Hotel in Montmatre. Basic clean hotel with pleasant staff. Can't beat the location, we could easily get to all the sights. Very noisy at night time as we were near the party area of Pigalle. Breakfast at 8 euros is good value

Its a small, clean hotel. The staff was very friendly. However you do have to leave your key at the front desk when you leave and pick it up again when you get back. There is no slipping people by the front desk. Guests who are not paying to stay in the hotel have to leave by midnight and the front desk needs to be informed of their presence. This place was pretty awesome all around, in that it was an excellent hotel for the low price we paid. I'll try to break things down into categories: Front Desk Personnel: Very pleasant; upon our check-in, the manager took the time to give us a map and highlight both the metro stations and bus routes that were nearest us AND where they would go. Room […] itself: For the price we paid, the room was fantastic. Actually, I'd have been happy with it if it were 20-30% higher, in fact. My primary concern in any room is cleanliess, and the room was very well-maintained. Yes, the walls are a little thin, so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper or plan any sort of nocturnal activities that don't involve sleeping , but we were never once bothered by any noises. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony view overlooking the street. The room's size was slightly larger than similarly priced hotels I've stayed in in Paris, and has an armoire to hang clothes, a desk with a chair, two end tables, and a small flat screen television. Yes, the elevator is small by American standards, but welcome to Europe. If you have problems with the stairs in your hotel, you might as well go home, since sights like Notre Dame and the Arc du Triomphe will likely tax your potentially cheeseburger-clogged arteries to the max. You know that part in the movie "In Bruges" where Brendan Gleeson tries to warn the huge family not to go in the cathedral? He's not kidding. Do some cardio before you hit Paris. However, we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for the one or two people ahead of us to use the elevator. Location: Very centrally located; coming out of the hotel, make a right, then another right, and you're feet away from the Pigalle metro stop. You're also near a McDonald's (which has free Wi-Fi. In Paris, McDonald's is your friend for this reason alone), Starbucks, and a Monoprix where you can buy cheap grocery items like water, sodas, chips, etc to take back to the room. Al Lisez la suite

The hotel is not bad in itself, but the fact they are using this time of the year to do building work and are not advicing about it before you book was not on! The location, Pigalle, is quite quirky, with sex shops rubbing shoulders with nice restaurants and smart cafes, dangerous it may seem to some who are not use to rough bits of urban life. The […] stuff was not very attentive and one of the guys at the reception used the excuse of 'danger of fire' for not having an iron machine available, which I thought it was pure bs for not having one. this hotel is not comfortable, the rooms are really small. the heat is not fine, the room i was in was really cold on the nights! and there is only a blanket to sleep with.

the hotel was good and situated not far from the tube station, the staff was great. I enjoyed the stay

Very happy with our stay. Staff was very accommodating, communication was easy in both French and English. Location was ideal - within easy walking distance to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, as well as the Moulin Rouge. The Pigalle Metro stop is just a short walk away, so getting around Paris was incredibly easy. Wonderful shops and restaurants just around […] the corner. Rooms with balconies are ideal, as the hotel is located on a lovely side street filled with guitar shops (for music afficionados) vintage stores and nice cafes. Red light district of Pigalle is nearby, but very tame and we never felt uncomfortable walking the streets at night. Rooms are clean and minimal as far as amenities, but hot water was plentiful. Breakfast is reasonably priced, convenient and offers a good sampling. Building is turn of the century, and charming. For the price, it was a fantastic place to stay, a great hub for all of our activities, and there was in-room wifi, which was a plus when we were mapping out our daily activities. I greatly enjoyed my stay at this reasonably priced hotel in Paris. The staff was very helpful and charming, and I was fortunate to get a top floor room with a balcony overlooking Paris rooftops! It is also on a relatively quiet side street close to Monmartre, Opera & Central Paris.

We are very disappointed at the hotel in Paris. On arrival, the reception staff was so impatient and rude and was not willing to help. The worst thing is the hotel charged us 23 Euros for calling the shuttle bus to the airport. The fee for the shuttle bus is 9 Euro each and yet they charged 59 Euros in total for 4 people. What a rip off! The room […] is so small, and there is no air-conditioning. There was not even a fan for the room. The average room temperature during our stay was around 30-34 degrees Celsius. The bathroom is so small and the facilities were rather old. They only provide a block of soap and a packet of shampoo for a two person room. The hotel's lift was ridiculously small, it only holds a maximum of 2 persons. There are other problems, but I don't have time to talk about them. It is more or less a very run-down hotel and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Lisez la suite

First things first, the hotel staff was VERY RUDE and not helpful at all. the night staff was even worse. It's as if they couldn't be bothered about anything.

I found this hotel while in the CDGF airport, left behind due to the airport shut down across Europe in April 2010 and in the middle of the crisis this hotel was like water in the dessert, service and care from employees was awesome, very pleasently surprised and they helped us find alternative routes to return home. I have to say that service was much […] better that in a 5 star hotel my wife and I were before the airport crisis. Additionally, the hotel is very well located if you want to tour the city, it's only 2 blocks from the Pigale metro station (lines 2 and 12). GRAND HOTEL DE TURIN WAS GREAT LITTLE HOTEL,CLEAN AND FRIENDLY,THEY RECOMMENDED GREAT LITTLE EATING PLACES WITH SPECIAL 3 COURSE MEALS WHICH WAS VERY NICE AT 17 EURO P.P. VERY GOOD.

An average hotel- I suppose you get wht you pay for.lift dis not work for the whole 6 days we were there. The bathroom was tiny and my 6 ft tall husband banged his head everytime he comeout of the bathroom due to the raised step.My main disappointment was no tea or coffee making facilities! Excellent location, great room, and clean. Breakfast not included, and we had to pay separately for a very pricey stale croissant! Buy breakfast outsude cheaper and FAR better. The old lady was misarable, and seemed to be providing the service begrudgingly, it didnt feel comfortable to ask for anything.

Das Hotel liegt an guter Lage bei der Metrostation Pigalle. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Kein Erstklass-Hotel, aber das Zimmer war zweckmässig und sauber. Der Preis war auch nicht zu hoch. Helt OK i detta prisläge

Tre stjärnor är överskattat. Vi fick rum på bottenplan som vätte mot innergård. Då hissen inte fungerade beslöt vi stanna ändå. Rummet i sig var ganska ok, men allt annat var långt under förväntan. Bilder mm från hemsidan matchade inte verkligheten. Kvarteren i detta område är halvruffigt och de som är emot sexbutiker mm bör nog leta upp andra stadsdelar. […] Frukost hoppade vi över, 8E för tråkig frukost i tråkig miljö. På fik runt hörnan fick man kaffe och croissant för 2E. Men nära metro ca 300m och 15 min gångväg till shopping. Lisez la suite

De service(receptie, personeel, ontbijt) waren uitstekend. De kamer was netjes. De badhanddoeken klein en een beetje oud. Wel schoon. De vloer was minder(haarpluizen en verdroogde lenzen) Pittoresk straatje maar de ramen/deuren van enkel glas dus nogal gehorig tot ongeveer 1.00. Lekker ontbijt; maar ga wat later.

Fomos colocados em um quarto atras do salão de café. Bom foi que não precisamos subir escadas com o monte de malas que estavamos carregando, mas nos sentimos um pouco isolados, sem falar que o banheiro era esquisitíssimo (mas limpo). O café da manhã era bom e o atendimento também. Charmerende mindre og kompakt hotel med en god beliggenhed, venligt personale og ikke mindst tæt på Pigalle Metro station, som nås på blot 5 min til fods. Skønt kvarter med gode små restauranter, caféer og hyggelig atmosfære. Med dette hotel som base kommer man hurtigt til alle seværdigheder i Paris centrum. Bra hotell helt enkelt. Ligger lite för nära Moulin rouge som är ett snuskigt område (porr). Men om man inte har barn så rekommenderar jag hotellet.

Vi bodde på hotellet i 5 nätter och trivdes jätte bra. Hotellet låg väldigt bra. När man gick ut på gatan så kunde man se sacre core. Det var jättte bra personal och dom var mycket hjälpsamma.

O hotel não é luxuoso mas é agradável, limpo, tem bom astral, funcionários atenciosos e dispostos a fornecer informações turíticas. É bem localizado, em rua tranquila e silenciosa, a 2 quadras da estação de metrô Pigalle.

Péssima localização numa zona de bares e casas de prostituição. Sair à noite nos arredores, nem pensar. É tomar um taxi na porta do hotel e ir prá outro lugar mais condizente. Hotel super antigo, acomodações limpas, mas velhas. Não recomendo.

Op Hotels.com stond dat het een 3 sterren hotel was en ik wilde, omdat ik met mijn vriendin ging, een tweepersoonsbed. In plaats daarvan was het een 2 sterren hotel, terwijl ik specifiek gezocht had op hotels met 3 sterren of meer. En we kregen 2 losse éénpersoonsbedden. Die schoven we tegen elkaar maar als we erin lagen schoven ze door de gladde ondergrond […] uit elkaar waardoor we apart moesten slapen. Het hotel personeel was wel heel aardig. Lisez la suite

Förhållandevis rent och välskött hotell (jmfrt med andra hotell jag bott på i Paris). Men jag hade nog förväntat mig lite mer. Tre saker att tänka på: Kanske hade vi otur, men vi fick bo i rummet precis intill hissen på 5:e vån vilket också var slutstation för hissen. Hissen användes frekvent och detta hördes helt otroligt mycket i vårat rum... Sedan […] hade dörren en ca 3cm glipa undertill vilket gjorde att minsta lilla konversation ute i korridoren hördes ganska tydligt. Jag tänkte att inte bara vi kunde ha sådan otur och kollade därför lite dörrar när jag gick ned i trapporna och mycket riktigt var det ganska rejäla glipor under nästan alla dörrarna. Täcken erbjöds inte utan det var hederliga lakan och filtar (kändes lite som tillbaka till lumpen...). Summering: ett rent hotell (de skötte städningen väl), trevlig personal och bra läge (bara några minuters gångväg till Lafayette, Printemps osv). På minussidan har vi allmän komfort (likt det jag beskrivit ovan). Hoppas min recension kan vara till hjälp. Jag är själv tveksam om jag kommer bo på samma hotell nästa resa till Paris. Äänieristys olematon, jos kadun puolen melu ei kiusaa niin hissi kyllä hoitaa homman. Siivous vähän kehnoa, lakanoita ei vaihdeta. Sopii ihan ok nukkumista varten kun päivät viettää kaupungilla kierrellessä. Metrolla pääsee kivasti. Lähikadun sex shopit ei varmasti miellytä kaikkia. The furniture in the hotel room seemed to be pretty new, but more of Ikea quality. The room lacked a carpet, which was explained by the night-porter that the floors in Paris had so good quality. Nice joke, since the floor was wood imitate for easier cleaning I suppose. There was a functional bathroom and a little TV set. There was a little desk too. […] Basic services like safe in the room and internet cost extra. Overall, it appeared like a separate room in a hostel with cleaning service. Para el precio que pagamos (con una oferta por más de 3 noches) no estuvo mal para ser París. La primera noche nos tuvieron que mandar a otro hotel porque no habían terminado unas obras (también de tres estrellas, pero bastante cochambroso), y nos invitaron a desayunar por las molestias. La recepción es mejor de lo que luego son las habitaciones...el […] baño bastante cutre, pero por ese precio bien. El entorno está lleno de "clubs", ya que está cerca del Moulin Rouge, pero nuestra sensación fue de total tranquilidad y seguridad. Lille hyggeligt hotel,hvor man hurtigt bliver bekendt med personalet, som er kompetent og hjælpsomt. Enkelt og spartansk indretning på værelset, godt badeværelse. Værelse med altan. Glimrende morgenmads restaurant efter franske forhold med venlig betjening.
