Cresthill Suites Albany - Albany

The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. The amenities numerous including a social hour with food and beverage and home baked cookies! Breakfast nothing special if you're use to Hampton Inn it's scaled down from that. I will say the hospitality of the front desk could be improved. They seemed absorbed in something other than the customers.

Cresthill Suites in Albany is my family's go to place to stay when visiting relatives in the area. Clean, roomy, convenient.

Amazing value! For less than the price of a decent hotel downtown you get a large suite with a full kitchen (with glasses, dishes, flatware, and even a dishwasher) sofa, easy chair, coffee table, big-screen TV. Full breakfast downstairs, light dinner in the evening… I was surprised. I was there two nights on business, and the Washington Avenue address […] shoots you right to the Capital District in ten minutes. Only comment is that you need to go around the sprawling SUNY Albany Campus to get to restaurants and shopping, so an in-room area guide would be helpful. Lisez la suite

Stayed at Cresthill Suites when my usual choice in town was sold out. Dominic at the night desk was awesome. Had a knee replacement two months earlier and was still not in the best shape. He helped me with my bags, recommended a great Italian restaurant in the area that delivers, and refused to take a tip. Room was very comfortable. More than I needed […] for a one-night stay. We arrived very tired, and the hotel staff made us feel comfortable and at home. During the entire stay they were friendly and attentive. The rooms (suites) are lovely. We will return.

Hotel is close to SUNY Albany, and to the airport. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, shower great--great flow, lots of hot water. Kitchen had dishwasher, large refrigerator, coffee maker, and utensils. Breakfast buffet included hot food, as well as cereals and pastries, and coffee machine in lobby is available 27/7. Room had wireless Internet,as advertised. […] Only complaint was development of a cat urine type odor, ? From last guest, or from rain or condensation on carpet near AC unit. However, management attended to this as soon as we told them, with carpet cleaning and room deodorizer. I would stay here again, and recommend it as a good value. perfect Hotel on our way from Boston to the Niagara Falls

Great location in Albany. I was there for the NY bar exam, and it was easy to get to and from the test site. They have free breakfast and even a little afternoon wine and snack hour in the afternoon. Also directly across from SUNY Albany, which was great for walks to clear my head.

The Cresthill in Albany was comfortable and the staff friendly. Free parking and breakfast were assets.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Cresthill Suites. Would definately recommend this hotel. We will definately stay there the next time we are in Albany. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The breakfast was great for the price. We were unable to take advantage of the wine and snacks at cocktail time but they sounded very good as well. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. I would highly reccomend it.

We came form Canada for a day surgery close by. My husband is in a wheelchai so it was very important to us that the room is easy to manouver in. The room suited our needs perfectly! Definitely a good value for the price. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We would definitely consider staying over if we come by again. We read the reviews on-line and […] had the same situation as others have commented on - were given a non-smoking room that strongly smelled of smoke. Fortunately, they had another room. Ask for the room on the floor with only non-smoking rooms to save yourself aggravation. Sidenote: no mention of a possibility of recycling - I thought this was odd?... Lisez la suite

The Cresthill Suites is a very nice hotel and located near the Univ of NY campus. Freeway is nearby, but the room was still quiet. Breakfast was adequate, but not as inclusive as are some of the competition. Overall it is a good value and we would stay there again.

The exterior of this hotel was deceiving. There was some kind of sign removed near the elevator that ripped a big hole in the wallpaper. This should have been our first clue of what the rooms were like. The first room we were given: There were several large carpet stains (one looked like dark red nail polish) near both beds and dirt in the corners of […] the bathroom. The carpet did not look vacuumed. The beds sagged. The air conditioning did not work, so the room was warm and stuffy. The front desk staff told my husband to move around in the room for at least 20 minutes before calling back because the a/c was motion activated. After 20 minutes my husband called and the woman at the front desk said she didn't know if there were any rooms available. When she called back, we were moved to the "only other room available." The second room we were given: The room looked vacuumed, but was still dirty. There were crumbs on the furniture. There was dirt and grime in corners of the bathroom. On the plus side, the room was cool and the air conditioning was working (without moving around for 20 minutes). If it wasn't for the fact that we were getting up at 4 am to continue our long drive, we would have gone to another hotel, even though the room was already paid for. After all this, the woman at the front desk didn't even apologize for our inconvenience or for telling my husband to walk around in a muggy hotel room for 20 minutes. We were aware this was a 2.5 star hotel, but I expected it to be clean and the staff to be helpful. Lisez la suite

if you check in around early dinner time, you can get some food...and breakfast has a serious selection of stuff...high quality food? maybe not, but if you are exhausted when you get there...it's great! + the place is so clean and spacious...

Very nice hotel with reasonable rates. Kitchen is a great plus. On a main road near expressway entrances, so convenient to many things.

I was very disappointed with the Saturday, Sunday breakfast. The only hot items were skinny strips of bacon with dried pre-made circles of eggs. If this is weekend breakfast, I'd hate to see Mondays thru Fridays.

everything was nice,they just need to make sure they vacuum in the cracks of the chairs and sofas in the room

Nice stay, large comfortable room with kitchen and living room area. Two double beds and room still felt spacious. Managers reception at night with free wine and beer, complementary breakfast. Would stay again.

Hotel was just OK. Across the road from the SUNY Albany campus, which was our destination. Room - Was not the cleanest hotel - lots of dust under the beds - found a receipt in the kitchen cabinet dated 6 months earlier. Breakfast - Continental Buffet plus... We were traveling and needed an overnight stay for my wife and I and our 2 daughters. The suite was a better size than a standard hotel and the rates were very reasonable. Throw in the continental breakfast and we were on our way!

We stayed one night as we were driving through. Front staff was nice and pleasant. The kids liked using the outdoor pool. It's a little small but great to cool off in the summer. The rooms were spacious and clean. Only issue is that the laundry clothes dryers do not work well. Otherwise, would stay again. Perfectly clean, nice room, no complaints

Booked for 2 nights to collect our son who was graduating from Uni. Perfect location, and standard of hotel accomodation, service and breakfast were excellent. No hesitation recommending this hotel if you require accomodation close to the Uni.
