Courtyard by Marriott Edmonton Downtown - Edmonton

We had two sets of parties beside our room that lasted until 6 in the morning. Ruined our stay and two calls to the front desk did not help. We went to get a fun, restful night away from our children and left exhausted and frustrated. The room was nice but we won't be back.

We were in Edmonton for a concert at the Shaw conference centre. This hotel was literally RIGHT beside the venue, which was fantastic. The room was clean, cozy and everything that we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great! The view was gorgeous, the staff were fantastic and helpful, and I would stay here again for sure. The only complaint […] was that there was only room service form 5pm-10pm-ish? so by the time we got back to the hotel there was no room service available and in the morning we were unable to order breakfast. The room did have a fridge though and coffee maker so next time we would plan for that. Lisez la suite

We stayed two nights at the Courtyard to be close to the New Year's Eve activities in downtown Edmonton and enjoyed our stay. Te room and the service was just fine. The only disappointment was the quality of the restaurant. Our breakfasts were included and they could have been much better.

Nice hotel and close to down town attractions. The room was spacious and clean but the only down side is there isn't that much of a view as we were facing the parking lot. Not much selection for nearby food places past 11:00pm unless you cab or order in. Over all nice hotel and was in walking distance to the shaw conference center which I was attending […] during my stay. Parking is expensive but that's to be expected as you are in the downtown area. This is a former office tower converted to a hotel. Rooms are very large and modern with very comfortable beds. I would recommend the secured valet parking versus the unsecured parking in front of the hotel for security reasons. Although nicely located downtown with nice views of the river valley the hotel is surrounded by "undesirables" who are hanging […] around or begging for money. We did not feel comfortable outside the hotel at all. I would not want my daughters walking alone in this part of downtown Edmonton. Lisez la suite

The Courtyard Marriot in Downtown Edmonton is a great place to stay. It is close to all ammenities such as the Shaw center, The government building for passports and there is lots to see and do. the river views are great too, we got to watch the dragon boat festival from the comfort of the dining room while eating breakfast. We stayed here during the Edmonton Folk Music Festival and the location was terrific for that as we could easily walk to the festival. Hotel and service was definitely up to par, had the breakfast buffet and it was good. My only suggestion is that seeing as the hotel has such a great view of the riverbank, it would be nice if the windows were not extremely […] dirty. Lisez la suite

Nice hotel, more like a motel. I doesn't had a fridge in our room. Old tv, slow internet wi-fi. But still ok the receptionist was very kind and the tourist information free was good.

It was located in a good location. The only thing is their parking is very pricey, They do not have a separate parking they do some in front of the hotel what they call valvet parking but not really valvet if you have to park yourself. Not covered parking as well. I also noticed that the cleaning people did not vacuum or clean around any area that was […] not touched by us. They are so very not waiting to put enough towels, I did say it was a family of four not a family of 3. One thing tho room was open. It was quite that weekend since not many staying at hotel. If you are wanting to go to the Big Mall not a great location to stay at. If you are downtown for business.. yes good locaiton. I think they should redo the outside of hotel. Lisez la suite

Very satisfied, however my only complaint is that room-service begins at 4p.m and after a long drive from Calgary early morning, I wanted to relax in my room alone and have lunch.

I should have got the name of the gentleman who checked us in, but I was very impressed with the service, the location, the hotel everything. I didn't expect it and it was a pleasant surprise.

This was my first stay at this property and although the accomodations were OK the restaurant food was not so great. I strongly recommend you take a cab and go eat somewhere else. Breakfast was also so-so.

The Edmonton Marriott did a really great job with our family stay...so great that we actually changed our reservation for the return portion of our trip to stay there again. The room was quite spacious and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel was in the middle of downtown it was incredibly quiet - much appreciated. Valet […] parking is $20 per day - roughly comparable to u-park locations surrounding the hotel. Request a room on the river side if possible - the views of the North Saskatchewan River valley, just below the cliff upon which the hotel sits, are really outstanding, and at night you can see quite a bit of the town from your room.
