l'hotel est très bien situé à 2 minutes de la station de métro de earls court qui permet de rejoindre le centre de Londres en 15 minutes environ. Le personnel est très avenant et n'hésite pas à rendre votre séjour agréable, il est disponible pour répondre à vos questions. Le petit déj est correct sans fioriture, le personnel de salle est moins sympa […] que le groom service. Le gros problème de cet hotel, comme on peut le lire sur les précédentes appréciations ,est la taille de ces chambres qui sont très petiteset pour certaines sombres. Très joli hôtel, personnel accueillant bien que ne parlant que la langue maternelle. Petit déjeuner simple mais très bon. Seule la vue de la chambre n'est pas très jolie si celle ci se situe au sous sol. bon rapport qualité/prix.

Chambre absolument trop petite, impoossible de circuler à deux dans leur chambre, douche et wc sans espace et collé. Literie en très mauvaise état nous avons demandé à changer de chambre et n'avons pas eu mieux.En revanche le petit déjeuner convenable.

Cet hotel est bien placé (à 2min du métro Earl's Court). Il est situé dans une rue calme et tout près de plusieurs commerce (pub, KFC, macdo, subway, post office...). Le personnel est très gentil. Les chambres sont très petites mais fonctionnelles. Une bouilloire avec des sachets de thé et café sont à notre disposition gratuitement. je suis déssendu dans cette hotel pour une nuit, chambre single MINUSCULE. lit une place, pas d'amoir et les toilette et douche était à l'extérieur de la chambre. de plus il n'y avait pas de chauffage. Sinon personne trés peu acceuillante, petit déjeuné trés bof.

Hôtel situé dans le quartier de Kesington, à 150m du métro, et à 100m de la rue principale avec restos, pubs, magasins de souvenirs, fringues... Rue de l'hôtel très calme, établissement propre et entretenu, personnel gentil et à disposition. Cependant, numérotation des chambres farfelue, étage 1, 2 et 4, et le 3ème est à l'entre-sol (????). En effet, […] aucune information durant la réservation, mais notre chambre était à l'entre-sol !! du coup zéro jour dans la chambre... mais bon, on y faisait que dormir alors ça ne nous dérangeait pas. Chambre assez petite mais propre, serviettes changées quotidiennement, salle de bain et toilette privée étroite mais propre également. Par contre, si vous comptiez faire une grasse matinée, à l'entre-sol, c'est impossible, puisque à 8h le week end et à 7h30 en semaine, tout le monde descend pour le petit déjeuner, et comme la salle est à l'entre-sol, il y a pas mal de bruit dans les escaliers entre les pas et les portes... Sinon, petit déjneuner continental satisfaisant, on est pas au club med, mais on mange à sa faim... Dans l'ensemble, je dirai, hôtel très correct et bien situé, avec un bon rapport qualité prix. Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Il est proche d'une station de métro et dans un quartier avec de nombreux restaurants (pubs, italiens, indiens, fast food... tout le monde y trouve son bonheur). La literie est confortable et propre. La salle de bain également un peu petite mais toute neuve et propre, avec cabine de douche. Il y a un drap de bain et une serviette de toilette par personne et c'est changé tous les jours. Le point faible de cet hôtel est le petit déjeuner : des céréales, du lait (froid uniquement), café, thé. Pas de chocolat. Jus de pomme ou d'orange. Quelques fruits, des confitures, des yaourts, des toast grillés. Et pour nous français, une grande interrogation devant ce qui ressemblait à des croissants (mangeables uniquement tartinés de beurre et de confiture !!) et à des petits pains ... Bref ne pas compter sur le méga petit déjeuner anglais ou continental. Malgré tout, si nous devions retourner à Londres, nous retournerions aussi au Lord Jim car le rapport qualité/ prix est je pense très bon. Bien situé et calme: arrêt de métro à proximité, restaurants sympas aux alentours, supermarché tout proche. Petit déjeuner: peuvent faire mieux. Chambre: peu d'espace à disposition, dans la chambre comme dans la salle de bain.

Good hotel in general, great location (direct line from train station to the hotel station "Earl's Court"). Some rooms are a little bit small for two persons so make sure you ask a room engouh large for two people. Unless that, breakfast was very good, bathroom very clean and the people who work there, very nice.

It would have been better if you were given 2 pillows rather than just the one each. Also more choice for breakfast and a bigger breakfast room, we had to take our breakfast back to our rooms to eat as there were no tables.

I stayed in a quad room for 2 nights over new year. Although this place only has a 2* rating it is worth more. Excellent location just a couple of Minutes from the Tube. The Staff were VERY friendly allowing us to leave our luggage both before checkin and after check out. Breakfast was basic but ok. Rooms were small but CLEAN. The room was terribly small. We had two beds in the room and there was no space for our suitcases. I had bugs in my bed and got bitten (I managed to kill two!) I was disappointed for the price I had paid. The staff was reasonably friendly though.

Hotel pictures of rooms do match accomodation. Paper peeling, two single beds crammed in a single room a shower u cannot bend down or turn around in. No dtessing table a half hanging wardrobe no good for evening dresses. No telephone until requested when advertised all rooms had telephone. Breakfast basic and not much left if u down at 9.15 be warned […] everything gets cleared away at 9.30 whether you have finished or not. Would not recommend and will not be staying over again. A well positioned small hotel with even smaller rooms, however they were normal size for the cost. Staff were excellent andcould not habe been more helpful with their local knowledge.

Extremely handy to the tube and was close by to restaurants, pubs, supermarkets etc.. The breakfast was standard but just what you would need. Close to Earl's court station. We had the family room (Space for family of 5 with kids but we were three adults) on the first floor so easy on moving bags. Spacious room. Very friendly and courteous staff. Very quiet. Charming old style. Internet kind of slow.

this hotel is nicely located a couple blocks from an under ground station. the room is small (it takes some maneuvering to fit a suitcase open on the floor) but if you're not there for anything other than to sleep and shower, its a great place

I could deal with the small rooms. I went to London for the sights, not spacious rooms. But I was eaten alive by the bed bugs. When I told the management, they said they'd known of the problem and put me in another room - that still had bugs. They knew of the bugs and put guests in the rooms without doing anything about the bugs. The Earls Court area […] is perfect for getting around London and was safe. The location of the hotel was great within walking distance to the Earl's Court sub station and near a pick up point for the hop on/hop off bus tours. It was around the corner from a fairly large variety of restaurants. The room was quite clean and the shower was strong with lots of hot water. Those are the positives. The room was small (about a foot wider than the double bed) and storage was negligible. We had to be creative to move around and access our luggage in the room. The bathroom smelled musty. The walls were extremely thin and even regular conversational tones could be heard. For the price, other than the location and cleanliness of the room, I couldn't recommend this hotel. We had asked for a twin room for a three night stay. We got the smallest doble room I have ever seen instead and the bathroom was tiny aswell.We had to put the only cheer in the room on top of the closet to fit our two (normal size) suitcases. For a final night we got to change to a twin room. I had read some awful reviews on Trip Advisor prior to my travels so was a little nervous; however, it wasn't a bad experience. The guy at the reception is a little harsh, I found that it really helps to be super nice to him and then he works with you rather than against you. There were 4 of us traveling together and had reserved 2 double beds and […] once he saw the size of our luggage he gave us a room on the ground floor so we didn't have to lug things upstairs (though there is a small lift). The room was the smallest we stayed in during my 2 week trip through Europe. The beds though were big, pretty much your standard double bed size in the States. They unfortunately weren't the most comfortable things in the world. The bathroom was small but it had everything you needed (except a hairdryer which was unfortunate for us because ours had a blow-out prior to arriving in London). The location of this hotel is amazing. It is a short walk (3 minutes) from Earl's Court stop on the tube and from there you can get practically anywhere. There is also a market on the corner of the street up from the hotel that is really top-notch. In addition, there are various restaurants and cute shops all within walking distance. This hotel is fine--our room, 12, was small but fairly clean. The staff was very accommodating. The en suite bath had a shower. Don't expect a grand suite but if you are wanting a reasonably priced room in an extremely convenient location minutes from the Earl's Court underground station, this is the place for you.

I knew the room would be tiny and so it was. But, a room at the rear of the hotel is quiet and upper floors look at the leaves of the trees in the back. Unless you enjoy very confined spaces, I would not recommend this hotel. Even though the service and location was very good, the rooms are tiny and quite dated. If we hadn't already paid for the room, we would have gone elsewhere.

We booked a room for 3 : the room was small but very clean, the bathroom as well. The street is quiet but a 3-minute walk to the Earl's Court tube station, which is on both the District and the Picadilly Line and therefore makes the hotel very convenient to get to, whether coming from St Pancras, King's Cross, Victoria or Heathrow. There are also a […] few nice pubs, a few shops (Boots, M&S) and several fast-food restaurants on the main street that's perpendicular to Penywen Rd. The service was great, we met 3 different employees, all of them really nice, especially the man on duty on Sunday, who was absolutely lovely and very helpful when we came to pick up the luggages we had left in the morning because our train was in the evening. Stayed in a triple room on the top floor. Small and warm, but we weren't there to be in the room. Location was great within the city and close to the Underground station. Basic. Lift did work when we were there, tho had to take stairs where the lift left off. Glad to be able to leave our luggage before and after check in/out times.

Hotel was overbooked on arrival, so one of our party had to take a room a few doors up the road (was of comparable standard so no big issues but not the best start). I booked a room with two twin beds, but the concierge tried to give me a hotel with only 1 double bed, after arguing with him for 15 min he finally gave me a room with a double and a twin bed. He told me that his reservation print out didn't show that I booked 2 beds, so moral of the story, call and make sure what you booked on hotels.com is what the […] hotel actually booked for you. Other than that, the beds were hard as rocks but were manageable, and the second night I was there the sheets and bed were wet after they cleaned them. The breakfast was not bad, just cereal, yogurt, toast, danishes, apples, and juice. Also, ask for a room thats not in the basement where the breakfast room is because the staff likes to hang out down there at night and create quite a bit of noise, and the noise in the morning is almost unbearable from other guests going to the breakfast room. The location is great, right around the corner from the underground exit at Earl's Court, which is a very convenient exit and close to just about everything. The Lord Jim hotel is conveniently located for earls court underground and some decent pubs and local shops. The hotel itself though is pretty basic. Small room and most basic of breakfasts.

The staff is very nice and helpful. I arrived from an oversees flight & had planned to just drop of my luggage at the hotel at around 9 AM. A quiet hotel near Underground Station Earls Court. We got what we payed for, except we asked for 3 single beds but instead we got one dubble and one single. Because the hotel only had this kind for a company of 3.
