We stayed at 5 Super8's during our recent travel. All were good value for money. This one, however, was in need of a little updating. The staff, though, were very pleasant, professional and helpful in every way.

About what you would expect from a clean Super 8, but the bonus was the service. The GM/owner is committed to running the airport shuttle 24/7. He picked another guest and me up at 12:30 a.m. and then ran me back at 6:45 the nest morning to pick up a car. Folgers coffee is nice, breakfast not much to speak of. It fit my bill for a place to catch a few hours sleep while waiting for the car rental place to open in the morning. I even stayed again on the way back since I had a 6:20 a.m. flight. the room was dirty ... the chairs looked like they had blood stains on them. the towels had clumps of hair folded into them. the beds were very uncomfortable

We chose this hotel because of the closeness to the airport. We got in (with 2 little kids) at midnight and couldn't pick up our car until the next morning. The shuttle, that normally quits at midnight, waited around for 45 minutes until we got our luggage. The next morning the shuttle took us to the car rental place instead of taking us to the airport […] and having us wait for a shuttle from the car rental. Since we arrived late at airport location was great, shuttle was there waiting for us and available the next morning. Staff great, good breakfast. clean and perfect for one night.

It's good!

We needed a smoking-allowed room in the North Dayton/Vandalia OH area. This hotel filled the bill. We were there for a week. We had read previous reviews, and got a room on the back side (i.e. away from the I-75 highway). We had no noise issues there. It is an older hotel, but has been refurbished. The only real negative was an unsightly patch near […] the bathtub drain. The staff was very friedly, helpful, and courteous, especilly the housekeepers. The Internet sevice was good. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator & microwave; but did not expect them, considering the low nightly rate (which was more imprtant to us). Lisez la suite

I arrived at 2 am to sign in and the guy gave me a paper to sign and stated sign it. I started reading it and it was basically a paper releasing them from any responsibility if my car were broken into and who knows what else. He told me no need to read it just sign, rudely. I signed it after I realized what it was because I didnt want to get turned […] away. That pressure tactic and refusing to tell me what it was when I asked let me know I was in a shady hotel and safety was an issue. Lisez la suite

I have stayed at the Super 8 Vandaila Dayton Airport a couple of times. Each time I have found my room clean and the staff friendly and helpful. It is nothing fancy but so what, I'm only there to sleep and shower so I'm not expecting the Ritz. Good restaruants and shoping are within a couple of miles. I would stay here again.

next time I will fork over couple more $$ and stay elsewhere. Pool was cloudy bed skirt was full of cob webs home to a huge spider the size of a silver dollar. The door had cracks on base n could see the lights from outside and the smell of stail smoking room instead of a non smoking room :(

Good location, although right off I-75 and near Airport we could not hear any noise in room. Great for a pass through stop.

We have stayed here before. It is very convenient to the Dayton Airport and the shuttle service is great. We arrived back very late at night and the suttle person came right away and brought us back to our car which we had parked at the hotel. Great service.

The room seemed fine, but my dust allergy noted a tremendous amount of dust in the room and I had a headache the next day. Overall, the motel is a bit rundown.

Let's be honest; the only reason to get a room here is the proximity to the airport. The rooms are clean, but dated and as a result that not comfortable. I got in around 8pm and left for the airport at 4:30am, so I didn't use the pool or have breakfast. Counter staff was friendly and easy to work with. The shuttle arrived on time in the morning (begins […] running at 4am and comes every 30 minutes until the end of the day, though a pickup must be requested). I received a call to my room when the shuttle arrived. It made my trip to the airport for a very early flight easy, but the quality certainly wasn't anything I'd go out of my way to get. The room was comfortable and clean. Traffic noise from highway was evident but not bothersome. Some repairs were recently finished in bathroom. We would definetly stay here again.

If you're cheap and looking to stay in the north Dayton area, this hotel isn't bad. The room was okay but the television did not work. We had to change rooms. It was storming so the Directv went out for about an hour. The tubs need to be replaced. The sheets and beds are not comfortable. The pool is okay and the free wireless is good. It is very close […] to the airport, food, and the interstate. The manager was nice but there are birds nest all over the place and they are chirping non stop. The place needs improvements but it's cheap. If you want lavish, you have to spend the money. I wouldn't stay here again but I'm not mad I did. Lisez la suite

mold in shower, dirty and ants all over sink area. Spend a little more and stay at a better place!

Room was affordable, could use some freshening. Toliet ran intermiitenly all night. Ask for a room in the back away from x-way noise Pet friendly

very accessible to the Dayton Airport with free shuttle departing every 1/2 hour. 5 minute ride to the airport. Room was clean; bed relatively comfortable; a tad noisy until 10:30 pm but quiet through the nite

Older, basic, well maintained classic motel, good rates and value. ......DOWNSIDE ---faces I-75, traffic noise unbearable and affects sleep. Best to request room on the backside of building to minimize noise. If not available, would not recommend this property.

Plus side: The room was inexpensive. However, it was small, felt old, and I didn't like that we were supposed to be in a non-smoking room, but I could still occasionally smell smoke (maybe wafting in from another room down the hall?). The basic room was no-frills but very clean. The queen sized beds were comfortable. A very good deal for the money.

Basic, Perfect for a quick overnight. Clean room, Comfortable bed. 8 minutes from Dayton Airport. Car stays for free while on trip. Wake up call and shuttle service. Very nice employees.

This place had easy access from the highway, and that is one of its big selling points. Other then that, it was clean but modest. Nothing to get excited about, but it was fine for a quick overnight.

rug was old, coffee pot stained, traffic awoke me early. I chose this hotel as it was close to airport and had a shuttle. I called at 11.55 pm and they would not come to get me, said it ended at 12pm and i said it was not yet 12pm. So i paid 15 for a cab that took maybe 4 minutes to get there.Bed was comfy. I got into town a day earlier than my business hotel reservation began, so I figured I would grab something cheap for the night. Remember this is a MOTEL and as a single woman, Motels are not my favorite thing. Check-in was busy but the staff worked to quickly get everyone checked in. The room was small, to be expected, and appeared 'clean'. There was […] no closet, just a bar on the wall and the appliances were nailed to the desks. The bed was HORRIBLE and I woke from an aching back the next morning. There is a McDonalds right next to the motel which made it easy to grab a bite to eat and it is right off the freeway. It was not very clean on the inside or outside. A big turn off was the backing up of the water in the shower!

Just a one night stay. Hotel location was very convenient just off I-75. Lots of fast food places within walking distance. Good value for the price

once a year i visit the area to attend a race and always stay at this hotel and the manager remembers me from the year past which really makes me feel welcome. room is very clean. breakfest is good. what else would ya need?

Was a bit leary about this Super 8, due to 2 star rating. Was surprised to see the rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Being so close to the Dayton Airport, I thought I'd be hearing airplains taking off and landing, but never heard a thing. Very satified with my stay, and will stay at this Super 8 next year.

Beds are terrible, price is good, but you get what you pay for.
