"Cramped Rooms"
The rooms are small and cramped. As soon as you open your door you are in the bath area. On the web site and posted before you go into the hotel it states refrigerators in every room. This is not true. I reserved a smoking room under the understanding that there would be a refrigerator in the room because my wife needs a one for her insulin, but the […] room assigned did not have a refrigerator. When I went down to try to change rooms I was told that was the only smoking room available. I would have to go to a non-smoking room to get a refrigerator. Lisez la suite

Very nice. Very comforting. Nice place to be when you're traveling away from home.
"My Stay in a box!"
The staff here was beyond friendly, but the rooms were extremely small! We normally stay at the Hampton Inn up the street and figured we would save a few dollars and try something new. You get what you pay for I suppose. As you eneter the room the sink was to my left and a door leading to the world's smallest bathroom was on the right. The bathroom […] was kind of a triangle shape with a toliet and tub. As for the rest of the room they squished a recliner, desk and chair, king bed, two end tables and a wooden luggage rack into the very small space thus making us feel very cramped! In you don't mind spending the night in a box, you will be fine! Good for overnight but anything longer might require therapy there after! Lisez la suite
The hotel smelled like stale cigarettes and the breakfast was nothing to rave about unless you like weak cold coffee.

By far the best place to stay in the area. The general manager did everything he could to make our stay pleasant. The area is economically depressed due to outsourcing of jobs and closing of plants, but the Jameson Inn staff did their best to make our stay an enjoyable and confortable one.

Unfortunately, the recent storm knocked out the elevator leaving everyone to use the stairs. The breakfast buffet seems to have been revised downward from our last stay - very minimal was offered this time compared to previously. Lots of starch no fruit or yogurt. Thanks,

"Great Room & Friendly Staff"
This is the second time that I have stayed at The Jameson Inn in Martinsville, VA. Have been very pleased both times. Very clean hotel. The front desk staff is very pleasant. On this particular stay, I accidentally left a garment bag with clothing in it hanging in the closet of my room. I realized this after I arrived home which was a five hour trip. […] I contacted the hotel and they were kind enough to send me my bag and charge the shipping to my credit card. I had my bag witihin a few days. They were so kind and understanding of this situation and took care of it with ease. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay and friendly people to go along with it :) Lisez la suite

i had a great stay except being assigned a smoking room in a smoking section when i asked for a non-smoking room with the reservation, you could cut the smoke with a pair of sissors
"Fairy Stone State Park"
We were traveling on the 4th of July for an overnight stay close to Fairy Stone State Park. The Jameson was about 20 min from the park and is recommended for clean comfort. The surrounding town is a decaying industrial town that rolled up the sidewalks for the 4th of July. We were fortunate to find one Mexican restaurant (LaRancherita) in Collinsville […] that was open for business. There were few places to eat in the area that were not fast food or chains. The breakfast was all carbs, but we had our own fruit in the car. Overall recommended! Lisez la suite

Room was clean, front desk clerk very friendly. Did not like the split bathroom, mattress was a little firm. Overall, a nice stay at a clean hotel that was close to shopping and restaurants.

Close to stores and attractions. What I didn't like was, there are no trees that surround parking area, or the hotel itself, making it hotter than what it really was. No shade around the pool, felt like warm bath water. Had two key cards for room and had trouble with both of them everytime i went to the room.

Could use some improvement...had to go to desk 3 times to have key cards reactivated. Was rather irritating considering that our room was on the second floor. This also kept us from getting in the hotel late one night so attendant had to come open the door. The ice machine on the second floor did not work so had to go downstairs to get ice.
