We booked this motel as an overnight stop on our way to Myrtle Beach. I was impressed when checking in at the front desk, the clerk was very pleasant & had my key & paperwork all ready, he then directed us to the room. It all went down hill from there. We were assigned room 201. The room smelled musty, the walls were paper thin, the bathroom had little […] bugs flying around, the floor to the bathroom felt like it was going to fall thru, the beds felt like springs. Had it not been after 11 pm & we were leaving @ 7 a.m. I would have changed rooms & possibly hotels. I would like to think I got a bad room but couldn't guarantee that was the only one in that condition. I would not recommend this motel to anyone! Lisez la suite

Our stay was good. Hotel.com took care of the booking and our room was ready when we arrived. The location was great, just off I-64 with plenty of eating establisments within walking discount. The room was clean and well worth the rate.

Decent motel in Charleston WV - The bed was great, and the room was clean and fine for the lowest rate around. But there was no hair dryer available in room or from front desk. Breakfast was not worth mentioning, coffee was bitter and donuts were stale. It was not worth my time to go to "breakfast".

When we arrived we called to the office to advise that the smoke detector was constantly beeping and would bother us, we also informed them that there was a dirty wet face cloth on the floor behind the washroom door. The manager on duty came to change the battery and we informed him then that the toilet seat was not secure. He did something to tighten […] the toilet seat as well. When he was gone we discovered the old battery left on top of the television and he did nothing about the face cloth. Later we discovered that there was only 2 towels and 1 face cloth for the 4 of us in the room. When we phoned over to ask for more we were told that there were no more face cloths available and that we could have more towels if we walked over to the other side of the hotel, after 10:30 at night ( 4 women in the party) or we would have to wait for the shift change in about an hour. In the morning the breakfast consisted of donuts and coffee, no bagles, muffins, fresh fruit etc. There was also no milk available for tea or coffee ( there was only powdered creamer) The beds were clean and comfortable. Comfortable, clean rooms. Great shower heads... I don't need more than that!!:)

The room I stayed in faced a heavily traveled highway and the traffic noise woke me up a couple times during the night. Maybe better insulated doors and windows might help.

I booked a room with 2 full beds, there was 1. Above the bed hung a picture covered in mold. One of the chairs upholstry was completly ripped in two. One of the bedside light fixtures had no light bulb. Fortunately, I didn't detect any bed bugs. Would not recommend this hotel to others.

Well, this hotel is far away from town and had very little around the hotel. The cab fare one way was $16.00. That being said it is located on the #2 bus line and has a bus stop right across the street and for $1.50 you can get to downtown Charleston. The hotel room was fine. It was a little rundown, but it was clean. The continental breakfast that […] was advertised was just a box of donuts which really made me feel ripped off. The first room we stayed in was not the greatest but the next week the room we stayed in was much better.

This is the worst motel room I have ever stayed in. It smelled terrible. The blankets looked like they came from Goodwill. There were mattresses in the parking lot, laying on the ground. The walls had chipped paint. The ceilings were old pop corn ceilings that were in bad shape. The breakfast is a donut. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Actually stayed 2 nights, very convenient 2 some shops & plenty of food locations. The hotel was quit cozy enclosed wit microwave & refridge. Pricing is much better when booked on-line.

My family and I were there only one night as a stop over to another destination. The bathroom, bed, and room were very clean. Unfortunately, the general look of the hotel was not real appealing. It's an older building and it needed some repairs. Our bathroom door had holes in it and the floor tiles were loose. In addition the mattress was very uncomfortable, […] and the pillows were about as flat as pancakes. If you have your own pillows, it really isn't a terrible place for a short stay. Lisez la suite

Good thng that we had pillows in the car because the hotel ones were questionable at best and we would not have used them in any case. Although there were 2 Steakhouses within walking idstance the area itself was a little scary and there was some concern for safety. This was not a good value.

Very bad experience. Room is in very bad condition. Door is almost broken. Do not take this one! Truck stop in front of motel. Hookers around the area.

In checking the reservations the day before, the clerk was snippy and again when I checked in..

This was my first time at this Knights Inn. I normaly stay at the Red Roof Inn when I come to the area. However after this weekend I will always be making reserevations with the Knights Inn. Do yourself and your family a favor and spend a couple bucks more on a decent hotel. This place SMELLED of smoke even though we had booked a NON-smoking room and there was a non-smoking sign on the door. The room was NOT vacuumed and the bathroom door had fist sized holes in it. The reason we had booked this hotel was because of the location conveniently […] being off the highway and halfway point of our total trip, we just wanted a place to sleep. Unfortunately the smell was so strong the it prevented any of us from getting sleep, even though i tried to sleep under the covers..the "BREAKFAST" is the WORST THING EVER! Don't go there. We checked in and the room was not too bad but not that clean either. Not enough towls for the three of us in the room. There was a creepy guy hanging out in front of our room night and day. we asked the front desk to ask him to leave they just brushed us off. He continued to hang out there. the room seemed to be "falling apart."

Reserved a King non smoking room, they ended up giving me a room with 2 double beds, I called them and only thing available in king was smoking, which was irritating but I agreed to take it, went down to the office and they already had my new key waiting for me, I put my "Do not disturb" sign on the door before I went to sleep for the night, next day […] I went to office to get extra washcloths and they said there werent any available at that point cuz housekeeping is gone and I had a do not disturb sign on the door when they came around. I would think they would have towels, wash cloths, etc available at all times, but nope. Overall not too bad for the money if your on a budget. Bed's are pretty comfortable. Lisez la suite

Clean & Comfortable Room - Courteous Staff

For the price this was a good hotel. I had heard negative things about Knight's Inns in the past and was apprehensive about staying, but needed two rooms at a reasonable rate. Although it was a little further from our main destination than I would have like to be, it was clean and comfortable. Much better than expected for price. Room needs updating but was large, clean, smelled clean and had extras such as a microwave and fridge. King size bed was confortable. Excellent overnight say.

This hotel had all the expected amenities of an inexpensive hotel. We were pleased.

As long as you keep your expectations low, you will likely enjoy your stay at this Knights Inn. The room was relatively clean except for the dried "boogers" on the bathroom wall. I was hoping for some type of comfortable chair in order to feed my 6 week old son, but all they have are wood chairs and padded desk chairs without arms (in fact, our room […] didn't even have the wooden table and chairs, so we had to request a chair). The donuts and juice for breakfast exceeded my expectations. For the sake of my wife and child, I cancelled our second night here and booked a room at a much nicer hotel nearby for only $16 more. The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and cleanliness. A great value and we'll be back on our return trip. No problems and a friendly staff.

I was a bit aprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but we needed a pet friendly site. We arrived late after driving down from Chicago and had no problems with the staff or condition of the room. Bed was more than comfortable, the small fridge worked fine as did the microwave, neither which we expected to find. Place was quiet and for the price […] was a great value. The hotel was old with furniture that was somewhat broken. Also, when we arrived at 10:00 pm and went to our room, there were people sitting outside their rooms. There were empty cases of beer sitting in the sidewalk. Is this a hotel that people live in? I would not go there again.

I was extremely disappointed with this whole process. We reserved 2 King rooms and when we got there, they only had 1 King and one room with a full size bed. My husband and I took the King bed and my parents took the full size room, they didn't mind. However, the air conditioning broke in our room and the manager came out to look at it. He told us we […] would have to wait until morning for them to fix it. It was 5pm in 80+ degree weather. We asked if we could be moved to another room and he said there were none available. By 8pm we couldn't stand the heat anymore so we talked to the front desk personelle who kindly gave us another room, a double room, 2 full size beds. My husband is 6"3' 260 lbs, so he was uncomfortable but we had no choice, at least we had a room with air conditioning in it. However, the next day we woke up to find 2 small roaches on the sink.
