Hotel Petit Palais - Venise

Have travelled all over the world and always stay in 4/5 star hotels, but the Petit Palace was far from a Palace. It's not a 4star, because it doesnt have a restaurant only a breakfast room. Internet connection: It's cheap but lots of websites were blocked very unpleasant. Breakfast was of very poor quality. The breakfast staff were very friendly. The […] hotel 'shares' the pool of the sister hotel which isn't at all within walking distance from this hotel. The beach in front of the hotel doesn't belong to the hotel so you have to rent beach chairs. There is only 1 restaurant nearby which wasn't recommended by the very unfriendly night receptionist, which at the end was much better then we expected (after the comments from the receptionist) and at least had a great view to the beach and ocean and decent food with acceptable prices. Do not book this hotel when you want to enjoy the 'real authentic' Venice city. We stayed only 2 nights which was acceptable. you need to take a bus from the ferry/taxy point to the hotel or have to walk for 30 minutes to the hotel. Lisez la suite

The hotel is very nice, and the room was clean and comfortable - the bed was amazing! It was right on the beach, which was good. It is a 20 min walk or a 5min bus journey to the boat for Venice. The breakfast is ok for a 4 star hotel, although most of the tables were dirty when we arrived 2 of 3 mornings. The tall blonde guy in the mornings was the most helpful person we met in 3 days in Venice/Lido. Don't forget there is a 2.80 Euros per person per night tourist fee on check out. Very clean and nice little hotel right on the beach on the island Lido jsut outside Venice. Very helpful and serviceminded staff. There are busstops close to the hotel bringing you to the boat shuttle running to Venice. Buses run every 10 minutes or so.

We had a great stay at Petit Palais. We found the St. Mark's section of Venice to be way too overcrowded and expensive. We preferred staying on the island of Lido - much quieter. We took the short ferry ride to the main island of Venice during the day to see the sites and then came back to Lido and spent the afternoon / evenings on the beach. The hotel was in Lido, not Venice. It advertised as convenient to San Marco Square which was a total untruth. We had to walk a few blocks to take a bus to a ferryboat, then ferry over to Venice. The bus and ferry going back & forth can get quite expensive. My son went downstairs for breakfast & was going to bring me a coffee. He came back up and told […] us they "offered" to bring it. When we checked out, we were charged for room service for 2 persons, which was not what we ordered or wanted. Der Strand ist mit hässlichen Badehütten vollgepflastert, das Hotel hat KEINEN eigenen Strand! Man muss gegen Bezahlung irgendwo daneben Sonnenschirme unde Liegen selbst organisieren. Zu guter Letzt ist am 15.September mit jeglichem Strandequipment schluß - da endfet nämlich die Badesaison trotz 30 Grad. Besonders traurig ist, dass uns dies niemand […] im Vorhinein mitgeteilt hat - auch nicht bei der Ankunft!! Alles in Allem entäuschend, das Hotel ist von aussen unansehnlich, die Fotos auf der Homepage sind sicher schon 10 Jahre alt, Parkplatz muß man sich jedesmal wieder selbst suchen, dasHotel hat auch daneben keine eigenen. Rent och fräscht. Aircondition fungerade inte så bra. Hotellet har ingen egen strand. Man får gå en bit för att hyra en solstol.

Schönes kleines Hotel wenn man in der Nähe von Venedig entspannen will, aber der Strand ist überfüllt mit Italienischen Strandkabinen die 200€ am Tag kosten.

Stille og rolig område. Hyggelig betjening og fine rom. Vår veranda hadde sjøglimt, men kun plass til en person om gangen. Ble jaget vekk fra stranden rett nedenfor hotellet. Stranden tilhørte visstnok hotellet ved siden av. Ubehagelig opplevelse. Det kunne de godt ha opplyst om på hotellet. Måtte ta 2xbuss(€1,20)+Vaporettoen(€6,50) hver gang vi skulle […] inn til Venezia. Vaporettoen er verken koselig eller behagelig. Fikk litt angst for hva som ville skje om den begynte å synke så stappende full den var til tider. Fant en restaurant i nærheten av hotellet, de hadde en veldig god biff. Rent och fint hotell med mycket hjälpsam personal. Härlig, lång sandstrand alldeles bakom hotellet. Vi hade en smal ynklig balkong som inte var värd att vistas på, ändock havsutsikt.. Vårt sällskap fick ett rum med stort panoramafönster och en fantastisk havsutsikt. Hotellet hade stor fin frukostbuffé. Vi skulle checka ut från hotellet mycket tidigt […] på morgonen och fick dagen innan plocka med oss youghurt, ost och bröd m.m. och lägga i kylen på rummet så vi kunde äta innan vi åkte dagen därpå. Det tog ca 25 min att ta sig från hotellet till centrala Venedig. Det var 100 m till busshållplatsen. Vi åkte några hållplatser till båthållplatsen och sedan ca 15 minuters färd med Vaporetto till Markusplatsen. Busskortet man kan köpa då man anländer till Venedig gäller både på Vaporetterna och Lidos bussar. Man sparar mycket pengar på att åka med dessa allmänna kommunikationer och de går ofta. Det blir aldrig lång väntetid. Vi köpte ett 2-dygnskort för 28 euro (april 2011) Det var mycket hög standard på detta hotell jämfört vad vi fått för samma pengar om vi valt ett hotell inne i Venedig. Vi tyckte det var värt att åka ut till Lido och få så mycket finare hotell. Vi hade turen att upptäcka att det var marknad på Söndagsförmiddagen. Massor av stånd med kläder, skor, frukt, italienska delikatesser m.m. Jättekul att gå och titta på en stund när vi var på väg in till Venedig Lisez la suite

MUY BUENA ATENCION SOLO TENDRIAN QUE DAR INTERNET GRATUITO YA INCLUIDO CON EL PAGO DEL HOTEL. no hay queja ninguna,el auto bus pasa a una cuadra al crusar la calle es el autobus es el A o el B, y te deja frente al vaporeto, no son mas de 5 min.(NO HAY NADA MAL, la atencion del personal en muy buena)

El hotel aunque se encuentra en la Isla de Lido, en la cual solo llegas en Vaporeto y no a pie, y tienes que tomar un bus por unas 4 o 5 cuadras, esta bien ubicado, tiene la Playa al frente, las persinas se bajan para que no pegue tanto la brisa, hay unas sillas y mesas para ver el mar, tiene nevera, caja de seguridad y el personal es amable y ayudan […] bastante, el desayuno, muy bueno Lisez la suite
