meilleur rapport qualité/prix a virginia beach, tres bien situé, tres propre, bon déjeuné.Hors saison plusieurs petits commerces fermées . Mais de tres bons restaurants a proximité.

Au cœur de Norfolk, l'établissement Courtyard by Marriott Norfolk Downtown se trouve à quelques minutes de marche des sites Douglas MacArthur Memorial et Moses Myers House. Les sites Nauticus National Maritime Center et Chrysler Museum of Art se trouvent également à proximité.

The front desk staff had a very difficult time checking us in, the Valet was very nice. As for the eatery it was ledd than well maintained by staff
"Very nice Norfolk hotel"
The location - just across the street from a large shopping mall with plenty of dining options and the comfort and cleanliness of this hotel were perfect for my short stay in Norfolk. I did not have my own transportation, so the convenience of the location was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful when I needed taxis or had other questions.

Nice, clean hotel with very helpful staff. The only thing I miss was a more complete breakfast place. Otherwise, I highly recommend the hotel with its excellent location.

"1 Night in Norfolk"
I stayed one night at the Marriott Courtyard in Norfolk downtown. I drove around several time trying to find the parking garage entrance. I called the hotel and they said it is valet only. I pulled up to check-in but there was no one to greet me at the valet stand. I went inside to an empty lobby and 1 woman at the front desk. She checked me in quickly […] and also went outside to open the gate so I could park my car. I get to my room and the view is of another building and the sound of the whistle from the train on the new tram system filtering through the windows. The bed was made up but the sheets looked like someone had been sleeping in them. However, the room was comfortable and clean. I will not stay there again. Lisez la suite

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Also the front desk clerks were very helpful.
"Norfolk stat"
disappointed on the actual room we received. overlooked all the ugly utilities and the room itself was non-descript. I really thought, by the reviews and pictures, this would be a much nicer stay. will not come again. i'd stay at the waterside. stayed there a few times and rooms are so much nicer.

Marriott did a great job renovating their lobby!!!! They also did a nice job marketing this hotel. The rooms were vintage 1982 style with the addition of a flat screen tv. Beds were of love quality. "Too Much For Nothing"
I didn't like my stay, I think that it is over priced and I was tired of hearing the new rail system go by. I also wonder why there was not a microwave in the room and I had to pay $18.00 for parking in addition to the expensive cost of the room. Not a happy camper, no plans to stay again.

This is our 2nd stay at the Courtyard. We are quite satisfied with the accommodations. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Air conditioning worked very well and kept things cool the whole stay. Pros- This was a very clean, pleasant stay. The staff was remarkable, hospitable, and pleasant at all times- very professional, yet personable. The room was very nice, and reasonably priced. The Bistro was wonderful! Cons- The room climate control did not work and the entire stay was 'stuffy'. It was reported, but not fixed. The whirlpool in the pool […] room was broken- something we had looked forward to using. The valet parking is inconvenient, and there is no regular parking for visitors of guests. "Nice hotel - but not happy with the valet."
This was a very nice hotel in a good location, walking distance to the mall and many restaurants. The only problem we encountered was that it was valet parking only (which we knew upon arrival). When we picked up our car as we were checking out the settings in our car had been changed. The language was changed from english to french and some other settings […] had been messed with. It is an uneasy feeling knowing that someone else has been in your car playing around with the buttons/settings. Very unhappy about this and will stay somewhere without valet next time. "Totally worth the price and great location..."
Friendly staff, very clean and nice atmospheric environment and the hotel is up to standard. A Starbucks cafe was a nice touch. The quick cafe menu was pretty good too. It was a wonderful experience. The entire staff was so professional and very focused on customer satisfaction. Even the Valet parking staff. The hotel and room was clean. The location was convenient. My family stayed here to attend a funeral of a relative. It was very peaceful here. I would stay here again.

I live in Norfolk but needed to stay in a hotel for a night because of moving. Having stayed in hotels around the world, I chose comfort vice cost. The hotel room was average. The sheets felt like paper like in most hotels, there was a nice view of the parking garage, and valet parking is a near requirement. The hotel is in a great area, near many bars/restaurants […] and the MacArthur Mall. The cardio room is small and only has a few machines. Recommend staying here for a short time. Lisez la suite
"Great hotel for the average person"
This hotel was great for what it was. It wasn't the Ritz but it more than met all our needs. It was clean and quiet and in walking distance to everything in Norfolk. The low price made me have reservations but it turned out to be a great deal.
pool area was excellent. couldn't get the spa working though. My room had a musty smell and the a/c unit was filthy. everything else was great thgough
"Excellent room--slight flaw"
The hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and very comfortable, but it was too hot. Adjusting the thermostat made no difference. We were glad to leave in the morning and go out into the chilly outside air.

"Staying with 4 kids"
The staff was friendly, and the hotel as a whole was beautiful! We traveled with 4 kids, and our room with 2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa accomodated us all very comfortably. The indoor pool was our kids' favorite part of our stay, and we loved that it stayed open until 11pm. We also appreciated that our checkout time wasn't until 12 noon the next […] day. "Courtyard by Marriott Norfolk Downtown--No."
Hotel linens were visibly dirty and carpet smelled of urine. Asked to me moved to another room. Next room had clean sheets but was next to a generator of some sort so was very loud. Ended up leaving the hotel without staying the full night. I will saw, however, that the manager was very apologetic.

At check in we were greeted by extremely nice, pleasant people. There were no hassles even though we had reserved our room that same day on expedia. Our room was pristine. We had a great time and the service was excellent.

This hotel was extremely upscale, including the valet parking. Except the valet parking was not an option like it is at most hotels - and very expensive $18/day. I would have prefered an option to valet. Other than that, everything at the hotel was excellent - including the staff at the bistro - best nachos in town!

Nice hotel, location - surprised at only valet parking
"Not up to Courtyard standards"
I usually stay in Marriott properties when I am able. This Courtyard was not up to the same standards as other places. The rooms are clean enough, but the service in the restaurant downstairs, as well as at the front desk was not very efficient or friendly.
"Nice facilities but understaffed"
The location and facilities are perfect. We are picky about where we stay and we were happy with the condition and cleanliness of the hotel. The only problem this hotel faces is staffing. There always seems to be a wait at the front desk and they always seem to busy to help - but they do. If you want your car and you call the valet, it's hit or miss […] if they will pick up, but the front desk will get them the message. Just sees like they need to hire a few more people in the customer facing positions and then, this hotel is without a doubt a 4 start hotel in my mind. It's just a really nice place in a very nice location. You could walk to tons of nice restaurants and tourist attractions oh yes, and the mall is within a block. Thought valet parking fee was expensive. Good service at getting and dropping car. However, hotel did not seem to be too busy.
"Stress-Free Getaway"
My wife was very stressed and I could tell she needed to get away from the kids and my in-laws for a day, so I booked a stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Downtown Norfolk. I didn't regret my choice. The room was better than I expected and the staff were very helpful, polite and knowledgeable.During check-in, the lady helping us volunteered a lot of […] good information (what time the Bistro in the lobby opened, how to use the large touchscreen display in the lobby, etc) without my having to ask. At checkout, my wife had left a wooden sign we had bought at the mall the night before in our room and the cleaning lady noticed it and rushed it to us at the desk. I could continue, but I would sound like an advertisement for the hotel. So, I'll point out 3 things that I was kind of disappointed in: 1. The AC seemed to take a while to get the room temperature balanced out (It was never uncomfortable, but I like a nice cold room). 2. The jets in the in-room spa tub were really weak. "Decent hotel, Lousy valet"
We stayed here for a wedding over the weekend. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The hotel lobby was under renovation, but we knew that before booking the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel only has valet parking. In theory, valet parking is more convenient than self-parking, but not here. On numerous occasions we waited 15-20 […] minutes for someone to get our car. When we notified the front desk that no one was at the valet stand, they just shrugged and said to wait outside until the valet appeared. In 20 degree weather plus heavy winds, you don't want to be waiting outside for someone to get your car. If they can't make the valet system work efficiently, then they should open up the parking area for self-parking. Lisez la suite

"Couldn't be happier"
I stayed here with three girlfriends on Halloween, a Saturday night. The staff was very pleasant, even when we came tumbling out of the elevator in costume. The room was spacious and clean--the view wasn't great from the second floor, but we weren't really there for the view. I really liked the abundance of mirrors (one over the bathroom sink, a full-length […] one on the closet door, and a decorative one over the couch). We were just down the street from the MacArthur Center, the NorVa, and more. I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite

The hotel and the room was very modern and updated. The room set up was well thought out, with a separate bathroom/closet area that included full length mirrored doors. The loby was inviting and beautiful. I ate the breakfast buffet at the restaraunt that had a rate more expensive than I'm use to, but in line with the area. The selection was good. I […] was very disappointed with the high cost of hotel parking, but the alternatives weren't good. The biggest problem was the construction going on around the hotel.
