Hotel pratique, à 2 pas du centre de convention et 15 mn à pieds du quartier Français. La conception de l'hôtel engendre par contre beaucoup de bruit lorsque le petit déjeuner est servi. Réveil à 6h garanti!

La suite contenait 3 belles fenêtres. C'était très commode d'avoir la kitchenette pour cuisiner. Pas trop cher pour toutes les commodités. Il est possible de prendre le tramway de canal street pour aller au centre-ville. la station la plus près de l'hôtel est à 15 minutes de voiture.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"It was okay..."
I stayed here on two nights. The first night was great. Clean room, helpful staff. No problems. I continued my trip then returned a couple of nights later. This time I was given a room that was either a smoking room or had been one in the past, becuase it did not smell good. Nothing fancy and that's okay. The front desk personnel was very courteous and honest. They did not have any small bath towel when we arrived. The next day we asked for more large bath towels since that was all we had in the room to start with, and we were told that they were all dirty and was being washed. Later on that day we tried again to get more bathe towels and they gave us […] both large and small. Said they had went out and purchased the small ones that morning. My husband had to secure the door with his tools. The lock was coming off. The a/c made all kinds of noise in the middle of the night. They had prosituting going on at the hotel. Very obvious. I was dissatisfied with the numerous times I had to switch rooms. I have never stayed at a hotel and had so many problems and was not offered a free stay, discounted stay or my money back. I have never stayed in a hotel and feces was left on the toilet or chemicals were left under the pillow. The cleanliness of the hotel could have been better. For the price I paid, the hotel is ok. But my room was smelling weird, and I felt that was not well cleaned when the last guest left. I stayed 2 nights, and the room room was not cleaned in the first night. Even the towels were not changed... The front recepcionist were polide, and fast to check in and check out. Pros Had kitchenette, fridge, microwave, stove in room, 10 mins from French Quarter, very cheap price, 3 floors, elevator, cable tv, vending, free wifi, hot water, laundry room If you're custom to the Waldorf don't stay here. My room was neat it was nonsmoking yet it smelled like smoke , the stove didn't work and the only way you get fresh towels is to turn in your dirty towels. "not happy"

"Not coming back"
I usually don't write hotel reviews but with Sun Suites I will make an exception. Staying there was probably the worst experience I've had in a hotel in the US. I always thought there were certain minimum standards a hotel should satisfy in order to operate. This hotel does not meet most of them. My family and I got 2 rooms there last Saturday night […] so we could vote on the Venezuelan elections on Sunday. One of the rooms felt like walking into the lungs of a lifelong smoker (and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room), with one small double bed, dirty and worn out. The second room's smell was not as bad as the first one, but it had no hot water on the shower. I could hear my mother screaming out of cold from outside the room. Ice machines would not work on any of the 3 floors and there was not a single bottle of water in the vending machines. We tried to get at least another room in a different hotel but everything was booked due to a jazz festival. The neighborhood was pretty scary too. At 4am we decided to get our things and leave the place. If there is absolutely no other place to spend the night on, then consider staying here. Otherwise, go somewhere else. I am not satisfied for the money I paid and what I got. The front desk closes sometime after evening hours until at least 7:30 AM. During this time, nobody from the hotel staff is available to attend any request.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"Good place to stay"
We went to New Orleans to board a cruise ship. Sun Suite is about 10 miles from the ship. Down town hotels were $150 - $300 per night, too much for our budjet. We stayed at Sun Suite for $67 taxes included. The room was clean, smelled very clean, the rome was larger than most we have stayed in had a full kitchen. The bed sank in the middle, and the only compensation was "We will make note of that" which is code for "we don't care, and the next sucker we get will have to suffer, too." The hotel was located in an area that I wouldn't walk in. My room was old and smelled like it had been a smoking room and then converted. There was used coffee in my coffee maker and no creamer, sugar, etc. My room wasn't cleaned my second day in the hotel. I would strongly urge everyone to stay away from this hotel. This place is great to stay if you don't want to spend a lot and you only need to stay there for one night. The refrigerator was leaking and someone's water bottle was still in the window sill. We stayed at Sun Suites before and it was good but I must say this Hotel is in need of repair in rooms. The stove did not work,the faucet didn't work properly,the room was not clean they were dusty and the carpets needed more vacumning,light switches didn't work,bed was so uncomfortable.
