"dinner ideas"
we were in Telluride for the first time during off-season. The local Brown Dog pizza restaurant is very good, as is the local Italian eatery, Rustica. Telluride is very walkable and the path to see Bridal Vein Falls is very well maintained. The front desk team members at Hotel Telluride were very helpful knowing that most of the town was closed for […] off-season. Can't wait to go back for biking in the summer. "Good all around."
The staff was very accomodating. The parking is expensive but it is the same everywhere in Telluride. The location is good. It's only a couple blocks walk to Lift 7 or town. No need for a rental car when in Telluride. You can walk or take a free gondola to almost anywhere.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Nice surprise but some improvement needed"
Parking was a hassle for checking in. I arrived at 7pm and the hotel shuttle was blocking the only available parking. Unfortunately, after I circled the block, another car blocked the area as well. The breakfast was excellent and so was the small workout area.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Noisy heater"
Nice quality, everything was terrific except for the noisy heating unit.! I don't know if all the rooms are equipped with the same unit, but in our room on the 1st floor the fan turned on and off all night and was very noisy. "Great hotel close to the center of town"
The hotel was lovely, comfortable, and easily accessed by foot from the heart of the town of Telluride (most things are though, it's a tiny place). It was the perfect place to have a evening getaway with my boyfriend. We brought wine and cheese into the hotel, and they already had a wine opener, plates, and knives in the room! That was a nice extra […] on top of an already lovely space. The heat lamp in the bathroom was a nice touch, as were the comfy robes. The hot tub was perfect, as was the free coffee and cider in the lobby. The only downside - the restaurant in the hotel wasn't particularly charming, and breakfast was not included in our stay. "dissappointing management"
Although the hotel staff was fine, the management was poor. We asked for a 1 hour late checkout and were refused, even after we told them we had a medical apointment that would prevent us from returning until 11:45am. Small hotel that could certainly peform room turnover and still allow a 12pm checkout. Restaurant is terrrible and service does not exist- […] we could here chef saying he wanted out early. "Top Notch Hotel"
I was just at the hotel for a quick one night stay during a very off season. I was looking for a bit of luxury and found it in the Hotel Telluride. I loved the rustic, yet luxurious, lobby. The room was appointed very well and though I didn't use them, the microwave and the platers/cups/glasses/silverware I'm sure could come in handy. I agree with other […] posts that the duvet was very thick, but it wasn't a problem for me. I was able to park on the street around the corner from the hotel, but I'm sure during a busier time paying the $20 for parking would be well worth it. Telluride doesn't seem to a place where parking is convenient or inexpensive. Think of it this way, a car takes up the space of half a room, so at $20 it's a steal! "Enjoyed this hotel except for the breakfast!"
Stayed for 3 nights and found the room very comfortable, spacious and clean. The bathroom was stocked with Aveda products which I enjoyed. The only odd thing was that somehow my husband and I did not end up with a room with a double bed and we weren't quite sure how this had happened. As well as two large single beds we had two armchairs and a footstool. […] It was lovely to have iced tea, and hot water and tea bags available in the lobby. Reception helpfully booked horse-riding for us and left a note to confirm time etc. The one thing that wasn't good were the breakfasts which were terrible with the exception of the reasonable selection of fresh fruit. How difficult is it to cook fried eggs? The oatmeal was instant and we heard another person complaining about the pancakes. I was astonished to hear one of the staff on reception telling someone who was making a booking how the breakfasts there were just delicious! Clearly they've never tried them. "Disappointing!"
My husband and I decided to splurge and stay here. It is a beautiful property and our room was very nice, although the "mountain view' was nothing to get excited about. The biggest disappointment was how noisy our room was. There was a barking dog across the hall who woke us up twice during the night. The people above us sounded like they were moving […] furniture around early in the morning. The bedding was beautiful but the comforter was so heavy that you couldn't sleep under it comfortably. The hotel was fantastic. Our room was comfortable and had nice amenities. The hotel is on the "far" end of town, but that is just a five or so minute walk from the main strip. Also, the hotel has a readily available, complimentary shuttle with friendly drivers to take you anywhere in town on short notice. We need a place to chill after a crazy few weeks (wedding) and found the Hotel Telluride to be the perfect place. It's a 5 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants, and the room was really comfortable. The staff was really helpful, and it's cool that they just loan you a bike to ride around town without hassle. The streetside rooms were a little […] loud with the window open - kind of close to the main drag - but that was pretty much my only complaint.
