Crowne Plaza Hotel LONG ISLAND - MACARTHUR ARPT - Holtsville

Room was sufficient as we only stayed 1 night. There was a roach in our room and the person at the desk was non-reactive. Otherwise, gym and breakfast were fine

We were very happy with the room. We were disappointed however that the rate that we got thru Hotels.com did not included the free breakfast in the morning.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in for long time room was clean beds were very compfortable. We were luckly to get this room all the hotels in the area were fully booked. Staff were very hospitable. A full breakfast is served at a reasonable price. They also seved luch and dinner. All in all my family had a great time here. The hotel is quite old but everything is functional and there one can find all the comfort. I had some troubles with my internet connection (could be because of my laptop settings) but nothing bad beyond this. The staff is helpful. Requested a King Size bed........did not get.....asked about it was told since booked thru Hotel.com this was the room booked at our rate.....to get King the rate would be higher. Turn on light upon entry and lights would not go on.......Bathroom bulbs...two were working and two were not. Tub drain stopper was not in working order. The room was spotless. The friendliness of the staff was great. Once in our room we received a welcome phone call. That meant a lot. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

I did not use any of the hotel services, jst slept there. hotel was fine. good hot water, clean room and shower

I enjoyed the food and the room but when we were sleeping about 1am the fire alarm went of. When we realized that there was no fire we went back inside. We were tired and wet, it was raining outside. Then when we fell back to sleep the fire alarm went of again. it went of every 2 hour, finally at 4am we got made and packed up our stuff and left. That […] not what I wanted to be doing at 4am. I am moving to the Central Long Island area and chose the Crown Plaza for our one night in the area. It is RIGHT NEXT to the L.I.E. and the windows are not well insulated. Traffic could very easily be heard. At check in, I was given a room with two double beds, when I had requested a king. Went back down to the check in desk and this was resolved immediately. […] The room was okay... large LCD television and a relatively comfortable bed. Didn't get a chance to check out the hotel restaurant / bar, but it looked to be average. Overall, a good place to stay if you're traveling through, but nothing to write home about. Lisez la suite

Nice hotel with very reasonable rates. Rooms were huge (and clean!) and service was friendly. Unfortunately, the Sleep Number beds in the room were broken, so they were a bit soft. Other than that can't complain at all.

Became my home away from home during the Monster Storm of 2011.

When I entered the room, I had to use my CELL PHONE LIGHT to find the lamps because the light switches didn't work!!! The phones had NO DIAL-TONE for me to call the front desk, so I had to use my cell to call and complain. There was an opened apple juice and Vodka bottle left in the fridge (which tells me the room WASN'T CLEANED thoroughly). The old […] pieces of chocolate on the bed turned me off. Great location right off of the LIE, but a few exits down from the airport. Clean rooms, friendly staff, but not much around the exit entertainment/food wise. The rooms are kind of small and there was only one trash pail in the main room, not in the bathroom. The tv picture was very grainy and turned us off from getting an LG tv. This was the least […] expensive hotel in the area on the week that we travelled and was worth it. I travel for business 15 days per month, and this hotel is one of the best I've stayed at. Staff was very courteous and accommodating, restaurant was good, room was clean and comfortable. My only criticism is if a hotel is going to splurge by putting hi-def TVs in the rooms, they should broadcast in hi-def. Our room must have been newly renivated it was lovley clean and comfortable. The rooms are a bit small, not good if you have small children. as adults we managed.

Room was in terrible condition, extremely musty. Nearly the entire carpet throughout the room was soaked, perhaps due to a carpet cleaning not properly done. Had to walk around in bare feet and had to make sure nothing touched the floor. The smell was disgusting. Could not get another room because the Hotel was full. Returned key to another employee, but was charged by Hotels.com and another time for the same by Crowne Plaza. On checking in I found the room to be very small. The "sleep number bed" controller did not work, the bed was inflated to the maximum and very uncomfortable. The bathroom had no vanity, or counter of any kind, you couldn't even put a toothbrush down anywhere. The room was very nice but there could have been some preventative measures taken to make my stay excellent. The light above the door did not work and when entering at night I had to feel my way across the room to turn on the light which was also not working properly. Only 1 out the 2 bulbs was working. There was no garbage pan in the room. I went many times to ask for pan and they pay me no mind. Only one of the lady in reception was very nice. And there was a supervisor in housekeeping , she was very nice.

This is our first experience with a Crowne Plaza hotel. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail displayed by all personnel. We had traveled a long way and the rest we received was better than most hotels we have stayed in. We would definitely come again and would try other Crowne Plaza hotels in our future travels. […] If I could give it a rating over 5 I would. Thanks for a great stay. There were little problems with our room, there was no remote for the TV, not to mention the TV was really old. Also, no alarm clock to get you up in the morning. The handles on the dresser drawers were falling off. We also were given a handicapped room for some strange reason. We were too tired to say anything about it and just went to sleep. I can't believe this hotel offers rooms as cheap as they do. The whole place is like a true 4 star hotel. The bathroom was amazing in our room, with a blue glass sink and multi-function shower-head. There was a 50 dollar pre-authorization that is put on your credit card, I'm still waiting for it to come off, but that's to be expected with many hotels. […] When I checked out I talked to the manager who was extremely friendly and asked how are stay was. Stay was good overall. Room was comfortable. Only issue was sign on the highway of the address was small. Past it before finding it.

This hotel was conveniently located but hard to find even though I know the area and had a navigator (they could use a more obvious sign) and surely it is not the 3.5 stars it is rated. The decor is worn and kind of crummy. The rooms are on the small side and outdated (old TV, BR vanity, etc). There was a couple fighting down the hall (which could happen […] anywhere I guess) who "deposited" personal items out the window into the trees! The hotel staff was courteous and did apologize for the disturbance (which really wasn't that bad, just kind of sketchy). Rooms were recently updated and very modern. Place was very clean inside the room and had very presentable bathrooms. Only thing was we stayed on the first floor and the rugs and walls in hallways were a bit abuses. Some peeling wallpaper dirty / stained rugs.

In town for a funeral. Day of funeral, no hot water to shower. Basically you get a hotel room for a place to sleep and a place to bathe, and I was unable to do one of them on the most important day of the stay. Other than that, the hotel was fine.

For what I payed I got a really nice room. It had a king size bed that was very comfy and a really warm comforter. The service was great and the workers were really nice. I only had two complaints, after booking the room Hotels.com took care of everything properly but at the Hotel they also charged me an extra $50 deposit for service. I got there at […] 3am and didn't need service because I only went there for one night to sleep. But that charge was mandatory and it would've been nice to know ahead of time. That was no problem, my biggest concern was the temperature of the room. When we got there the AC was on and set at 59F and it was like 62F outside. So it was pretty cold. I turned the heat on and set the temp at 90 degrees. Found out the heat wasn't working. The whole night we slept it was cold, the warmest it got was 65 degrees. I know I could have complained and gotten another room but it was already late and I just wanted to get some rest before hitting the road. But overall it was a nice place, it was clean, the bed and bathrooms were really nice with plenty of towels. I would definitely go again. Lisez la suite
