"Decent hotel"
We were a family of two adults and two children (4 months and 2 years) and stayed in a suite / family room. Nice location close to the beach promenade. Depressing-looking outside of hotel, but nice inside. Being Swedish I found the floor in the room (fake woodflooring probably from IKEA) a bit of a let down. The rooms felt a bit plastic as well. The […] food at the hotel was quite good. My two-year old son found the astro turf in the hotel garden perfect to run around on. I found it a bit too plastic. The hotel pool was perfect on the roof. Relative to what we paid for the room I was expecting more. Paying same rate in Cannes and Antibes will get you a whole lot more bang for your buck. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Luxurious Hotel Near the Sea"
We had a great time at Hotel Elysee (AC Marriott). It's one block away from the beach and seaside restaurants and the quality of the hotel surprised us. Although it was the weather wasn't nice enough to use the rooftop pool, it was a nice amenity to have. The rooms are clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. Although a bit of a walk (several blocks) […] to the main drag where the restaurants and shopping are, the distance it wasn't bad. We also had our dog with and had no issues which was great. I would definitely stay here again. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Clean, quiet and comfortable"
This hotel is great, we have no concerns to raise at all! When we arrived we were upgraded to a higher floor, the staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly and gave reccomendations for places to eat and visit on our stay.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"Room to small"
Very close to the beach. Hotel staff was friendly. Hotel did not feel like a 4-star, more like a 3-star maybe. Room was too small. Pillow cases felt like made of polyester. Bath room was small and without a vent, so it could be damp and uncomfortable. No bus to the SNCF Nice Ville railway station, so we walked to the railway station. Because we used […] Nice as a base to have many day trips to places like Monaco, Cannes, Avignon, we felt it was a little too far to walk to railway station every day. "Lovely hotel, good location"
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here. We stayed here in October and the hotel was fairly quiet. The rooftop pool is lovely with plenty of space for sunbathing! It's probably less than 15 mins walk to the old town.Avis véridique Hotels.com
The rooms were dirty, bed sheets riped and the elevator did not work.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"Loved the pool!"
Very happy with our stay. The staff were very helpful in arranging transport to the station, there was a delay with taxis and the hotel provided alternative transportation.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"A great disappointment"
I booked this hotel to try and experience an alternative hotel in Nice given that I frequently travel to the South of France. The staff were overall ok but only if you asked for information otherwise they were not forthcoming. There is only 1 lift working at this seven storey hotel with no sign of it getting fixed so just imagine how long one has to […] wait for the lift. There is no free wi-fi internet as advertised as the hotel is apparently updating its systems so they want to charge 4 Euros for a 1/4 hour to use the business centre which is not helpful. The hotel common parts + the rooms felt grubby and not in keeping with 4* standards. The only good thing I have to say is that the swimming pool and the sun lounging roof area is lovely with a true panoramic view of Nice. It is unlikely I will stay here again as I believe there are nicer hotels in Nice on offer for comparative money. By far my worst hotel experience in Nice to date. "Good location hotel fair"
I have mixed feelings. There were positives and negatives. The appearance of the lobby was disappointing. The room didn't have enough light. The internet (in the room went in and out). There could have been more towels; there were the bare minimum, but they gave you more if you asked. One of the two elevators was broken the whole time making elevator […] wait times too long. The beds however were very comfortable and the desk clerk with whom I mostly dealt with was delightful, charming, helpful and the best thing the hotel had to offer. Her name was Jaana (not sure of the spelling) but she was a very sweet young woman, always with a smile, always ready to help, patient and obliging. She turned a lackluster stay into a very positive one! The hotel seems to be trying to achieve a modern look; not working, the carpet in the hall way to the rooms was this geometric pattern that, frankly made me ill. Also the carpet in our 'first' room had a huge stain as soon as you walked in. The rooftop pool was also a highlight though. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Superficially 4star"
The hotel is a half-wittedly renovated one from an older hotel. It has done a superficially job with its front end, but much less improvement toward its interior and room improvements. For example, one elevator out of the two was never fixed during our stay, all cups in our room were plastic ( probably 6 motel could even out do it) The lightings are […] not sufficient. The wash basin sink has been leaking for days without notice. The service has been reasonably effective but lack of warmth. Perhaps this is a hotel good for a one-night stand businessman but not recommend for tourists. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
"Clean, big rooms"
We had a junior suite on 6th floor for me, my wife and 2 kids. Perfect room size, even with a walk-in closet. Roof-top swimming pool is on 7th floor, overlooking part of the beach line. Very nice. The only issue is walking to city center/Tourism attractions/Vieux Nice takes about 10 minutes, but it's an easy leisure walk on the Promenade des Anglais […] if you are not in a hurry. "Hôtel Elysée Palace - 4 Star Luxury!"
We had a short weekend break in Nice and Hôtel Elysée Palace was the perfect place to stay. The location is a little misleading because it's not actually on the Promenade des Anglais, but is actually on Rue Honoré Sauvan. That said, you can't miss it from the Promenade as it's pretty big and really stands out. Bus 98 from the airport will stop on Promenade […] des Anglais, almost right across the road from the hotel. It's about 20 minutes away from the airport, and the buses run very frequently, so you really don't need to rely on a taxi. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were really impressed by the decor, cleanliness and most importantly; the attentiveness and politeness of the staff. We got there very early and the hotel allowed us to keep our bags there so we could go exploring before our room was ready. Our room was very clean and tidy. As the hotel isn't right in the city centre or on the Promenade, there's no excessive noise and we had a very peaceful stay at the hotel. The complimentary WiFi is useful, but we didn't have the best signal (we were on the 5th floor). The hotel also provided us with 5 complimentary soft drinks in our room which was a pleasant gesture upon arrival. We didn't spend much time around the hotel, so we didn't get to see the bar or the gardens, but passing by, they looked quite nice. The hotel pool (on the rooftop) was closed during our stay, so we missed this too. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic. Firstly, it's right across the road from the stunning beach. We spent a day in Monaco and a day in Cannes, and the train station (Gare de Nice Ville) is about a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. We went at an off peak time and the immediate vicinity around the hotel was fairly quiet, but the city centre itself is only about 15 minutes away and that was a lot more lively. That said, there are a lot of restaurants along the Promenade if you fancy a quiet evening. As the hotel is so well located, you really don't need to rely on bu Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com

The hotel is at a very nice location, and so is the view from the room. The service is perfect. The only issue is with the ventilation in the room. You have to keep the A/C switched on at all the times, else you might feel short of breath. The swimming pool was open but i guess owing to the low occupancy of the hotel in Nov, the water had not been […] warmed. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia

"2 strikes and you're out!!"
So a prior stay in August at this hotel was inhibited by the fact they promote their restaurant and being the food critic that I am...I had to try it...To my utter dismay they pushed back the opening to allow their pool restaurant to remain open a few more weeks to capitalize on the wonderful weather...Fair enough! So I ate their anyway and I walked […] on to the hotel roof where I encountered what can be best described as a cheap wedding reception type setting...The food to say the least was right on par with this synopsis. The front desk staff are unhelpful, Snotty, and one in particular (Yulia) Her particular ability to over charge your credit card after you asked her not to is impeccable. So I figured...I really should try this restaurant and the rooms are quite lovely save the un opening windows which makes the rooms feel a bit claustrophobic. To my utter disappointment and disgust I had to first encounter the ever so rude (Yulia) Again! And of course she never disappoints.....Same un smiling rude character...feels like being grilled by the gastapo rather than checking in....So I reluctantly grabbed my room key and wandered up to my "sea view" room which by the way folks.....are anything but sea view...you either get a slight sliver of a sea view, or an upgraded corner of your eye sea view...not worth the extra upgrade. And now for the grand finale...The restaurant...which is a glass box with absolutely no character, lacking wine list, and seating is plastic and cheap..3* Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Expedia
"Great location"
We spent 5 nights at the Hotel Elysee Palace and were very happy with the hotel. It was a little bit further away from the restaurants, shops and cafes however we didn't mind the 5 min walk back to the hotel after eating too much of an evening. The beach is right across the road and the views from the roof top pool were amazing.Avis véridique Expedia
"Ideal hotel for a short family break"
We chose this hotel based on Expedia and Trip Advisor ratings, for a short family break to Nice. Easy to get to from the airport by taxi or bus (15-20 mins) and a 15-20 min walk from the old town. It is virtually on the Promenade des Anglais and has a great rooftop pool with fantastic views over the city to the sea and the hills. The hotel has junior […] suites available, ideal for 2 adults and 2 children (ours are 12 and 8) as the rooms are a generous size, including a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom, whilst in good decorative order, was on the small side and the shower head wasn't working properly but this was a minor complaint. The hotel has a good restaurant serving decent food including a children's menu, so the cost for four was similar to eating out at the nearby restaurants (of which I would recommend Jardins du Capitole and Le Cocodile). Breakfast was an all-you can eat, with children free so, again price-matched most alternatives and better value. The staff were friendly and we would highly recommend both Nice for a break and this hotel specifically. Definitely worth a trip to Monaco too (only 1 euro by bus and 3,50 by train). "The Hôtel Elysée Palace in Nice, France - Average"
The hotel was average to slightly above average. If you're looking for a place that is just off the Promenade des Anglais and is a reasonable walking distance to shopping and attractions, then this hotel will do the trick. However, the hotel itself was nothing special and was not a highlight. It is suitable for someone that is basicly looking for a […] reasonble place to stay and is not focused on a quality hotel experience. My list of ctitics is as follows: (1) The hotel is no longer a Sheraton hotel and it shows as maintenance in certain areas (such as the light fixtures in our room) were neglected (2) the shower head was on a retractible arm that would not stay in place when we had a shower (3) The prices of food and drinks at the pool were relatively high considering the hotel is far from top notch On the up side: (1) The price of our stay was ok considering the hotels in the area (2) The area around the hotel was reasonably secure (3) The was good access to the bus that took us to the main train station (4) The staff were helpful in providing us with instructions for our travels/visits (5) It was just off the Promenade, which made the area a little quiter - big plus since the Promenade can be quite noisy (6) It was easy to walk to the main restaurants and shopping areas in Nice from our hotel If we were to do it again however, we would stay in a hotel that was in Vieux (old) Nice. The name of the area (old Nice) is deceiving. We thought there wouldn't be any nice hotels in this areas, but that's far from the truth. It is close-by, quiet and even closer to the best restaurants, shopping areas and best people watching spots. Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
