopping, etc. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed very comfortable and quiet nights there. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

This hotel has everything going for it except for ownership. During our last day in San Francisco, the hotel began remodeling work in the dining room. unfortunately, the work continued well past 10:00 pm and only slowed down because of the numerous complaints from guest trying to sleep - the only real reason for a hotel room. Other guests and i were […] basically told we were unwelcome at the hotel by a woman later described to me as one of the owners of the hotel. Work did continue as i heard it until at least 3:00 am - although much toned down from the hammering that had gone on before. for someone in the hospitality business to not even apologize for the noise is totally unacceptable. although our room was on the second floor, others were disturbed who were on the seventh floor. "Clean, quiet, comfortable, great location"
I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in San Francisco. The room was lovely and spacious. It had a very comfortable bed with high thread-count sheets and a down comforter. The bathroom was sparkling clean and large with great towels. "Great little get away"
I booked this hotel for a little get away I had planned for my wife and I. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a great time walking around the surrounding area and there were some great places to eat! I would definetly recommend this place to anyone and we will be going back.

Great value to stay in San Francisco. We booked months in advance through Hotels.com and got a great rate. When I was at the front desk using their internet service I heard the clerk turning people away at twice what we paid. (no vacancy) You don't come to SF to sit in your room. The rooms are nice and the hotel is centrally located.
