Hotel 41 at Times Square - New York

Very good hotel to be as close as possible to Times Square. The room was clean. The personel was always ready to help and kind. I do recommend warmly. The only negative was the size of the room, a bit tight for two, but you usually only sleep in your hotel room while in NYC.

Si vous recherchez un hôtel très bien placé dans manhattan, n'hésiter pas. Par contre les chambres sont petites et celle que j'ai eu donnait sur un mur. Si vous pouvez, demander une chambre au moins au 3eme étage car le café au rdc fait un peu de bruit. Autre point utile pour ceux qui viennent en voiture, un parking payant est à 20 mètres.

Hotel très bien situé. En revanche, les chambres sont très petites et assez mal isolées. Il y a un bar au rez de chaussé et de ma chambre au 2ème étage j'entendais tout.

Très bon emplacement au coeur de Manathan. L'hôtel a un très bon rapport qualité prix. Ses deux défauts majeurs sont le bruit ( clim et bar) et la prauvrete du petit déjeuné ( il a au moins le mérite d'en proposer un). Si vous voulez dormir a 50m de Broadway en plein de Times square, alors n'hésitez pas!

Un emplacement vraiment exceptionnel, proche de tous les sites sites touristiques de NYC. Un personnel d'une vraie gentillesse. Prix plus qu'abordable compte tenu de l'emplqcement (en plein Times Square). Seul bemol : les chambres trop petites.

L'emplacement est idéal mais les chambres sont exigues et très bruyantes à cause des sorties extérieures des climatisations des chambres (la plupart des fenêtres donnent sur la cour intérieure : 40cm de profondeur ce qui amplifie le bruit). Le personnel est néanmoins très serviable et le petit déjeuner correct.

Petit hôtel cosy, très bien situé en plein coeur de Times Square. Chambres petites mais confortables et calmes (nous étions au 6e étage). Petit déjeuner compris dans le prix de la chambre. Personnel souriant, accueillant, toujours disponible. Nous y avons passé un séjour très agréable !!!

Très bon hôtel: idéalement situé, chambre petite mais propre avec grande salle de bain, bon petit déjeuner avec buffet généreusement garni, personnel sympa et disponible. Seul bémol le bruit de la climatisation mais après une journée à New York il n'est pas dur de trouver le sommeil. Au total: à recommander.

Chambre borgne : la fenêtre était murée !! du jamais vu, très décevant pour le tarif de la nuitée !!! à déconseiller absolument car en plus la chambre était petite ce qui renforçait l'impression d'être en prison !!

This is a small hotel just off Times Square and is not easy to find in our taxi but once inside the reception was polite and efficient. The big shock was our room which was so small that the double bed almost filled the entire width making it difficult to walk down the side and get in !!. The room was clean but tired and slightly scruffy. Our window […] had been bricked up outside so when you opened the curtains the view was a wall !!!. The small bathroom needed maintenance and the shower was pathetic so we were relieved that we were staying only one night. Other rooms might be better but this was very poor Lisez la suite

We loved the location of this hotel! The service was superior, and we liked the happy hour in the hotel bar. The room was small, but clean...we would stay here again!

it's very small, like a dorm room but clean and very close to the theaters and times square. Great if you just need a place to sleep. Beds are very small.

The location of the hotel was fine if you want to be close to Time Square. If not find another place. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only down side was the size of the room. Cozy! It was fine for the fact we were there to see the sights, not sit in our room all day. Small bed, but was fine to sleep in.

I recently stayed at Hotel 41 and I saw EIGHT Broadway and off-Broadway shows during my 4-day stay. It was sooo nice to be able to spend the day sightseeing, shopping, eating, and then be able to drop off my stuff in my room, freshen up, and then WALK right to the theaters, rather than worrying about getting on the subway or hailing a cab again. The […] only problems with this hotel were the bed (I kept rolling toward the middle of the bed because the mattress didn't have enough support to keep the bed firm. Also, one day I slept in til 11am and there was no hot water in the shower. I called the front desk and they told me to just leave the water running til it got hot. It took about 15 minutes. It never got hot, it just got lukewarm enough for me to jump in and out of it. Lisez la suite

Very tiny room, absolutely okay if you just want to have a place to sleep, but nothing where you would remain for relax. Otherwise clean hotel and friendly people. For breakfast mainly bagel and cream cheese + coffee and orange juice.

One word to describe this hotel and the service - Perfect! The staff were very attentive and helpful (enquires for visits, arranging transport etc). The rooms are small but this is Times Square after all. On arrvial we had automatically been upgraded as there was a better room available. After our first night there was a minor problem with the room […] which was rectified by upgrading us again. Perfect! Great staff and nice clean room makes for a good place to sleep a block away from Times Square. The room was small but, overall, a good value.

Hotel 41 has the nicest, friendliest staff. The room was really small, but clean and the location was great, so you really don't spend much time in the room. It was close to everything - Broadway, Times Square, Rockafeller Center. So many fun sites just walking distance away!

Location, location, location. We got an upgrade on our room which was heaven as I was running the NYC Marathon, and the space allowed me to spread out my gear. Room very comfortable, great bathroom, space. And the staff were TERRIFIC!! Happy, helpful, supportive, friendly. This is the place to stay!!

Hotel was in good location and clean, but the room was tiny with no window.

I never experienced such an uncomfortable bed! My husband had to sleep on the floor so we could get a decent's night sleep.

is very welcoming, staff extremely helpful - we had booked a standard double room, but it was very small, as are most in ny city at this price. When I asked if there was any chance of moving to a room with more space, the man on reception changed it for us - at no extra expense. The location was the only good thing about this hotel. I booked the "superior room" and I would hate to see what the "standard room" looked like. The room was very, very small, a brick wall was our view and we were right above the bar so it was very noisy. I chose to stay at Hotel 41 because I had an early morning meeting around the corner in Times Square. While the location was convenient to my meeting, the full experience left something to be desired. I got off the elevator and my room was directly across from the elevator door, which meant that I could hear the elevator "dinging" all night. I knew […] that the rooms would be small but I never anticipated them to be THAT small. (The rooms are basically the width of a full-size bed plus about 6" on either side. No nightstands, no bedside lamps, and you have to get on the bed from the foot.) As soon as I sat down on the mattress, I could feel (and hear) the springs. The bathroom was probably the nicest aspect but it was clear that the finishes were not high-quality--the shower head was a very basic one and made a whistling noise. (And I know that mine was not an isolated incident because I could hear my neighbor's shower from the hallway.) In terms of the complimentary breakfast, there were two carafes of coffee, a jug of orange juice, and a plate of danishes. There is an espresso machine for free lattes but unless you know how to use one of the machines, there is no one there to assist you. The hotel was clean and despite the sound of the elevators, fairly quiet. However, given the price I would not stay here again. It's not worth it to save a few bucks and be so cramped. I'll pay $50 more to go to a bigger place next time. Lisez la suite

This hotel was great. Two minutes walk to Times Square and The Port Authority. The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Our breakfast was included in the cost and we had complementary coffee or tea all day. The room was small but very clean. This hotel is perfect if all you are looking for is a place to sleep and shower. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is really nice and accomadating. The room itself was very very small however it was clean and quiet (considering you are in New York). If you plan on being busy through the day I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

There are no security locks on the hotel doors; the rooms are extremely small; the tv only had 4 channels; the bar wasn't open; there is no restaurant; the continental breakfast had only coffee, juice, and some day-old rolls and bagels; the clerk at check in had no idea when asked about nearby restaurants. The hotel was very clean and centrally located. However, when they said the room was small, they really meant it. There was about 6 inches on either side of the double bed and the bathroom was tucked in a corner. One block from Times Square, walking distance to Empire State Bldg and many Broadway theaters, near Port Authority bus terminal and Greyline Bus embarkation point, taxis galore. Area is safe and hotel gives feeling of security. The staff is above average in all respects. Doormen double as bellmen. Servers for free continental breakfast are accommodating. […] Above all, the reception clerks are willing to help with any and all needs. I would recommend this hotel because the location was good and the people were very nice. The room was too small. To get on and off the bed we had to crawl over the foot of the bed. There was about 6 inches on either side between the bed and the wall. There was very little space for luggage, well really no space. Not great for sleeping. There were two […] chioces: hotter than heck or cold as ice with the loudest air conditioner ever. The window opened onto a brick wall. We should have requested a room change but didn't want to take the time. I may give it a try again but I would request a better room (assuming there are better rooms). Lisez la suite

We were told the room was small before we even arrived so that was no surprise. But the location was excellent to times square and subway stations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

The room was so small that we had to climb over our suitcases to get to the bathroom. The air-conditioning beside the head of the bed was so noisy we switched it off then our room overheated!! The lift was right outside our door so heard the bell everytime the lift came up. There was a dressing gown that had obviously been used by someone as there was […] make-up on the neck. We arrived at 12md and as we couldn't check in they wanted to leave our luggage in the foyer not in a secure room. I was glad we only had one night there as it was so claustrophobic and not cheap!! We really enjoyed our stay in New York. Hotel 41 proved to be a good choice although perhaps slightly more expensive than some of the other hotels nearby. The rooms were very small but nice and clean, and anyway who goes to NY to spend time in the hotel room! The free wi-fi and coffee were great. Our only disappointment was the shuttle bus which didn't […] turn up to take us to the airport - but with a bus just down the road which leaves every 15 mins we were able to make an alternate plan easily. A pity that the Theatre right next door didn't have a Show on, but as we were so close to Times Square this wasn't really a problem. Lisez la suite

Room was small but clean; bathroom had been redone in tile and marble flooring and was quite nice, actually. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd have no problem recommending this hotel to folks needing to stay in Manhattan at a convenient, reasonably priced location.

Great from the moment we entered , staff excellent ,fast check-in , room clean and cozy, location the best . Free cuppacino,dvds. The best hotel for the money .

Very small room, very clean bathroom; good complimentary breakfast; ease with parking garage and easy walking distance to Times Square. Highly recommended for a place to stay when visiting the city and expecting to be on the go!
