A recommander
Hôtel qui ne mérite pas du tout ses 4 étoiles, 2 étoiles mais pas plus !!! seul bon point l'emplacement et la piscine sur le toit.

This is a fabulous hotel, well situated with easy access both to the beach and to a commercial street offering many dining options. The room is spacious, well decorated and the bed is extremely comfortable. The complimentary high Speed internet by Wifi is much appreciated as well.

"Great trip"
Excellent hotel, good room (Junior Suite) with great view of the sea, friendly and helpfull staff, can really reccomend, it is on the promenade, but about 5-10 mins walk from the 'centre' !
"Nice hotel, but not location"
This hotel is nice, friendly staff, great rooftop pool, but it is a walk to everything except the beach. All the areas and places you want to see, eat, look at are about .5-.75 miles down the road. Doesn't seem like much, but for the price we wanted to be closer to the action. Easy to get to and from the airport as it is one street off the main roa […] d. Lisez la suite

"OVERRATED"
This hotel is overrated. Great location. But it is not 4-star. It would probably not even be a 3-star hotel in the US. Very poor quality rooms. Old bathroom fixtures. Tiny rooms. Don't stay here.
"Hôtel Elysée Palace"
The hotel is clean, the staff is good, overall the hotel is nice, the only thing that needs some work is the room's decoration, the Hotel should change the white plastic table and desk .

"4 stars !!"
It is 4 star hotel not 5 star, wrong info in hotels.com. For the money they ask it is 100% not worth to stay there. We traveled two weeks in france and italy and found many better hotels for the same or cheaper price.
"The Hôtel Elysée Palace in Nice, France - Average"
The hotel was average to slightly above average. If you're looking for a place that is just off the Promenade des Anglais and is a reasonable walking distance to shopping and attractions, then this hotel will do the trick. However, the hotel itself was nothing special and was not a highlight. It is suitable for someone that is basicly looking for a […] reasonble place to stay and is not focused on a quality hotel experience. My list of ctitics is as follows: (1) The hotel is no longer a Sheraton hotel and it shows as maintenance in certain areas (such as the light fixtures in our room) were neglected (2) the shower head was on a retractible arm that would not stay in place when we had a shower (3) The prices of food and drinks at the pool were relatively high considering the hotel is far from top notch On the up side: (1) The price of our stay was ok considering the hotels in the area (2) The area around the hotel was reasonably secure (3) The was good access to the bus that took us to the main train station (4) The staff were helpful in providing us with instructions for our travels/visits (5) It was just off the Promenade, which made the area a little quiter - big plus since the Promenade can be quite noisy (6) It was easy to walk to the main restaurants and shopping areas in Nice from our hotel If we were to do it again however, we would stay in a hotel that was in Vieux (old) Nice. The name of the area (old Nice) is deceiving. We thought there wouldn't be any nice hotels in this areas, but that's far from the truth. It is close-by, quiet and even closer to the best restaurants, shopping areas and best people watching spots. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Elysee - great location, food, pool and hote"
This hotel was even better than the photos. It is a short bus ride from the airport (bus 98) and it is right across the road from the nice part of the beach. We arrived at 7am and the staff were very nice and we got to lay by the pool till our room was ready. The roof top pool is great with amazing views and a nice restaurant and bar. The room is very […] modern with a nice big bed and bathroom. Also they give you free minibar drinks every 3 days. The hotel was a 2 min walk from a cheap supermarket and 10 mins walk from good restaurants. then either a 5 min bus or 20 min stroll to the old town and nice centre. Great hotel and would definitely stay there again!! Thanks. Lisez la suite
"Good value, convenient location, friendly service"
Hotel personnel was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and everything worked, the location is good (about 5 min on foot West of Negresco). I would stay there again. One complaint: the WiFi network in the room has a very weak signal, was very slow, and did not seem to allow to connect more than 2 devices.
"Stay away from this 2 star hotel, not 4 Stars!!"
This hotel is definitely a 2 star hotel, is located in the middle of an avenue reaching Cannes from the highway an the traffic and noise is horrible! There is nothing meaninful in its surroundings-just a middle class neigborhood and is at least 25 min walking distance to the beach-you need a rented car to stay here. The hotel lot itself is smaller than […] the average american family house lot, the rooms and elevators are supr tiny!! it looks and it feels luke a motel and not a 4 star hotel. This hotel is fine if you can are im a tight budget and the rate is low, otherwise stay downtown by the beach. Lisez la suite
"Great accommodation and excellent hotel"
We had booked a classic room but they didn't have any so they upgraded us to a deluxe room with a view of the sea without any extra charge. The front disk staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, It was very nice welcoming from the hotel to be offerring upon arrivel a 5 drinks from the mini bar free as well as to find a small box of chocolate […] on the bed. This little things makes you feel good when you just arrived tired and in need of water or any cold drink. Very cleaned room with lovely decore The bed and the pilows were very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and bright and it was nice to have a bidet in the bathroom. The only thing I didn't like was the hair dryer. We really enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely recommend Elysee Palace to all our friends and family. Lisez la suite

"Good location - just off the Promenade des Anglais"
Hotel is clean and comfortable. We had a nice bright room on the seventh floor with a hint of a sea view. Staff were friendly and efficient. Recommended.
"Great spot for exploring Nice"
Perfect location. One could take a city bus from the airport or the train station to the hotel (skip the taxi) and reach every other site easily by foot. Just down the street from the famous Negresco hotel. Rooms are tiny but very comfortable. Free wi-fi was spotty at best but business center was accessible. We loved being just off the Promenade.
too expensive, parking spaces are very small-so for american customers you have to be very good at maneuvering a car in a small space

"Friendly, comfortable and fantastic staff"
We arrived at reception and were welcomed by a friendly, professional and very helpful member of staff who arranged for our car to be valet parked plus found us an excellent room to check-in to, even though we arrived 3 hours earlier than the standard check-in time. The hotel is not actually positioned on the front road and we were concerned about […] the quality of the sea-view bedroom we had paid additional money for. We had no need to be, the bedroom we were allocated on the 5th floor had a full sea view which was unobsecured by any buildings. We were a bit disappointed that the pool terrace was closed for maintenance on day we arrived, but we went shopping instead! The terrace was open the following day which we made full use of - what a fantastic view it offers. Breakfast in the Hotel was expensive, but we walked onto the main road and had breakfast in a restaurant with a sea view. A great hotel which I would recommend to everyone. Lisez la suite
"close to the beach"
all staff were welcome and they spoke english well. From check in, I felt very comfortable. The hotel was clean and well kept (except for the hallways, but how long are you really there), and it was in a great location to the beach. However, it was a bit of a walk into town. if you want to be in the action, not a great location, but if you don't mind […] a nice walk at the end of the night this hotel is def recommended. "Not very friendly desk"
Very uncomfortable noisy sofa bed, but even though from an American chain, staff did not really care if we had a bad sleep, 'Sorry", is all they had to say about it. Overall clean hotel and if looking for hookers, well they stand right half a block away.
"A US Citizens experience"
I specifically chose this hotel due to my familiarity with Sheraton quality back in the U.S. I suspected the rooms would be smaller as almost anywhere you go in Europe. The Front desk was the most helpful and respectful aspect of the hotel, The quality of service delivered by the bar or restaurant staff was unacceptable. When we attempted to sit to […] have our drinks we were told where we could sit and couldn't sit. After we were told we could not sit at certain tables, we watched others sit there afterward. When we went for dinner on the roof top and selected a table, the first one we selected were were told was reserved, then the second the same. After getting through our dinner 3 hours later we noticed only one of the two tables had someone seated at the table. This was a very unpleasant experience and left us feeling the bar and restaurant staff to be very unattentative, discrespectful and lack attention to customers. There was only one individual guest who I can only assume was someone of some importance that received all their time and attention. I found myself having to stand and wait at the bar for a refil of a refreshment while the staff talked amongst themselves in the back. Even when provided decent tips above and beyond that did not seem to influence them at all. I honestly was as pleasant as could be with my partner and decided not to take up our complaint until our trip was over as our adventures outside the hotel would not be spoiled by this experience. I understand they move at a different pace but lack of any pace is unacceptable and I found myself pleading for the lowest level of service to bring a menu or water. When requesting a Mojito after seeing them served on the roof top bar, I was told they didn't have the ingredients. Then I requested a Heineken which I also saw on the menu and served on the roof top, they were out so I settled for a Corona. Later as I passed the downstairs bar I thought to ask if they could make a mojito the bartender said y Lisez la suite

Great hotel and great service, room was ready for us when we checked in at 1pm we stayed in junior suite which was ideal for 2 adults + 2 kids. Breakfast was too expensive at 21 euros each so we had breakfast elsewhere. lunch at pool - very expensive: 5.5Euros for 1 small coffee? slight complaint in that room wasnt cleaned until 4pm each day. But that […] aside it is a good hotel. Lisez la suite
"Lacking services and afordable breakfast"
There were not much in hotel services, like small breakfast and service available at the bar. 21 euros for breakfast is outragious, there was not a small breakfast available. The bar was not used by guests at all and the bar at the pool was used a little bit. The restaurant was a joke, but that is ok, because it was more fun to go to old town with great […] restaurants. The front desk staff were very helpful to us. Lisez la suite
"Good location"
Near shops, beach and all amenities....within walking distance of most places... also near public transport which was very good and reasonably priced. Roof top pool an excellent amenity...no need to go to beach, especially if you dislike rocky beach! At times service could have been a little better, e.g. it was very late some days when room was cleaned […] and one day we arrived back at 7.30 pm to find that room had not been cleaned. Evening meal for €49 for 2 courses for 2 was good value but other prices in hotel were expensive e.g. breakfast at €21 per person, drinks and other meals. It was very noticeable that people eat and drank elsewhere as the bar and garden restaurant were empty most of the time. Staff were very friendly and did assist and help with particular requests. This was our second time to stay in this hotel in Nice. Although we had a superior room this time , it wasn't any better than the previous year. Free soft drinks and tea making facility were provided but we had to request these on two separate days. Lisez la suite
"Nice Holiday in Nice 2009"
Very swish exterior. not particularly in keeping with the rest of the property close by. Room was very comfortable clean and air conditioned. Our room was at the rear of the hotel which was fine but there was a charge of an extra 60 quid for a room at the front which isnt really on the sea front but near as damn it. didnt go for that. Tea and coffee […] in the room was shameful. Pathetic little plastic cups and minimal Tea bags and coffee very disappointing. didnt have breki as it wasnt included and at 21 euros very pricey. Loved the roof terrace and pool perfect spot away from the busy beach. No problem getting a lounger, pool clean and cooling, bar and restaurant pricey but you paid for the location. Had ameal one evening on the terrace, lovely romantic location , limited menu but good food and service. !0 -15 min walk to the old town and other amenities. Loads of beach water sports for the crazy. Pebbley beach. Good place to stay but pricey. Lisez la suite

Hotel not on promanade, but one building off. Very good location for airport, and beach. parking in underground car park
"Lovely Hotel"
Excellent Hotel - rooms like new and very comfortable. Breakfast and Dinner expensive but that seems to be the norm for hotels in Nice - Dinner was very nice though.
"Great location!"
It is less than a minute walk to the bus stop which is only $4 ride to the airport. It took exactly 1 hour from the time I left the hotel to being checked in and through the security line. You must go to the chocolate shop that is a few blocks from the hotel (sorry, forgot the name). Very cool lounge area. Fun and classy atmosphere.
