I would not recommend this hotel. The pictures on the site made it look much less like a standard hotel room and more unique with character with brick walls and other interesting features, which it was not. It was a disappointing standard overpriced hotel room with an awkwardly long and narrow set-up, with a bathroom whose shower had an opaque glass wall onto the room -- which means everyone in the room could see you showering, plus the light was emitted into the room when the bathroom was in use, thereby disturbing people in the room if it was in use at night. There was nothing special here, and I would definitely go with a B&B next time, where character is more centre stage. Great location though.

Location, decor, service, breakfast did I mention location? 2 adults + 12 & 13 year old boys comfortably stayed in room 422 1 bedroom suite. Great layout, decor, bathroom + kitchenette amenities. Superfast service when told front desk that coffemaker wasn't working. Turndown service great so boys didn't have to make their own sofa bed. Rained half of our trip so being close to science museum, archeological museum (best lunch value in town), and metro to downtown was important. Umbrellas in room and with concierge. With a little research I might have found parking elsewhere for less than the $32/day for valet parking. WiFi fast, free and strong signal. Nicest staff anywhere. Thanks!

For the price of a "normal" hotel room in most major cities, we got a huge suite that faced out on the hotel garden, breakfast and internet access, luxurious bathrobes to wear around, and a staff that could not have been more helpful. Only problem was the smell of kerosene (?) in the back hallways. It's possible that they were testing the heat that week in preparation for the cold season, but it was really overpowering.

We were a bit apprehensive about staying in an older hotel in Vieux Montréal, but we ended up pleasantly surprised by how modern and comfortable it was. Our suite was extremely clean and maintained. Our room looked out onto the garden restaurant which we also found to be extremely good. Breakfast was included with the room and it was more than adequate. Walking distance to most tourist areas in under 5 minutes making it a particularly good choice to be surrounded by good food and attractions. It was on the higher end of our budget, but was a plurge I'm glad we made.

Our stay here was truely wonderful. The suite was enormous with entryway and living/kitchen in addition to the bedroom. The bathroom was really the highlight of this hotel (and possibly the highlight of the whole trip.) Complete with roomy shower and separate large bathtub and the most amazing vanity I've ever seen. The countertop and two sinks are all made of one continuous piece of glass. The shampoo, lotion etc..are high quality products and there is a countertop 5x mirror. Also, I spent as musch time as I possibly could in the robe and wished I could bring it home and wear it everyday. The whole place is designed beautifully with curved lines, dark wood and real art. You get a sense that someone took pride in the architecture and aqnd designed the whole hotel to act as one piece of art, right down to the details. it even smells delicious. The continental breakfast was an array of fine jams, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit. As could be expected, the sofa bed was far from comfortable, but I just pulled the whole mattress onto the floor and slept there. Overall, this place was a paradise.

Commentaire d'un client de Hotels.com le août 6, 2009
This was a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location in old Montreal. The room was large and lovely. The only issue was the odd nickle-and-diming we experienced. I paid for a room for two with breakfast and parking included. At the front desk, the woman would only give me one breakfast voucher because "they do not give vouchers to kids, only adults" and in my case, my second was my 12-year-old son. Now, I understand the policy if kids are included free in rooms, that you only get free breakfast for the two adults included in the hotel room. But I did not have another adult with me. The woman at the desk refused to see the nuttiness of her position and I just let it be. Later I called the front desk and got another woman who immediately understood what I was saying and had the second voucher send right up to my room. A good thing too because the breakfast was wonderful!!! My son and I both enjoyed it. Similarly, when I got the bill they tried to charge me extra for parking. I had to point out that I had already paid for parking in my package and they fixed the bill. Still, at a place like this, these things should not happen. With that one warning, definitely stay here and enjoy!

Situated in the beautiful old port section of Montreal, this is the perfect spot to begin your tour. The rooms are lovely and quite large. Our suite had an actual bedroom which allowed my husband to get up, go to the living room, sip coffee, and read the paper (delivered daily to the room) without disturbing me if I wanted to sleep a bit longer. The breakfast buffet is very nice - the continental is included; for a minimal additional amount, you can add a full buffet on mornings when you find yourself wanting a bit more. The terrace restaurant was a lovely place to have a cocktail, and while we didn't eat there, the food looked wonderful. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. We look forward to staying at Le Saint Sulpice again!

This hotel is hip and comfortable with large rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. It's located in the heart of Old Montreal, which is a bit cut off from the rest of the city but still a great location and really only a few minutes by cab from downtown. Stayed one night with my girlfriend on a combined business/plesaure trip and it made our time in the city even more enjoyable. The best part: L'Occitane toiletries! A great place to stay on your next visit.

Commentaire d'un client de Hotels.com le juil. 9, 2009
The hotel accommodations and location are great, but upon entering the room, I quickly concluded that the hotel must have been designed by a man. The bathroom, though of decent size and beautiful enough, lacked some key design elements for the female traveler. Counter space was a little limited, and the only robe hooks were located over the only full length mirror. There was only one hook for a towel in the shower - most women use two towels (one for hair, one for body). The lighting was inadequate, with no shower or tub lights. The overall aesthetic of the room was a little rigid and masculine, which was inconsistent with the sinuous S motifs found throughout the hotel's design concept. I doubt anyone else would notice or care about design details like these, but better design decisions would have increased my satisfaction. A word to the wise - don't eat brunch in the garden on Sunday. We paid about $125CAD for brunch - pure insanity! The location is perhaps the best thing about this hotel. Walking distance to excellent food and fun! Relatively quiet for peaceful nights on the balcony.

The experience was also quite nice that it was off season and the weather was still warm. Our suite was huge. I got a great deal on this web site. Do watch that at breakfast that you eat the cold breakfast as they will charge you for the full buffet. The wait staff is not forth coming on this information. Our rate included the cold buffet and it was enough for us. I highly recommend this place.

This hotel is a gem! From the impeccable (efficient and polite) staff, to the beautiful rooms, outstanding housekeeping (rooms were pristine in the grand european tradition), ideal location and great value! (we were upgraded to the executive suite). We enjoyed an awesome 3 nights here recently and it has been one of the best hotel experiences ever. Really can't find a true fault with the experience save for the ongoing road constructions underway literally at the hotel's doorsteps and maybe more tv channels especially english speaking ones). Also no issues with the valet and safekeeping of my car. Will happily recommend this hotel to anyone heading up to Montreal.
