"Only place that had a room open in Dahlonega"
That I could afford anyway. Room was old and didn't seem very clean. Flies and knats flying around everywhere. I could see daylight through the doorjam so didn't feel very safe. Hotel had approximately 40 rooms and maybe a dozen of those were filled but of course we were all blocked together, people partying on one side of me and people gettin down […] in the other. To top it off, there's a knock on the door at ten am as im getting ready to checkout, it's the manager, just as I approach the door to open it I heard it unlock. When I opened the door there's the manager, key in hand asking if I was checking out. Checkout isn't until 11 and he was going to come in my room!!! That is unacceptable!! The bed was hard as a rock and so was the pillow. The breakfast was very little and when I used the microwave it started to smoke and the hotel agent was very rude towards me accusing me of operating it wrongly. I won't stay there again nor will I recommend this hotel.

Clean, for the price, it fit our needs and was a perfect place to stay. everything worked and it was a great place for the price.

"Wow"
When we first checked in...nothing was working. Nothing. The fridge was not cold, the clock radio dead, the coffee maker was broken, and three of the outlets sparked when I tried to plug things into them. The sheets smelled, the towels were paper towels at best. I've stayed in hotels all over the world...this is one of the top 5 worst. The free breakfast […] was cereal and shrinkwrapped muffins. If a bed is all you need and you don't have your wife with you, then it's ok! Definitely in need of upgrading and renovations, but barely ok for the money!

Room and service was good, but advertised as a non-smoking room yet smelled strongly of smoke. We thought it too much trouble to change rooms since it was late at night otherwise we would have.

Although the room was clean and personnel friendly our second floor room was definitely in need of repair. Obvious there is/was a major roof leak: swollen wall over door so that you had to butt against it to close, parts of the ceiling totally water damaged and even the picture over the bed had mold growing due to water damage. The sheets and pillow […] cases didn't match, and it's obvious the bedding is quite old. The only reason we didn't leave was there was a festival in town and a definite shortage of non-smoking rooms. "Dahlonega Super8"
I paid for 6 rooms here and promoted this hotel on our website and they would not give us a price break. They also went and head counted even though we had was truthful with the number of people staying in each room and paid for extra people. We also had recommended them for a host hotel for the event we was having. They have lost our business because […] they head counted, and they did not take into consideration us sending business there way. We scratched there back they did not scratch ours. Lisez la suite
"If you just need a bed, this might do"
This hotel is at best a place to sleep. It's not nice in any way and it doesn't have any amenities to speak of...I didn't eat the breakfast but I wouldn't count on it being much more than cereal and bread. Not a nice place, even for the cheap price. I would stay across the street at the Day's Inn.

The location of this motel was very convenient to town and the views were great. However, it didn't look as nice in person as it did on line.
They could not provide my family with a non-smoking room. I requested a non smoking room, but they (hotel) stated that your computers and theirs were not communicating with each other. It was a terrible stay!!! Hotel old and out dated....would NOT recommend.

Very friendly staff at the reception. Rooms are old and not very clean. Some musty smell. On the other hand, the price was right and therefore probably in accordance with what can be expected.

"Decent stay for a good price"
The Super 8 in Dahlonega was clean and neat, and the staff member who helped us was friendly. The rooms are older but we really don't mind as long as the room is clean. It had complimentary coffee and a mini fridge. They had a sign stating their pet policy at the checkin desk, which was fine - it was just a nominal fee which was good compared to some […] other places we've stayed. (We brought our little dog.) The only real problem we had was with the air conditioning unit. It appeared to not be working, but we reported it to the attendant when we checked out and he thanked us and said they'd look at it right away. The price was very affordable. The price was about what I expected. The room was clean, but could use updating. The breakfast, however, was like nothing I've ever experienced. It consisted of pre-packaged honey buns and small muffins, some cereal, and jugs of milk and juice that you helped yourself to from a mini-fridge. Enjoyed our stay, very good location to the local attractions and sights. Will stay again.
"Needs Improvement"
For the price and location, you can't beat it. But if you're looking for a better quality hotel, the Super 8 is not it. The front desk clerk was very helpful and very nice. But the whole hotel looks like it could use an updating. Towels were stained, carpet wasn't clean...but it worked for a one night stay.

Pool was very large and child friendly, location was good, and price was great.

for the money, hotel is pretty good. check out the bar with the italian name. locals just come and jam with the band which is usually pretty good.
