Very nice Super 8, clean, comfortable and affordable.
"Nice Hotel Nothing Around"
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. I had no complaints about anything at the hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean. The major problem is the hotel is on the far end of town and there is nothing around it. If you are just passing through and need a place to crash it is a good choice but if you need entertainment for a family […] probably not the right place. Very good location, close to Family in Crystal Lake & Wedding at Pilot Knob State Park.
"Hairy Towels, nothing like the web site"
whoever washes & folds the towels must be visually impaired. We found hair on the towels the 2nd night we was there. Super 8's web site said it had HBO, but we never found it, even with the room guide. The side entryways are never locked, even tho they have card readers, they do lock the lobby. Very clean, very safe feeling for three women traveling. Very accommodating to our request for more towels. Only recommendation is better continental breakfast.
"Hotel a little away from I-35 but worth it."
Very nice hotel with pleasant workers and clean, up-to-date furnishings. It extra drive to get the slightly lower rate from those hotels near I-35 was well worth it.
"Not so Super"
The only good things I can say about this hotel is, it was close to where I had to be & it was quiet.. Had problems with the fridge on check in, was to tired to report it then. Next day we left and returned around 3 pm to find that our keys didn't work, we went to get new keys and report the fridge not working the guy was very rude. then we find that […] the room was not cleaned.. this could be a nice hotel if they would change the staff. "Quality room for the money"
Stayed overnight while visiting a college. Room was EXTREMELY clean. I could smell smoke from what I assume were other rooms, which was annoying. But it was coming from outside the room or the vents. The beds are sort of low to the ground, and not all that soft, but I slept fine!

The only shortfall that I could see was that my husband, who is handicapped, had to climb into the tub in order to take a shower. Simple showers would be more accessible to all.

The hotel was very nice and especially clean in a very quiet location. The staff was courteous and helpful. My only complaints are that the beds were firmer than I'd prefer them to be and the pillows had been washed so many times they were lumpy.
