All hotels should consider installing new taller low flush toilets that allow older people to get off them easier. TVs should have a 'sleep' button on the remote.

Overall a decent stay but wouldn't go back there. You can only make a right into the motel entrance which means that you must make a u-turn to get there. I was in a smoking room and was nicely sized with a decent sized bathroom. Now, the room contained an old lay-z boy chair that appeared to be filthy and full of cigarette burns, I did not go near the […] chair. The desk chair was also filthy with weird stains on it and could use a wipe down. The bed had sheets that had cigarette burns all over them. The television guide sheet had the wrong channels on it, and they didn't even have comedy central like the guide sheet said they had. The bathroom was kinda clean, thankfully. The WIFI kept going on and off and wouldn't stay active, could be because I was on the third floor. The microwave was missing the glass plate that spins, but i still used it no problem. FYI, there is no elevator, if you require one. The free breakfast consists of cereal, oatmeal, bagels, donuts, muffins, coffee and orange juice. If you need to get food there is plenty of restaurants within a mile of the motel. O and the A.C. unit shoots out dust and other particles when you turn it on, the windows were missing screens and none of the lights were plugged in when I got there. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. The rooms were quite spacious. The continental breakfast was simple but good enough. Would stay there again.

Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the nonmusty smell that is usually associated with motels. There wasn't a hint of stale smoke in common hallway or room. Continental breakfast was a treat. Location was easy for places we had to visit. Clean and helpful staff. Only hotel close to the location I needed. I had a non-smoking room but it may have been used previously as a smoking room, a bit of a residual smell of smoke. Carpets looked as if they had been pieced together at seams but the room was clean and bathroon updated with granite. No locks on outside doors but there was video and […] audio monitoring of the public areas and hallways of the building. Neighbor hood was small business and commercial. The nights I was there there were several tree-trimming crews staying cleaning up storm damage so parking was a bit tight with all the bucket trucks. The hotel is located on a hill with very busy traffic late in the afternoon so you can only make a rt turn out of the parking lot up the hill. Great 24 hour diner across the street. You get what you pay for. The Days Inn at Torrington was a good value for the area and was the perfect base for exploring western CT. No complaints.

I've stayed in worse hotels for the price. Needs some updating and a more thorough cleaning. The younger gentleman working at night was nice and helpful.

Hotel is a no frills place to stay was clean and comfortable, only complaint was that the toliet seat and lid wouldnt stay up on its own. Shock getting wacked in the middle of the night like that...

Torrington is a town with financial problems. We did not know that until we got there. As for the hotel, we used our car to travel to a restaurant downtown, about 5 minutes away. Hotel was musty and dank.

It's a comfort, affordable hotel that suits well a business trip, or an event nearby. I use to stay there when I got to Lime Rock Park, although it's not that close, it's a short drive (~20min). I like that I can see my car from the window of my room; parking is free and around the building. If you're a racer, you'll understand this paragraph better […] than other readers. If you want to have a nice dinner, google Venetian restaurant. The dinner across the street is okay, and open 24h. The closest Applebee's gives discount if you show the key of your room. My sister and I came in to go to a one day high preformance racing school at Lime Rock Park. Skip Barber Racing School. There were places to stay closer to the park, but they were twice the price. This hotel looks like it came from a 1970s movie. The decorating was old the furniture was old and the bed was very uncomfortable. The only good part about the room was that the bathroom was very clean. I don't know where, but there must be a better place to stay in Torrington.

We stayed here because all of the other hotels were booked. Now I know why. We were first given a smoking room although we requested non-smoking. Hall smelled of smoke. Only one of the staff friendly. The continentla breakfast was made up of only cereal & stale muffins, bagals and English muffins. No fruit or anything else offered.

I couldn't get over the smell! Smoke-mildew. Not very clean. Few non working lights/ outlets. A prior persons body puff left in shower. I was creeped out.

A clean bathroom, a comfortable bed, and a quiet atmosphere were all we were looking for, and this place delivered. The free wifi was a nice touch. Forget about the breakfast though, it was just a plate of muffins next to a coffee maker.

The hotel was convenient, a good value and suited our needs for an inexpensive one night stay in the Norfolk area. The fact that it had a refrigerator and microwave was also a plus. Staff were friendly and the breakfast offerings were good. We would stay here again if our travels bring us to the area.

We had a job in Torrington and wanted to stay close to town, and there are few options. The hotel is fairly clean, and if it's just a room you need to sleep in, it's passable, but just. A great little hotel for the cost, it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the room has a fridge AND microwave a wonderful amenity.

This facility is exactly what you think of when booking a low cost Motel. It's a place to lay your head, nothing more, nothing less. Very nice staff, great water pressure, good selection of TV stations, could use new screens on the windows and the bathroom had that old Motel mustiness to it.

Initially stayed 2 nights & the stay was very good. Had a room on 2nd floor, 1/2 way along. (rooms near front of hotel get more noise from the road). Very convenient location & an excellent 24 hour diner right across the street. Pus Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Friendlys all 2 - 5 min. walk. Hotel also offers very basic breakfast buffet with coffee, tea […] & it's complimentary. Overnighted in Torrington 3 days later & stayed again just for 1 night. Had a room closer to front of hotel - traffic noiser & discovered that your room can be severely affected by noisy neighbours. They came in loudly at midnight, had a conversation for an hour, then had a fight & each left seperately - slamming their door as they went. Then one of them returned at 4:30 a.m. & the walls are so paper thin I could hear the toilet paper being unrolled in their bathroom. I would still highly recommend the hotel for the value, location etc. However, next time I would request a room at the back of hotel & as isolated as possible. Very clean, comfortable beds, great if you just need a place to stay for the night and shower in the morning. Only sub par part of the hotel is the televisions, they could definitely stand to be updated. Overall, definitely worth the money.

It advertizes internet connection and it is very sporatic and I will not stay there again as I was unable to do my work as I could not keep a connection.

We had a non working TV remote(big deal for my husband -lol - they jumped to come to the room to fix it- when they couldn't- they immediately moved us to a room that had a working one! Service was outstanding. Will return. Great value in a great area.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. I was only there to sleep, and the bed was comfortable and met my needs. The TV is very basic, and a bit outdated. The AC unit is a bit noisey, but otherwise you are getting what you pay for. There is a free continental breakfast, and plenty of parking. It was comfortable and clean. The toilet and air conditioners did not function well. We were on the third floor and had to drag heavy luggage up the stairs (no elevator). Breakfast was adequate and appreciated.

The people there were very nice but the TV in the room was barely useable. They need to upgrade the TV's. Watching red and green channels wasn't my idea of relaxation.
