L'hôtel est idéalement bien placé proche du métro (au pied de l'hôtel), et à dix minutes d'un centre commercial. le problème est qu'il est mal insonorisé (autoroute 2X3 voies à proximité)

Tres bonnes impressions, le personnel est tres agreable, une mention speciale pour le monsieur qui nsous a recu a notre arrivee. Le seul bemol, c est le petit dejeuner qui est vraiment leger et pas varie !!!!

accueil au bas de l'immeuble parfait (voiturier, valet : souriants et prévenants). Ascenseur pour monter à la réception : l'hotel est situé sur le toit de l'immeuble ! Vue vers la ville depuis le lobby des ascenseurs ; jardins au milieu des corridors, piscine extérieure : le décor est plus qu'original et l'architecture intérieure interessante.Chambre "Executive" avec vue jardin, très propre et confortable (salle de bain un peu petite..). La catégorie "Exécutive" permet de bénéficier d'un accès sans frais à un salon réservé avec apéritif en soirée (hors alcool) et petit déjeuner copieux. Personnel d'une grande gentillesse. Très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Restaurant Verses - Cuisine contemporaine française. Petit-déjeuner et dîner tous les jours, déjeuner du lundi au vendredi. Aux beaux jours, les grandes fenêtres s'ouvrent sur la rue. Banquettes en courbe. Murs en briques et pierres, grands miroirs, boiseries et meubles en bois foncé. Cave à vin vitrée. Au déjeuner, vous pouvez commander de la tartare de saumon, un cocktail de crevettes grillées, une salade de homard, une salade de ton avec shichimi, un plat de pâtes spécial, du foie de veau grillé avec ragoût de champignons, du filet mignon Angus avec purée de pommes de terre truffée ou du saumon grillé. Le soir, vous avez du tian de homard, de la tartare de veau Angus, de l'entrecôte Angus aux haricots verts du Kenya, du poulet de canard avec du foie gras et réduction de myrtilles, risotto aux fruits de mer et poule de Guinée dorée aux miel et au cidre avec polenta aux herbes.
Méchant Boeuf - Ouvert le soir tous les jours. Bar-brasserie. Nouveau restaurant (été 2007). Décor rustique avec briques apparentes, fenêtre à tabatière et fontaine intérieure. Salle à manger, salon et bar (le bar peut accueillir jusqu'à 175 personnes).
Verses Sky - Ouvert par temps chaud. Terrasse en bois à deux étages sur le toit avec tables équipées de parasols et barbecue à gaz. Vue sur le Vieux-Port, le fleuve Saint-Laurent et la Basilique Notre-Dame. Au menu du dîner et du souper se trouvent le foie gras avec huîtres aux pêches caramélisées sur coquilles, les asperges gratinées, le confit de canard, la salade de homard, le bœuf braisé, le bifteck et le saumon.
Une piste de jogging et de vélo s'étendant le long du fleuve Saint-Laurent se trouve à un pâté de maisons; il est possible de louer des vélos, tout près, dans le Vieux-Montréal. Il est possible de faire du patin à glace sur le fleuve en hiver. Les clients de l'hôtel peuvent utiliser la piscine intérieure du YMCA, se trouvant à trois pâtés de maisons, moyennant un supplément.

"Needs a facelift"
I stayed in the Nelligan a few times about 8 years ago and loved the hotel. It had a cozy ambience and was not trying to be trendy like the St. Paul. But, I was very sad to return in Nov. 2012 to find it a bit tired and in need of a refresh. The comfortable, contemporary decor from 8+ years ago seems worn and dated. Fixtures were loose in the bathroom, […] lampshades yellowing, and the furniture feels circa 1996. Also, the compact fluorescent lighting has to go - especially in the bathroom. Guests should look and feel beautiful and pampered - and the green-hued down-lighting is probably the worst i've seen. Thank goodness the mattress was amazing, the sheets top quality and the staff welcoming. The location couldn't be better. If they updated their look and changed their lighting, I would recommend, but for the same price I think I will just opt for the design packages down the street or the Intercontinental. "Charming hotel located in old montreal"
This hotel is expensive, but beautiful none the less, located right in the heart of old Montreal. Paid parking is available around the corner and there is a restaurant/bar located in the lobby. The front desk was friendly and so was the room staff. The jacuzzi room was disappointing as it was a jetted tub that fit two people uncomfortably, rather than […] the L shaped jacuzzi in the HOTELS.com picture. The biggest negative is the horrible bed cover, which doesn't allow air to pass through, making us sweat all night. To an individual, the staff was friendly, accommodating and efficient. Every request we had was met with a friendly smile. When we arrived, before we had even noticed that hypoallergenic bedding was not on the bed, we received a call from the front desk, asking us if it was a convenient time to let the cleaning staff in to change the bedding. Sure, I could say that they forgot in the first place but that they caught their mistake and made an effort to correct it before I even noticed was impressive, to say the least. Wonderful location and ambiance. The Junior Suite with Jaccuzi was enormous with all the perks for a romantic weekend. The hotel staff was great at helping us find great local restaurants and accommodating our requests. The TV/Sound system accepts DVD's & CD's so be sure to bring your own movies/music. The room was very quiet and private - we didn't […] hear anyone! Only a couple of minor negatives - the bed was hard and would really benefit from a topper. Excellent staff, however the room was effective by street noise during the night and early morning. There were stains on the pillar of the room which needed to be cleaned.
