Hotel room was nice and quiet. The room did not have a microwave and fridge as stated in the standard information. The room service is extremely expensive and the food of low quality. Otherwise, the stay was very comfortable and the location is great for surrounding activities and attractions.

loved this hotel in the heart of the city. nice restaurants, lobby and very clean rooms. Only thing I would request is queen beds instead of doubles.

Should have let us know in advance- we were hoping for the pool which was closed for the weekend we stayed.

They had nice clean, comfortable room. We had a problem with our room key one day. Told the front desk about it, and within minutes maintenance was there getting us in. The spa and pool were both very relaxing. The restaurant's food was very upscale and delicious. All in all a great place to stay.

Convienent to all the downtown attractions. Good service, clean rooms. Excellent value.

I received a good value for the price paid. Hotel was very nice. Would defnitely stay there again.

The hotel its self was fine. My major issue was with the valet service. I used the service a total of 6 times and at each instance I was inconvienced or unhappy. the majority of the time the valet was no where to be found and when their was a valet present they never once opened my door. We have stayed in several large cities in the downtown area over the past few years. Chattanooga is a nice smaller city, but we really didn't realize how large and complete it's downtown area is. We were so very impressed. Chattanooga is close to home so only a special event prompted a stay. My wife and 13 year old daughter and I were supremely impressed […] with everything about our stay; the hotel, the Chatt Convention Ctr, the Aquariums, restaurants. Wow. GO TO CHATTANOOGA! The staff was friendly. Room was clean. My only issue was the bathroom sink area was small and there was very little room for my toiletries. But other than that, everything was fine. This was my second stay at the Chattanoogan and i would definitely stay there again.

Coming in from the cold you are greeted by the warmth of the Fireplace. Enjoyed my stay indeed..

We were able to take advantage of a sale through Hotels.com and were delighted with our stay at the Chattanoogan! I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here after a concert at the Tivoli. It was everything that was expected - nice accomodations, clean room, good location, and a neat fireplace in the lobby. I guess the only slight drawback was the fact that a fee was charged to park in the adjacent parking garage. Other than that, it was great.

The hotel is well kept, quiet and in a convenient location. This hotel has nice amenities for business travel, romantic getaways (they have a spa), however I would not recommend this hotel if traveling with kids. They have valet, which I don't care for. I like to have access to my car at my liesure. I will say that it was convenient this time around […] (winter) because they had our car all warmed up for us by the time we got downstairs. They do not serve breakfast. So if you are traveling with kids, plan to get up early so you don't miss breakfast at any diners before the kids start complaining of starvation. After a long day of tourism, we did not look forward to getting back to the hotel and into our beds. It was like sleeping on concrete. After 3 nights we all left with aching backs. All of the money we paid to stay there was not worth the backache we left with. We slept like babies when we finally got home to our beds and laid on our cheap mattresses. The location and quality of the hotel are excellent, but the service really needs an upgrade. It's the details that make the difference in a good or great experience and unfortunately, they come up short at The Chattanoogan. The valet, nor bell staff, even asked us if we wanted help when we first arrived and that was fairly indicative of the whole […] experience. We tried the hotel restaurant (whose menu looked great), but the small portions and expensive prices were just the start of a forgettable meal. 2 hrs later, the free dessert couldn't make up for the lack of attention reminiscient of the rest of the hotel. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and we will always plan our staying here upon returning to Chattanooga. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. It is convenient to all downtown activities, restaurants, and those living in the downtown area. We do recommend this hotel.

I stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year when visiting my daughter who is a student at UTC. Easy access to downtown and warehouse district restaurants, nice bar and room service is prompt. Love it!

A totally satisfying experience. Great facility and staff.

I would have thought the rooms would have been bigger. There wasn't a refigerator in the room. No view. The room never seemed to cool off. Check in time was mid afternoon.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel (my husband, young daughter, and I stayed there for a little vacation). It was very clean and nicely maintained. Also, it is located about a block away from the free shuttle, which takes you directly to many tourist attractions (Tennessee Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, etc). Although I got the feeling that […] this hotel is mainly used for business travel (it looks a lot like the places I stay in for business, and they were holding a business conference during our stay), there were a few families staying there, and I felt like it was pretty child-friendly. They have a great breakfast buffet (although this does cost $12/person, which I wasn't super excited about), but at least my toddler was not charged for the breakfast, which I appreciated. The only other minor complaints I have are: they charge $75 if you want a late checkout, which is often something most hotels will allow for free (and is very helpful when travelling with small children). And, they do charge for parking, even self-park (they offer valet as well), which I feel should be included for paying hotel guests. However, since the hotel is downtown, I guess parking is at a premium. And finally, their pool is pretty small and they only have an indoor (no outdoor) pool. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, especially at the low price we paid for the room. Lisez la suite

I've stayed at The Chattanoogan many times before but was very disappointed in the service I received on this stay. Upon checkin the desk clerk asked me to fill in all my personal information, so I asked her did they not have my information on file because I had stayed so many times before. She told me that since I opted to book thru hotels.com instead […] of them directly, that they wouldnt automatically pull my information, and had a bit of an attitude with me about it. My reservation was booked for a King room, but when I arrived I was put into a double bed room, and was not given a discount. The toilet had some noise issues, so I called the front desk to ask to be moved, and was told they were full, and couldnt move me but would send maintenance up to look at the problem. The front desk called back shortly and said maintenance was aware of the issue, but had to order parts, so they would move me to another room, even though they supposedly had no other rooms available. The 2nd room we were put in had a faulty shower. The shower would come on, but the bathtub spout would not turn off, and the tub wouldn't drain. I've stayed at the Chattanoogan at least once a month for the last 6 months, but will no longer give them my business. Lisez la suite

We really enjoyed are stay at Chattanogan! Hotel was located close to the downtown attractions. And the staff was very accomidating. I would stay there again, and recommend it friends and family:)

My family and I decided to book hotel arrangements at the last minute for the Chattanoogan. We had to adjust our late arrival time for early a.m. The hotel accomodated us and we were able to get a room fairly easily. The room was very nice. Our in-dining experience was pretty good -- they didn't have our first choice available but accomodated with providing […] extras for our 2nd choice. For my kids, the only downside was the pool; too much chlorine and very small in size (i.e. oversized lap pool). Overall we had a pretty good stay at the hotel. Lisez la suite

My husband and I were guest recently (june 10-june 13) at The Chattanoogan Hotel. The Hotel as a whole was wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. However, we found the bed to be very uncomfortable and the room would get really ho and stuffy at night even though we would adjust the air. We had a great stay at the Chattanoogan. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and modern. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Chattanooga area. We will definitely be back! You must try the breakfast buffet in Broad Street Grill. Well worth the money. With that said, the location of […] the hotel wasn't as convenient as we had hoped. The free electric shuttles make it easy to get around though. I wish that we had a similar system in Birmingham. Also, the music in the hotel bar (The Foundry) was so loud in the lobby that we had to almost shout to hear the people at the front desk. clean hotel. Bar restaurant area's to dark.

We arrived at The Chattanoogan after a long drive in stormy conditions to find that we had been given a room with 1 bed for 4 travelers. Since the hotel was sold out, we were unable to move, which we understood. What we didn't understand was the front desk's lack of concern for our problem. The front desk employee was terse and rude. We were offered […] one rollaway (though the room would have fit two), leaving one of our children to sleep on the floor. Fortunately that employee seemed to be the exception. We had wonderful service in The Foundry that evening and the morning front desk employee quickly and pleasantly resolved our problem. Lisez la suite

This was a very satisfactory hotel, but I would not rank it as a 4 star. It would be very good for business travel, but not all that warm and friendly for a family vacation. very little in the immediate area for restaraunts, but convenient to the free shuttle to downtown as long as the weather is good. we had bad weather, so we were stuck eating in […] the hotel. It was ok, but we were hoping to get out for Sticky Fingers Ribs. Pool is very good for small childern (3'-3'6" deep). Staff was very helpful. Lisez la suite

We had a wonderful long weekend with our 5 & 7 year old. Everyone was friendly, access was great. Only minor drawback was too much clorine in the pool.
