Not what was expected ay all!! You think of gas stations and an affordable place to stay for the night when it comes to Terrible's. But, the room was well decorated, large and clean. Door from the back of the room(1st floor) lead out to a small pation and directly to the grounds surrounding the pool. It was a pleasant surprise and we will definitely stay there again. There was no Iron or Ironing board in the room, but housekeeping delivered it within 5 minutes upon our call. Overall a great experience.

Stay was average for the most part. The do apparently use antiqued equipment (dot-matrix printers) and when they printed out our itinerary (that had us for a 3 night stay), because of a perforation in the paper, it looked to them like a one night stay and the staff locked us out of our room after two nights, and tried to bill us for the additional two nights stay. I had to give authorization for the charges in order to gain access to our room and our belongings in order to get the Hotel.com's itinerary e-mailed to me. I then took it down to show them where THEY were in error. Eventually I prevailed, and they agreed not to charge me for two additional nights. Beyond this hassle, the stay was about what you'd expect for the price. One very big plus in their favor: They do not charge a daily "Guest or Resort" fee that ranges anywhere from $9.99 to $19.95 or so PER NIGHT.

It's a good deal especially at the last minute and on a weekend. Everything was decent but I wouldn't recommend taking a date/significant other because there isn't anything romantic or sexy about the hotel. If you just need a place to sleep this would do. The front desk was very pleasant and quick during check in.

Check in and out was easy, they have a free shuttle to and from the airport. I didn't have a car, but they have lots of parking and are about a 15 minute walk from the strip. The room was very quiet with a nice view of some mountains in the distance, very spacious, and just a little musty. The mattresses did crackle with plastic, but the sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable. Great place for the price!

This was our 2nd stay at Terribles. Perfect location for visiting the UNLV campus. Excellent TV and bed. The room was very neat and clean. The only room complaint is the shower head is too low for the tall guests. The buffet was OK. There are many better in LV. The service in the cafe was very spotty. Some of the waitresses are very good and some are very bad. We got one of each during our visit.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and in good condition. It was basic accommodations for a decent price. We ate at the cafe several times and the food was good, in contrast to other reviewers that I read. I did not eat at the buffet. I am happy with my stay and would do it again.

It was a noisy because we had our window open but we didn't mind since we were out most of the time when the gardeners were working. Name fits well. Poor choice of hotel, fake eye lashes were found in multiple places in the room. Front desk seemed like we were inconveniencing them by checking in. Surrounding are was very shady especially at night. I know its vegas, but when you see multiple people passed out on the sidewalk and have to walk over them it isn't really the place you want to be. Hot tube was broken ( or changed to a cold tub) with cups and towels still there from the night before. would not recommend.

Commentaire d'un client de Hotels.com le mai 25, 2010
I cannot fault this hotel. Although the Terrible's decor is a little dated, I was as happy staying here as 5 star hotels I have also stayed at in other parts of the world. The food is excellent value for money, price and quality. The pool area is lovely and clean and not overcrowded like many of the big hotels on the strip. Constant supply of fresh towels. The room itself was clean and comfortable with the bonus of free wi-fi (and free internet access in the sports room if you choose not to take your laptop). The hotel shop was very reasonably prices for snacks and alcohol. Whilst the location is approx 25 mins walk from the strip, I actually preferred this as you feel like you escape the crowds of the strip for a while whilst still being close enough to access restaurants and shops. And the Flamingo road bus stops right outside the Terribles if you don't fancy the walk. The casino itself is also perfectly adequate for the size of the hotel. If I return to Las Vegas, I would definitely choose this hotel over one of the larger ones on the strip.

Commentaire d'un client de Hotels.com le mai 24, 2010
The price was right for being a mile off the Strip. The hotel was an older hotel, but was clean. I wouldn't recommend the food at the hotel as it was average and of "diner" quality. We found a couple of resturants along Flamingo Road that offered better food at the same price. They happen to be demolishing the parking lot during the day for our stay, but since we werent there it wasn't a problem; however, it would be have been nice had they let us know before hand that they were going to be doing this. We would have made sure our car wasn't parked next to the area they were laying down asphalt! STINKY!!! If you didn't have a car, the mile long walk to The Strip should only be done during the morning and not the afternoon in 95 degree weather! If you take a taxi it's about $10 bucks one way with tip to the Strip. Less if you have them take you to Bally's and then walk every where from there. Also wouldn't recommend walking the mile from the Strip back to the hotel at night, there are homeless people all along the way! Overall, the hotel was a good place to stay if all you want is a place to sleep. Couldn't beat the price of the room for that!

I found the front desk and the hotel manager rude and difficult to talk to. They talked over me as I explained my situation which is as follows. Hotel reservation made through Hotels.com and completely paid for. As i was there for work my company made the arrangements as they always do all over California, Arizona and Nevada and never have I had to pay out of my pocket upon check in a $200.00 deposit. My work doesn't give me any cash and I don't have a personal credit card so I was in quite a dilemma. I could not reach my boss till very late and I was tired and needed to get to my room. The manager would not let me stay until my boss gave his credit card again for the deposit. Never been treated like third class citizen before and I will never stay at Terribles nor recommend it to anyone. Vacationers beware.

We chose to stay at Terrible's because of the low price and the proximity to the Hard Rock Hotel, where we were going to see a concert. But I would stay there again if I'm just in town one night for a show.

We were in Vegas for a concert at the Hard Rock Hotel. Terrible's was right down the road and the price was right. The room was a nice size and clean. The bathroom had a separated bathtub and toilet room from the sink area. The casino/lobby area were quite smokey but in the room this was not an issue. I could only suggest improving the ventilation system in the casino/lobby area. It is also not "on the strip" but if that is not important to you, Terrible's is a great choice. On a final note, we only ate once there but I would recommend finding food elsewhere. It left much to be desired, even after a drunken concert evening...

TIPS FOR TERRIBLES 1. Sign up for your comps right away...They add up quick there, even on minimum betting limits. 2. Eat at the restaraunt not the Buffet. 3. If you dont have a car, wear comfortable shoes. 4. We wanted to make sure to save plenty of cash for gambling fun so we stayed a terribles for the price. If your walking wear comfortable shoes, I would say that its about a mile from the actual strip, its not that shady on the walk to the strip as long as you have some common sence. We stayed 2 nights at Terribles and had a really fun time, Im not sure but I think in the summer it will be a really fun hotel, it is right across from UNLV and alot of the needs for us were in walking distance. In the middle of winter it was kind of quiet in Vegas but we found lots of fun. We planned on using the cheap hotel and just partying on the strip and actually spent most of the time having fun at Terribles and the Hard Rock which is just down the street. The food was good and bad and I wouldn't rate it as high as I did except for the fact that they comp it so easily for game play, we almost ate for free while we were there. The steaks and burgers in the restaurant were real good. Milled the buffet not much to eat desert is terrible. The slots seamed loose there and the comps on slots are fast, I recommend the big event by the entrance and the slots over buy the players center...they seamed to consistenly hit for the days we were there for everyone that say there. Craps was real fun there, black jack was consistently full with a mix of tourists and locals. The poker area was under construction but the hard rock had a good game,,,,Make sure to check in with the pit boss and give them your players card. We could have taken 4 nights of rooms with the players points instead we got lots of souvigneers, ciggarettes, booze....etc and still have enough comp points for 2 nights stay for free. Overall i got more from Terribles then the 30 bucks a night we paid. When we return to

We went to Vegas to celebrate New Year. (me and my husband). 2010 baby! :) I was afraid that we would be too far from the strip because they close it off completely for New Years. With the help of Terrible's staff we were informed on how much the bus was to get to the strip, and how often it runs. We ended up waking to the strip, thats what everyone else was doing because the bus does not even take you all the way to the strip so you might as well walk. It was about a 10 min walk. The hotel was nicer that I thought, i believe the pictures up there were wrong because the beds were nice and comfy, they offered to give extra pillows when we checked in, there was a nice big flatscreen in the room and it was in the right spot if you like to lay down and watch tv. The only 2 issues i had were: 1.The sink got stopped up within the first 5 minutes I was there but I went down stairs to request a new room because I had this same issue at another vegas hotel but the guy at Terribles didnt take long at all and I didnt have any problems out of the sink for the rest of our stay. 2. The housekeeping did not come the next day to replace the towels or fix the bed. I didnt have a problem with the bed but the towels were unacceptable. I called down to the front desk, they sent them up immediately. Not a big deal because they solved both of my issues very fast and were very friendly about it.

We like Terribles because it is close to the strip, cheap, and has excellent deals on the restaurant and buffet. You can usually come across a 2 for 1 coupon for the buffet with players card. Two can eat breakfast with all the non-alcoholic drinks you want for under $10 with coupon. Rooms are clean and in good repair. The stand up shower is small but the water closet is separate from the sink, which is handy. Rooms have big flat screen tv's and are kept clean. In room coffee is a plus. Overall, the hotel is a little worn, but Terrible's is still a great value and a fun and convenient place to stay and play. Daily free slot tournament is fun, too.
