"The very comfortable Saint Sulpice"
We drove to Montreal from Ontario, and were surprised at the different nature of the drivers! There also seems to be an excessive amount of roadworks going on in the city at present, so the journey to the hotel itself was very difficult to navigate. The reception staff here are fantastic, very helpful and full of local knowledge. Our party of 6 were […] upgraded to a two-bedroom suite which was very well equipped. Very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, TV in each room, fireplace in the living room etc. The kitchenette was well-stocked of crockery, but we were surprised that we were only given 3 cups of coffee per day for our large party. Similarly, we had difficulties with extra towels and their replacement. The location of the hotel is great, surrounded with plenty of restaurants and museums. Our only problem was trying to find a bakery or supermarket to purchase breakfast items. Old Montreal has plenty to see and do, but we wanted to venture to other parts of the city. There is a long walk from the hotel to the commercial area of the city, or to other attractions such as the planetarium. Lisez la suite
"Hotel St. Sulpice- heart of Old Montreal"
Very nice room and good service. Will have to think hard about staying anywhere else next time in town.

"Great Location"
Enjoyed the stay at this location. Room was very clean, we had a small kitchenette which helped. Was not sure of the very large frosted glass wall in the shower exposed to the main room. which everybody could see in, when taking a shower? (the kids) glad it also had a soaking tub. Staff was very helpful. location was fantastic, everything was close […] by. Even a Costco if one knew were it was. We found a indoor parking just up the street near the metro. If you love old building then the walking around was a treat. Overall staying at this hotel with the loft room was nice. Lisez la suite
"Le Saint Sulpice"
Great motel in the heart of the Old Port. A bit disappointed that the lobby was under construction without any advance notice. The smell was noxious. Internet was down for ~24 hours. ATM machine did not accommodate my bank’s network so obtaining cash was a challenge. Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating. Would go back again.
"Saint Sulpice-Old Montreal in the Winter"
We went to Saint Sulpice in Dec. the area was absolutely beautiful, old Montreal in winter felt a lot like Europe in the winter without the haul across the pond. The hotel was beautiful, from the moment you walk in right up to the room. A nice entrance opens up to the hotel, where a fire burned next to a fully decorated Christmas tree. Soft music added […] to the ambiance as snow fell on the decorated courtyard. As we entered our Superior Suite, tile floors led to the fully tiled bathroom and opened up to a rather large hotel room. A beautiful glass sink and plenty of glass counter tops adorned the bathroom. Plenty of mirrors gave the bathroom and its stand up shower the appearance of more room, even though the bathroom itself was fairly large. The stand up shower had a frosted glass wall, which was a nice touch aesthetically. Down the hall the room opens up to a sleeping area with a flat panel TV, beautiful bedding and a nice down comforter. The room continued to flow where the was a nice kitchenette, complete with tile, microwave, deep sink, fridge, and stove top. Then there was the seating area. A hide away couch with glass and wood coffee tables filled the living space that was situated watching a second flat panel TV and wood burning fire place. A small balcony with a step up was off the seating area. We were lucky enough to have a balcony that faced the courtyard, it was beautiful. There were small things that took away from the hotel being a 4 or even 5 star hotel. They were tiny in our eyes and easily overlooked. The couch had some small fraying on one of the cushions. Next to the fireplace there was a small (quarter size) black spot, I assume smoot from the fireplace. On one of the small tables there was a couple small scratches. Outside of that the room was all and more from what could be expected for the price and star rating. St. Sulpice sits in old Montreal just a couple blocks from the port and the Science Center at the port. There are lots of restaurants, Lisez la suite

"Saint Sulpice in Montreal"
We were attending a convention at a chain hotel and loved the 20 minute walk in the morning to our meetings. The hotel suite was very spacious and the service, from the front desk to the doorman helpful and prompt. We will go back to the Saint Sulpice and enjoy not only the hotel, but the nearby restaurants, shops and the atmosphere of old Montreal […] . Lisez la suite

A lovely up-scale experience. In the heart of old Montreal. Good recommendations from the staff: helpful and responsive. The only downside: overly expensive and limited breakfast / morning food options. We didn't eat in the hotel's restaurant.
"Saint Suplice"
The hotel was excellent and the Old City location could not have been better. The room was lovely well maintained and spacious. The staff were friendly and always helpful. It would have been among the best hotels I have ever stayed at but for one thing; they served me the most atrocious room service meal it has ever been my misfortune to come across. I […] ordered a hamburger and some gazpacho from room service. Started with the gazpacho. It was nothing more than tomato juice thickened with bread crumbs - tasteless and annoying. Then I bit into the hamburger and discovered that it was utterly uncooked; raw, like biting a cow's rear end. Disgusted, I called back room service and told them the meal wasn't up to snuff. They offered to replace it but not refund the cost. Not being very interested in any further offerings from the hotel's kitchens, I hung up disappointed. It was a blight on an otherwise excellent experience. Lisez la suite

Everything about this hotel is so perfect and terrific...we have the best stay in this hotel...from the staff to the housekeeping service....wonderful...definitely will stay again if we visit Montreal...

Great hotel, great rates. Large rooms, comfortable beds. Location great for variety of activities. Concierge very helpful and friendly. Room quiet, even near elevator.
"superb stay in a wonderful town"
We stayed at the perfect hotel in one of the world's great cities. Montreal is just so vibrant and unique. Le Sainte-Sulpice is in the perfect location to experience this great city. "Perfect location, excellent staff"
The ideal location in Old Montreal, a block from the river and convenient to all sights. This is a boutique hotel, with elegant rooms, very quiet (especially given the pedestrian high-traffic area of Old Montreal). One should be aware that the advertised rooms have a variety of features not all of which coincide--ask about specifics. The staff are […] particularly to be recommended--young, energetic, perfectly bilingual, and very helpful. A great choice for a stayin Montreal for business or pleasure. Lisez la suite
"Visit in Montreal"
This hotel was nicely positioned by the Notre Dame Cathedral. It had good access to the Metro about 2-3 blocks away. The restaurants in old Montreal were very pricey and we walked more into Montreal to get some more reasonable prices. The hotel staff were very attentive and very friendly.
"almost perfect!"
We really enjoyed our stay at the St. Suplice. We arrived early (11 am) and our room wasn't ready. They sent us off with a lunch suggestion that was awesome and when we came back it still wasn't ready. At this point, they switched us to another room. I was a little concerned as the neighborhood is busy and the room was on the first floor, but the front […] desk encouraged me to go check it out and if I didn't like it, they would find something else. The room was great, and what little noise filtered in was blocked by a second door to the bedroom. Concierge service was excellent. Bed was super comfy (and I am very picky about this). The location of this hotel really can't be beat. We walked everywhere and it was wonderful. A couple of small things that kept this from being a perfect place to stay: the entry way/lobby has the STRONGEST smelling incense....really, gotta cut that back a bit. On our second day the maid forgot to give us a bath mat. I called for one, but it never came....not the end of the world, but still. Lastly, there was only shampoo and no conditioner in the rooms. Anyway, these were all really small things that only bothered me slightly, by far and away I would highly recommend this hotel. Great staff, great location, great rooms. Oh yeah and we had wifi in our room, which I was kinda concerned about having read past reviews. Lisez la suite

"Quiet and elegant oasis"
My stay at Le Saint Sulpice was excellent. The hotel is perfectly situated in the beautiful and historic Vieux-Port (Old Port) district of Montreal. The staff was extremely polite. They went out of their way to guarantee a great stay. For example, they quickly exchanged my 20 USD for 20 CAD to pay a cash-only taxi fare. The rooms are spacious, modern, […] comfortable, and clean. I wish I had been lucky enough to stay in one with a balcony. I would stay here again and I recommend this hotel to others. Lisez la suite

"A 4 star gem"
We traveled with our 18 and 21 year old children, so we needed 2 rooms. I found the St Suplice's suites to be as economical and MUCH more spacious than going to a hotel. Very upscale, very roomy. One point of note: there is no hotel fitness center, even though various sites say there is. There are 2 affiliated gyms nearby that are pretty weak in equipment. […] The locations is excellent, the hotel staff and particularly the concierges were to notch. An excellent value. Lisez la suite

Our hotel room was recently renovated and the hotel itself was beautifully located in Old Montreal, right next to the Basilica. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would be very happy to stay here again.

"Old Montreal treat!"
Great location! Within walking distance to all of Old Montreal. Breakfast in hotel was expensive. Suites were very nicely decorated.
"About 3 years past it's prime"
We stayed at Le Saint Sulpice because of it's excellent location and the suite style rooms which I prefer. When we got to the hotel after check-in time we had to wait another 20 minutes before our room was ready. When we got into the room there was no Wifi as advertised as part of the services. We had to wait over 24 hours for the tech guy to come […] in and fix the wifi so we could use it. As I was working during the trip this was pretty inconvenient. The room itself was ok. The carpet was worn a bit and there were white flakes (cleaner maybe?) all over the living room area. We had maintenance come and vacuum up the flakes. They came right away. There was also some confusion on my part. I thought they had a gym at the hotel and they don't. They have a relationship with a nearby personal trainer but he was closed. They did arrange for me to workout at a nearby hotel which I appreciated. After we got settled they offered us a bottle of wine for all the issues but honestly I wanted some money off the room. Not having wifi for over a day really but a bump in our schedule and we had to come back from our day to make sure the guy was there to fix it. We ate dinner our first night there in the hotel's patio dining area. The space itself is pretty and enjoyable. The food was passable, I was under the impression that the cook is a recent graduate of culinary school and it showed. The menu was well designed but the execution was just ok. The piece de resistance was when we were picking up our car from 3 days of valet parking and it was returned with a decent dent on the side of it. We were delayed nearly an hour from our departure while we dealt with paperwork. The hotel concierge said he'd review the video of the garage and get back to us within 48 hours. He called 4 days later to say he'd review them shortly and we haven't heard anything since. So a so/so room, so/so restaurant, slow staff, worn carpeting and a dented car. I don't think we'll be staying here again. Lisez la suite
"Will definitely be back - great hotel."
Good service, beautiful hotel; the suite was clean, well appointed and luxurious. My daughter and I were comfortable, given we had a queen bed and a queen fold out. The staff was very helpful and the location in old Montreal was central to everything we wanted.

"Excellent Hotel, location, and service"
Next time we go to Montreal we won't have to wonder where to stay. The Saint Sulpice is top-notch, from the room to the food to the service and the location. What a pleasant place to stay. We highly recommend this hotel.
"Over-priced for what you get"
I would not recommend this hotel. The pictures on the site made it look much less like a standard hotel room and more unique with character with brick walls and other interesting features, which it was not. It was a disappointing standard overpriced hotel room with an awkwardly long and narrow set-up, with a bathroom whose shower had an opaque glass […] wall onto the room -- which means everyone in the room could see you showering, plus the light was emitted into the room when the bathroom was in use, thereby disturbing people in the room if it was in use at night. There was nothing special here, and I would definitely go with a B&B next time, where character is more centre stage. Great location though. Lisez la suite
"Le Saint Sulpice, Montreal, Canada"
Location was great, hotel is beautiful, room was wonderful, service and staff very professional and friendly and the foie gras was amazing.
"Perfection!"
This was without question one of the nicest hotels at which we've stayed. The suite was incredibly comfortable, clean, and beautiful. While the overall suite was quite large, the bedroom was still cozy. The service was wonderful and we look forward to returning soon!

"Best of everythig"
Location, decor, service, breakfast did I mention location? 2 adults + 12 & 13 year old boys comfortably stayed in room 422 1 bedroom suite. Great layout, decor, bathroom + kitchenette amenities. Superfast service when told front desk that coffemaker wasn't working. Turndown service great so boys didn't have to make their own sofa bed. Rained half […] of our trip so being close to science museum, archeological museum (best lunch value in town), and metro to downtown was important. Umbrellas in room and with concierge. With a little research I might have found parking elsewhere for less than the $32/day for valet parking. WiFi fast, free and strong signal. Nicest staff anywhere. Thanks! Lisez la suite

"Outstanding hotel"
For the price of a "normal" hotel room in most major cities, we got a huge suite that faced out on the hotel garden, breakfast and internet access, luxurious bathrobes to wear around, and a staff that could not have been more helpful. Only problem was the smell of kerosene (?) in the back hallways. It's possible that they were testing the heat that […] week in preparation for the cold season, but it was really overpowering. "More Than We Hoped For"
We were a bit apprehensive about staying in an older hotel in Vieux Montréal, but we ended up pleasantly surprised by how modern and comfortable it was. Our suite was extremely clean and maintained. Our room looked out onto the garden restaurant which we also found to be extremely good. Breakfast was included with the room and it was more than adequate. […] Walking distance to most tourist areas in under 5 minutes making it a particularly good choice to be surrounded by good food and attractions. "Montreal is a great city and Le Saint Sulpice is a perfect place to stay"
A beautiful hotel, in a great part of (the old) town. The rooms were extremely comfortable & the service was very good. If I return to Montreal I would be happy to stay there again,
"Very nice hotel and great stay for the money"
The hotel was in the same block as the Basilique of the Notre Dame. The continental breakfast was very fresh every day and in a beautiful restaurant area. We were offered and upgrade as arrival. The suite has large bathroom. It was a great stay for the money.
"Fantastic"
Our stay here was truely wonderful. The suite was enormous with entryway and living/kitchen in addition to the bedroom. The bathroom was really the highlight of this hotel (and possibly the highlight of the whole trip.) Complete with roomy shower and separate large bathtub and the most amazing vanity I've ever seen. The countertop and two sinks are […] all made of one continuous piece of glass. The shampoo, lotion etc..are high quality products and there is a countertop 5x mirror. Also, I spent as musch time as I possibly could in the robe and wished I could bring it home and wear it everyday. The whole place is designed beautifully with curved lines, dark wood and real art. You get a sense that someone took pride in the architecture and aqnd designed the whole hotel to act as one piece of art, right down to the details. it even smells delicious. The continental breakfast was an array of fine jams, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit. As could be expected, the sofa bed was far from comfortable, but I just pulled the whole mattress onto the floor and slept there. Overall, this place was a paradise. Lisez la suite
