Olde Gatlinburg Rentals - Gatlinburg

As others have noted, rooms are pretty dated, bedroom is small and faces the walkway to room entrances. Small kitchen which we didn't much use, 20" (and 20 year old?) TVs. On the whole, a hotel room with a good location would have been a better value.

the room was somewhat clean, no bath towels were provided but were supposed to be there. cabinet doors were falling off, carpet had big rip and piece missing.temperature of room was comfortable because there were individual ac/heaters. location was great on a side road about 300 feet from the main strip in center of gatlinburg. supposed to have heated […] pool but it felt like it was heated for pengunins, hot tub did not work.had laundry room for guest use but was always locked and only one key was available. it was not the best place but it had an apartment size refrigerator freezer combo, bar size sink, 2 element electric cooktop, microwave, toaster oven and pots and pans and utensils although we brought our own pots and utensils. we brought all our food from home and cooking in the room saved us alot of money to do other things around town.despite the lack of service and the quality of the room i would still stay here because the cost of a room with a kitchen was the cheapest i found and thats what i was looking for a place with a kitchen. also we had a ground floor room with parking right by the door to the room be backed the car up in a spot right infront of our room and literaly the trunk of the car was only 5 feet from the door which made it easy to unpack and then repack when we were ready to leave. We booked this hotel so that we would be close enough to walk the "strip" without having to take our vehicle and search for parking. It was in a convenient location for that purpose. The room was as expected, clean and comfortable. It was dated in it's decor but a good value for the price we paid. The only disappointing thing was that the room was advertised […] to have a fireplace (which it did) and it got pretty chilly one night we were there but the hotel did not have the gas on so we could enjoy. Key was difficult to work-needs to be re-filed. Shower curtain did not do what it should-floor was soaked after any shower taken-mine as well not even have one up. Bedroom was way to small for the size of bed in there. No view of anything except the parking lot. Elevators reaked of smoke. Lights didn't work-missing bulbs. Needs upgrading

Me and my wife came on a romantic getaway. We absolutely loved the room, it was like a small apartment, could use updated furniture, but it was very clean the only other thing cable was a bit snowy on most channels (but we did not stay there to watch tv) over all i would recamend this hotel to anyone, and the next time i stay in gatlinburg this will […] be the 1st place i check Lisez la suite

After reading reviews of this hotel I was hesitant to make a reservation. I found a review of this unit and decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised. The unit has two oversize leather rocker recliners and sleeper sofa in the living room. The bedrooms are ample size and very well decorated and both bathrooms were stocked with towels. After reading a couple of the reviews I rented at Olde Gatlinburg with a little caution. When we arrived I found the place to be very clean and attractive outside. It was with a 2 minute walk of the Ripley's Aquarium. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was more than sufficient parking. We checked in to room 702 without any problem and […] caught what was a elevator that was a little outdated to the 7th floor. I was extremely impressed with the room and the view was nothing short of amazing. The room was a 1 bedroom that was newly renovated and done tastefully and beautifully. This hotel was great. Im not that hard to please but the master bed in the 1br was broken. Sunk in the middle. Try to get the 2br if you can. Better conditions. Room304.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The one bedroom condo worked out great for my husband, 10 month old son, and myself. It was nice to have a separate room and the kitchen was nice. Plus there was room for my son to play. Most importantly ... it was super CLEAN. The furnishings were a lil outdated but it was so clean and well maintained I didn't care. Also […] the pool was the cleanest I've ever seen. And no need to pay to park it is just a short walk to the strip. The view from the sixth floor was nice. The other residents were also friendly. SO OUTDATED! The wallpaper was coming off in the entrance of the room. Bed felt like you were sleeping on the floor. There was two recliners in the room and they were so run down looking that it looked like if you sat in them they would break. The couch was dirt looking. The screen door on the balcony was ripped off. We had a pool view but it was so […] hot on our balcony bc it was closed in. I have never stayed in a place that you stay that offers a coffee maker but no coffee. When you see the place it looks nice. but not inside. Not to far from strip. Lisez la suite

I will never stay at this place again. The first room we stayed in (and couldn't be changes because the office closes at 10:00pm) was nasty, smelled of smoke, had a large rip in the carpet, and everything else was old. The frig had an electrical cord running out the front and down the hall. The bathroom drains were stopped up and there was mold growing […] on the walls. When I was able to change rooms, the office worker was kind enough to give me 2 keys so I could choose which room I wanted - and of the 2 rooms, one was just as bad as the first. My family and I ABSOLUTELY loved this place!!! It was quiet and not directly on the main rd but not too far either!! The room was clean and beds were comfy. If we go back to Gatlinburg we will definately stay there again! Good quality for a decent price!

It was cozy. A two minute walk from strip.

Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The room we got was perfect, a little outdated but enough for a family of four to stay in. Be advised that this is a condo rental building so the office is not readily available and the unit you get might be completely different as the units are owned by different people, the office manages about 35 out of all the units […] as of april 2011. Kitchen was a little small, stove with 2 burner and mini sink, but it was good enough, full fridge, microwave, enough utensils and dishes for 6 people. All the attractions, shops and restaurants were within walking distance which was a major plus with the gas prices rising!!! Will definitely stay there again as a matter of fact we don't think we'll look for another place Lisez la suite

We have stayed at Olde Gatlingburg Place several times. Location is good and it is usually quite. We stayed in 304 this time the condo looked nice and was clean. The bed was very uncomfortable and the shower's water pressure was no more than a dribble....Hopefully those things will be taken care of. This was my first experience in staying at this hotel, but will definitely stay here again. The hotel was very quiet and clean; very easy to locate; and within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg. Check-in was very fast; the personnel very friendly and helpful.

Everything went smoothly at check-in. All paperwork was in order and we even able to check-in a few hours early. The room needs updating. The furniture is in bad shape and the carpet needs replacing. The only chair in the living room was broken. My husband sat in the chair and it fell over backwards. The next day my son did the same thing. Since the […] chair was unusable, there was only one couch to sit on for six people. Several light bulbs were burnt out as well as the batteries in all of the remote controls for the TV. We made three visits to the office the get bulbs, batteries and clean towels and never founds anyone there. The sign says they open at 9:00 a.m., but we went at 9:00, 9:15 and 11:00 and never found anyone. The day we left we had to leave the room key in the mailbox because no one could be found. The location was perfect. We were able to catch the trolley right outside the hotel and downtown was just a couple of minutes walk to the aquarium and shopping.
