Hotel vieillot mais relativement propre. Personnel agréable à la disposition des clients. Emplacement idéal à promité des différentes lignes de métro , de la Vème avenue, de Times SQuare. Pensez à réclamer des serviettes de bain qui sont distribuées au nombre de brosse à dents présenté dans la salle de bain.

Hôtel agréable très bien placé pour visiter à pied. Le métro n'est pas très loin. La chambre est très propre et confortable. Idéal pour découvrir Manhattan.
Situation
Queensboro Hotel se trouve à Long Island City (Long Island City - Queens), près de l'aéroport et non loin des sites suivants : P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Chrysler Building et Grand Central Terminal.
Caractéristiques de l'établissement
Cet établissement offre un petit déjeuner gratuit tous les matins. Outre un personnel multilingue et un service d'assistance pour les visites touristiques/achats de billets, l'établissement Queensboro Hotel inclut le café dans le hall. Dans l'ensemble assez satisfaite de mon séjour dans cette hotel, le petit dej inclus et gratuit durant le séjour est correct. Et sutout le personnel de l'hotel est très sympa.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix ( nous avions bénéficié d'une réduction de 30 % pour un séjour de 8 nuits). Accès au centre de Manhattan assez aisé moyennant 12 minutes de marche ( quartier très tranquille et plutôt résidentiel) et 20 minutes de métro ( pur arriver à Times Square). Très peu de places dans la navette gratuite (mais pourboire à prévoir) […] : il y a 3 trajet proposés par jour : 9h00, 10h30, 13h00)/ trajet beaucoup plus long que par le métro / pas de retour en navette proposé. La chambre Queen Size que nous occupions était confortable et bien équipée ( frigo, micro-ondes) , mais située au rez de chaussée inférieur, donc limitée pour la vue... Douche peu pratique, un seul fauteuil dans la chambre. Lit très confortable et très large ! Petit déjeuner très complet, choix très diversifié ( salé comme sucré : fruits, yaourts, omelettes, saucisses, céréales diverses,les gaufres sont excellentes! ). Cependant, salle très petite et pas toujours possibilité de trouver une place assise pour déjeuner... Le dernier jour, l'hôtel a accepté sans problèmes de nous garder nos bagages et de nous appeler un taxi pour nous rendre le soir à JFK (40 dollars en taxi privé ( chauffeur très sympa), à l'aller, c'était 45 dollars en taxi jaune...). très bon hotel avec un excellent rapport qualité/prix! deux petits moins : il faut marcher 10 petites minutes pour arriver au métro, pas gênant le matin, ça réveille, mais le soir après avoir fait 8 à 10 km à pied patrce que le meilleur moyen de découvrir NY est en marchant, ça calme...pour le petit déjeuner, la salle et les "présentoirs" sont trop […] petits vu le nombre de clients, il faut attendre parfois longtemps pour avoir ce qu'on veut et manger dans sa chambrer pour être assis! cela dit le petit djeuner est complet et copieux puisqu'à volonté. hotel à recommander +++, nous y retournerons sans faute car nous ne trouverons pas un tel rapport qualité/prix sur times square... l'hôtel est relativement bien situé, 10 minutes de marches pour acceder au métro et 20 minutes de métro pour Times Square. Très propre, chambres un peu petites mais lit très confortable. Le personnel est sympa. La salle petit dej mériterait d'être plus grande car il n'y a que quelques tables et le matin s'est un peu la cohue. Par contre on peut se faire […] ses propres gaufres avec un gaufrier et la pate toute prète ce qui est assez sympa! On a aussi acces au distributeur de boissons froides et chaudes 24/24 ce qui est un réel plus. Dans l'ensemble vraiment satisfait à tous niveaux surtout que le prix défie toute concurrence! Cet hôtel est situé dans un quartier calme et à environ 10 minutes à pied du métro. L'hôtel propose régulièrement des navettes en direction de Manhattan donc ceci est très pratique. Petit déjeuné varié et complet cependant il y a peu de place pour s'asseoir. Je recommande vraiment cet hôtel, j'y ai séjourné 8 nuits et je n'ai pas été déçu.

La propriétaire refuse de commander un taxi jaune officiel ; elle fait appel à des taxis privés qui pratiquent des prix exorbitants (plus du double de la course avec un taxi jaune !!). Le personnel de l'hotel est accueillant et les chambres sont propres et confortable. Il est situé à 10 min du métro (ligne 7) et à 20 min de Manathan. Les prix sont légerement plus cher que la moyenne des hotels en france, mais sont très correctes pour New york. J'ai passé un agréable séjours dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est très accueillant et très accommodant. Les lieux sont très propres, pas de bruit...on dort bien et le déjeuner est comprit. This hotel was pretty much what I expected for the price. If you are on a tight budget and want to stay within easy reach of Manhattan without the high Manhattan prices this is fine. We stayed at the hotel for a week and that was way too long. You got tired of the lousy breakfast ;everything was empty att all times, the toaster only took two slices at the time and the woman who worked there was the most unfriendly person I've ever met. We got a room on first floor next to the reception/breakfast area and we woke up early every morning […] because of the not soundproof walls. The freakning beeping from the waffelmachine almost killed me. The transfer to Manhattan only took 6 people. The distance to the subwaystation was a 15 minute walk which felt too far when you stay for that long. Worth going to, great breakfast put on. Food offered is a choice of cereal, oats, bagels, bread, English muffins, sweet muffins, fruit (usually just apples), eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, caffeinated and decaf coffee, hot chocolate, three juices (apple, fruit, cranberry when we were there). Go there early though as there is limited space and if you […] go there late you often are waiting in lines and there may be no tables to sit at which can be frustrating. Rooms clean and spacious, staff courteous. The location is about 4 blocks from the 40th and Lowry stop, which is not far. You get views of Manhattan along the way. There are plenty of small shops and pharmacy's along and near Queen's Boulevard. Go east if you want variety though as west there is not many shops. Even walking along the back streets there are many places to eat. The community has a nice feel to it, and it is only 15 minutes train ride to Times Square. Well worth the saving instead of spending big by staying in Manhattan and you get to mingle with the locals and feel like a New Yorker in the mean time which is something my children and I absolutely love. Also, there is a laundromat a block from the hotel with heaps of machines, so you can use those at a good price while meeting the locals also. McDonalds is at the end of 37th Street, a Gas station at the end of 38th Street, both on Queen's Boulevard. If you want to take the trip into Manhattan by foot, there is a path over the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, that will take you to Central Park (North from memory). That is a about an hour's walk. The subway number 7 line is linked up with most, if not all, of the other lines running north/south Manhattan. So overall a great hotel with a community feel and ease of access to Manhattan that is a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Lisez la suite

"Spacious room and pleasant staff"
I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the room was. It was very clean, and there was more than enough storage space for our clothes and belongings (for a five night stay). There was also a microwave and fridge in the room. Unfortunately we stayed during some building works which we hadn't been warned about in advance so the window to our room was […] mostly covered with boards, but these things happen I guess. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, though did get a little busy and on one occasion we had to take our breakfast to our room as there were no more seats. Free wifi, printing facilities and hot drinks available from the breakfast area at all times was a bonus. the hotel is being renovated at present but this didnt stop us enjoying our stay there. the staff are friendly and informative. The bed is nice and comfy and the rooms are spacious and clean. breakfast is quiet good and useful as saves on some expense. "VERY Helpful Staff & Clean Hotel"
We traveled to NYC from Las Vegas for our son's wedding. The hotel was convienently located and the hotel provided a car service to get us from LIC to Manhattan for the wedding. The staff was extremely helpful with the 11 people we had in our party including 2 adults with special needs. The rooms are small, but very clean, and for the money were a GREAT […] deal! The provided breakfast was very good, but the woman running the breakfast service needs to learn patience and better people skills....she was a little rude! I've stayed for one week and the hotel has a pretty look, it's a simple, cozy and good for a week, maybe for a month. They give a pretty small room, but, after a couple of days, i'd rather to stay there than change for another. The breakfast is regular, nothing really special but has eggs, bacon and yorgut. a very good hotel for the dollar with a breakfast. However it is a 20-30 min walk from the Subway and if you are not in good shape it may be too much after a 10-14 day of walking in NYC. The 3 daily shuttles into the city is an added perk (and it's free)

"Look elsewhere"
This is obviously a hotel under renovation... There was a lot of construction and the staff could use an upgrade as well. The beds were VERY uncomfortable. Tube TVs are from the early 90s and are burned out. Rooms smelled of mildew. Towels were hard.
If you are comfortable taking the subway into NCY from Queens, the value is definitely worth it.

The distance to the subway is acceptable but a bit far especially when returning after a long day of walking. Breakfast was very crowded but you can bring the food back to your room. Staff was very sweet and helpful.
