A recommander.
Hotel a conseillé vivement 4.5/5

"Fortune House - Miami centre ville"

"Know what you're getting"
In the spirit of buyer beware, the Fortune House is best suited for leisure travel, where all you want or need is a bed for the night, in a reasonably convenient location. I found it to be devoid of any service and characteristic of a deferred-maintenance Miami condo project, which it is. When visitors never intent to return, the standards for service, […] house keeping and maintenance seem to be lower. The suite was spartan...make that stripped. My cable box was even removed one day without notice or replacement. Maybe the owners were behind with their accounting. At any rate, this was a one-time visit for me, and not a place I'd recommend if you can possibly find an alternative. Lisez la suite

"Nice hotel for price"
Location around the corner from Metro-mover (free!) was so convenient for travel to a basketball game at the AA Centre. The staff were a little too cool for my liking-used to friendlier staff. And our room was decent - spacious with kitchen. But no decor to speak of.

It was great! After all the negatives I read about the place it was awesome, the only bad thing was a little attitude problem at the front desk.

"post cruise hotel"
Had to fish for info from staff, had to ask a lot of questions for stuff i thought should have been presented to me.Got to hotel before check in and hotel was really stern about keeping that timeline. After a few minutes hotel offer to keep luggage in storage so we could go and do something and come back for check in. Basically if you want something ask […] and they will be willing to work with you. For instance we had a late flight and check out is at 11am. flight didnt leave until 9pm.explained this to staff and see what suggestions they had of what we could do.Got nothing so i asked if we could store luggage again and maybe still use the pool. They agree it was ok, even though you needed the key to use the elevator to get to the pool. Didnt know that until we got back to hotel from our activity and went to go to the pool. Wasnt told about the breakfast that was included with our room. Almost missed the time for breakfast. Happen to see it on my printout of my reservation. Lisez la suite

"Beautiful Brickell"
Upon arrival, my friends and I realized this was an old apartment/condo building renovated for the downtown Miami hotel crowd. We knew going into the hotel that it wasn't going to be the Four Seasons (which is located next door), but if you understand that this building is a little antiquated and take it at face value, you'll really enjoy your stay. […] We reserved the two bedroom/two bathroom suite at a steal of a price. Our suite was the same price as some of the tiny rooms on South Beach. This was the best find of the weekend (we were there for SOBEWFF). We were able to take an affordable cab fair to South Beach for the night or walked among the rich and classy in Brickell. Our views from our balcony were amazing. The room and hotel were clean, comfortable and big! Even the Miami-natives we were with complimented us on finding such a great hotel. If I'm ever in the Miami area, I would stay at Fortune House, again!!! Lisez la suite
"Fortune House - Miami"
Disappointed in the accommodations; shower curtain was a cheap liner; cockroach on the counter; wasn't able to take my coffee from the breakfast area to my room even though it was in a to go cup; unexpectedly needed some feminine products only to find out the front desk did not have any to offer and was charge twice for a bottle water. I would not stay […] there again. Lisez la suite
"Horrible Customer Service"
On arriving, I walked up to the reception desk and had three girls ignore me until I said something to get their attention. I was then met with condescending stares from two of them, when one snappily asked "Do you have a reservation?". The conversation went downhill from there. They instantly assumed that I was going to trash the room, and made me […] sign a form acknowledging the penalties and fines for being loud or abusing the privileges (eg pool, parking, etc). My room wasn't even ready at about 4pm, and I had to wait in the foyer. The same girls promptly forgot about me for about half an hour, until I went and asked them about my room, where they said "It should be done now. Go have a look." I tried to minimise my interaction with them throughout my week-long stay, but had to ask directions one day, which to my surprise, a new girl was actually quite helpful. The internet connected at a whopping 1.5kBs and it made it impossible to even check email. This was supposedly included in the "resort fee", and when I questioned being charged this nightly fee on departure even though I didn't get what I paid for, it was simply shrugged off and not addressed. Then they had the audacity to try to charge me a parking fee and tax for every night, even though I didn't have a car there. When I explained that to them, they got flustered and annoyed, and couldn't get me out of there quick enough. Like all the other reviews say, this isn't a hotel - it's a building full of apartments that the owners rent out when they're not using them, so don't expect anything NEAR hotel-like staff support. For the same price, I could have gotten a smaller suite across the road at the Four Seasons, and not have to put up with the poor customer service from their frontline staff. Wont stay there again. "A Hidden Fortune"
Indeed a "hidden gem" of a location and bay view; the staff and cleanliess made it a wonderful experience. Would not reccommend to many travelers for fear it may lose its "charm". E.A.
"The Fortune House in Miami, Florida"
Our tolits backed up twice. The last time the man fixed it, he took a bath towel wiped the floor and threw the towel in the corner of the bathroom. When we checked out, we were unable to get a luggage cart and had to make more than i trip. Overall the people were nice, but some didnot understand english.

No value for the money. Don't know how this hotel has a rating of 3.5 stars. Furniture in room were very old and used. No shower curtain in bathroom. Overall disappointed.

"Fortune House Miami Florida"
condo are owned by pwners and we moved # 3 times poor conditions old furniture smelly adn just not great value for cost. Location and maintenance of the hotel extrior was fine.
"Fortune House - Horrible Restaurant service"
The Hotel offered free breakfast. However, they failed to mention that to claim the free breakfast you have to physically show your room key or the Receptionist would not sit you in the restaurant. I think that was so rude to turn away guests just because they could not show their room key. When I complained to the Manager, the Manager said "That is […] the rule!". Because apparently there are many scammers who stay in this hotel that don't pay or lied just to get free breakfast. Really? You probably would not want to stay in a hotel with these kind of people staying in it. I traveled a lot and stayed in many hotels all over the world and this is the only hotel that has this rule - worst than 3rd world country or maybe because we were just in Miami, I don't know. And BTW, they only give ONE room key and, at the time, I have the key and just sent my husband and son for breakfast only to come back in the room to get for the key. Lisez la suite
"Amazing"
The apartment we were given was bigger than I had expected, the view from the 25th floor was amazing, easy access to all of brickell. I highly recommend fortune house, definitely staying again
"The Fortune House in Miami"
They gave us a room facing the parking garage which was a bit run down and the bathroom sink drained extremely slowly (which was gross while trying to shave). The free breakfast was a joke. And then, they tried to charge us a resort fee.
"varying comfort levels"
This is a residential condominium. Owners lease out their units on a nightly basis, so there is a huge variety on the quality and comfort according to the taste and upkeep by individual owners. It is a bit of a gamble what you're going to get. NOTE: There is a daily 'facilities' charge directly from the hotel on top of what you prepay through this site […] which needs to be communicated better. Lisez la suite

"Fortune House in Miami, FL"
An unvelievable bargain - beautiful lobby, nice lounge with good food and friendly staff and a superior suite with comfortable furniture, nice linens, and a handsome bathroom. What's not to like?
"Comfortable and convenient luxury in Miami"
My brother and I shared a marvelous suite for two nights after a week of snorkeling in the Florida Keys. We weren't interested in family tourist attractions and didn't even see the central part of Miami's downtown. Instead, we took the free above-the-streets train from the southern-most station near the hotel to the last station in the north to visit […] the Margulies Collection. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and we found fine restaurants and coffee in an upscale mall a few blocks away. Lisez la suite

"Fortune House in Miami Florida - near Port of Miam"
There was no verbal welcome or even eye contact from the VERY YOUNG woman at reception. There were diabetics in our group & she lied about meal menus and ice availability. This was not the way to begin a birthday celebration with family. Inside the room, there was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling fan, and around midnight, we found unwanted guests […] (BUGS!!!) on the floor. We ran out of places to put our luggage so as not to take these things with us when we checked out the following morning. We were made to wait to see an associate manager before we checked out to voice our complaints. She was more interested in interrupting us than remedying our concerns. There will never again be a time to book a FortuneHouseHotel reservation as the service was completely unacceptable Lisez la suite
"Spacious Gem"
I booked this hotel through hotels.com, and was expecting a room a bit larger than the NYC usual. What I got was a living room (and separate kitchen) in additon to a good-sized bedroom. The location near the Financial District Metrorail station plus the key businesses in the Brickell area is good for business. This was a useful way of doing buisness […] in Miami, without having to hire a car. In two words - great value. Lisez la suite
"Beware Fortune House!"
The condition of these rooms is pitiful. The pictures do not represent the rooms you actually get. These are basically apartments that haven't been refurbished since they were built stuffed with really bad, old Ikea furniture. Cleanliness and air quality were poor. The only highlight was the view and the location, but not worth it.
"Very good value"
We were pleasantly surprised with the great experience. Much more than we expected because of the fair price. Would stay again .
"Eh!"
This is an apartment building that is renting out empty units as if they were a hotel. It's Brickell, so the lobby already looks as if it's a hotel so I'm sure it helps. The room was outdated and not too clean. The bed was very uncomfortable. I was in town for one night and my boyfriend and I were trying to have a nice night together. That didn't happen. […] I would be embarrassed to recommend this "hotel". Lisez la suite
"Great Location!"
I was in town for business with 6 other people. The Fortune House fit our needs perfectly. Seven women with four bathrooms can never be bad! We were at the American Airlines Arena during the day and the location was perfect. There were plenty of choices for eating, either in the hotel, or within walking distance. I will definitely stay at Fortune House […] again! Lisez la suite
"Excellent Value"
It was a great stay at the Fortune House. Loved being in walking distance of great restaurants and a grocery store. Would highly recommend others to stay here.
The over all appearance of the hotel was good. The staff were helpful pleasant. The only draw back during our stay were two things: The swiming pool was out of service and the AC in our suite did not cool down the suite to a satisfactory level.
"Fortune House Miami"
Bring your own coffee and a wash cloth as they are difficult to get. We had one day with no wash cloths and we did not get any until the following afternoon. They out source all linen so make sure you get extra at check in. They do not clean the room well and beds are not made well. Bath tub was gray on the bottom from age and trapped dirt. Mold on […] the shower curtain bottom. Kitchen has no soap for dishes. Maids did some of them but not all. We only had a few glasses and a couple bowls and they didn't do them all as was their normal procedure since they do not give you soap so we were told. Which I understand is why you pay an extra $10.00 per day for House Keeping. Complimentary breakfast was cold each day and I was in a hurry because my taxi had arrived and they would not let me take my half eaten slice of toast with me unless I paid extra for it. Location is good near the water, quiet and nice restaurants. Good for business if you are not in your room much not a place to relax or be pampered in as it was the bare essentials. Lisez la suite
"Fortune House - Poor stay in every way"
They only give you one room key. The room's table was dusty. The kitchen had ants. The air conditioning did not work well. The smell of humidity in the room was terrible. The A/C vents were not done well, so the one in the bedroom is way to small for the room. The comforters were bought in Ikea and they forgot to place duvets on them, so you can be […] sure they never get washed. The rate of the hotel is less than half of the others in the area, so I guess that you get what you paid for. Lisez la suite
"Internet Service"
How can a Hotel in 2012 not be able to supply decent Internet to customer. If you advertise free internet, it should work. If you're a business traveler, you can't stay in a Hotel where the wireless reception is only good in the lobby.
"Condo not hotel"
Each room is furnished differently as individually owned. Had a really large suite but cheap furnishing that did not go with the decor.
