Excellent hotel with a great golf course and good spa facilities, would recommend this hotel. Super friendly staff! :) Clean rooms and a great gym, sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Efficient breakfast service, catered well for vegetarians. Hotel not child-friendly and not many local amenities. Very expensive bar!

The Westerwood is a great hotel with very comfortable rooms, a relaxing lounge and nice restaurants. The pool area is great and has a kids pool, a sauna and steam room. There isn't much in the local area but it's just off the motorway and easy to get to. The staff were nice and responsive. My partner and i went to this hotel for a weekend away.On arrival the staff could not have made us feel any more welcome.They are very friendly and helpful and was pleaseed to see that this carried on through the hotel. Myself and my partner were very pleased with the hotel, perfect night away and staff were very pleasant. Spa facilities were great and the room was clean and lovely... I would definetly go back :)

Hotel was great but only thing of complaint was our room was so far away from main entrance. We had to walk down what seemed like miles of corridors to reach our room each time.

Spent only one night recently at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bedroom was lovely and spacious with fantastic views. We dined ai the hotel restaurant in the evening and couldn't fault anything. Service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Enjoyed a one night stay in this hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and food was excellent. Only one small criticism was the slowness of the restaurant. It was a very busy Friday night, but we felt that the food could have been served a little faster. All in all a great meeting place with friends from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We had a relaxing couple of days as part of our honeymoon. We found it very comfortable. The leisure club was the best I have experienced, both for facilities and cleanliness. The breakfasts were lovely both mornings. we had a meal one evening in the grill and it was delicious. we were really pleased with our stay and would certainly visit again

We stayed at the Westerwood because we were attending a wedding at the hotel. The hotel managed the whole event very well; our rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. My only complaint would be that the curtains, while smart looking, did not keep out the early morning sun. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful, with lots of choice.

Outstanding hotel ,beautiful rooms exactly like photo, food was delicious staff were very helpful .Couldnt fault this hotel. We will definetly go back.

THis is not a review, but a comment for hotel improvement: Staff are friendly, location, cleanliness, service etc all good, but the hotel is let down by the quality of the food, especially the evening meals. Too much of it seems to be pre-prepared and out-of a packet - cooling gravy turned to jelly, and there is very little healthy greens available. […] (One evening, after some negotiation, I managed to obtain some salad with my supper, but there was no brocolli or cabbage, or peas on offer.) After a small misunderstanding about the room booking through hotels.com (2 adults and 2 children booked into a Std double room!) we eventually managed to get it changed and had an enjoyable night's stay in the Westerwood. Did have to complain about the smell of smoke - it was overpowering and not just in the lobby - right through to our room on the […] first floor. Also would have liked to see some sort of kiddie area, maybe swing set outside or a kid's room inside but overall, a good hotel that we would recommend. Lisez la suite

THIS WAS A PERFECT STAY! EVEN THE FIRE ALARM MALFUNCTION, WHICH CAUSED US TO ALL HAVE TO GO OUTSIDE IN THE MIST AFTER DARK, COULD NOT DETRACT FROM THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. EVERYONE OUTSIDE WAS LAUGHING AND TAKING IT ALL IN STRIDE. THE PEOPLE AT THE DESK WERE FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT, TWO QUALITIES NOT ALWAYS FOUND IN CONJUNCTION,. THE RESTAURANT AND […] BAR STAFF WERE SUPER. THE CLEANING STAFF WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND ASKING IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THEY COULD DO FOR YOU. OUR ROOM WAS OH SO COMFORTABLE AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. The hotel is good offering a good breakfast and providing a prompt service when needed. the location is outside glasgow but it was Ok for us as our final destination was outside glasgow.

I had expected the hotel to be of a quite good standard but was pleasantly surprised from arrival to departure. The check-in was smooth and friendly, the building itself was warm and welcoming with the roraing fire and comfy chairs. The room was clean, large and totally fine if not exceptional and the facilities were excellent and better thanI had hoped. Food was the best thing of all as we enjoyed fantastic food, service and wine in a confortable, relaxed environment. I didn't know what to expect from this hotel however, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was the nicest one I have stayed in and this was because of the doors that seperated the bedroom from the toilet and main door. It made it feel a lot more private. this was our first stay at the westerwood which was very relaxing. had lunch in the brassrie which was delicious, room was first class, liked to try out the golf course next time with my other half in the spa.

Nice hotel with facilities. Clean and no fuzz. Nice breakfast and a ok restaurant. The swimmingpool is for children. max depth 1.5 meter. Recomend it if you is on a buesiniss tripp in this area. A litle to long away from Glasgow.

Mycket prisvärt hotell. Ligger bra till med snabb access till motorväget utan att störas av vägbuller. Bra bas för att kunna ta turer åt diverse håll i södra/mellersta Skottland. Bra frukost om än lite lång kö till den varma maten på helgen.

(also for those who dont like a English breakfast)I travel a lot, and stay in a lot of hotels. an strongly recomment this hotel. Perfect rooms, good breakfast , clean.
