The Lazy Parrot Inn & Mini Resort - Rincón

Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour dans cet hotel. très bonne qualité/prix. Ànoter qu'une voiture est nécessaire car l'hotel est à environ 5 minutes de voiture de la plage et qu' une marche jusque là serait ardue.

We stayed in the old part of the hotel and the room was okay. Not bad. Very nice balconies. The bathrooms are not bad but could be cleaner with better toilets and showers. Pool was very good and the two restaurants -- the Rum Shack and the Lazy Parrot -- are two of the best restaurants we visited in Rincon. Breakfast was very simple but decent. Stayed here for a night and wish I could have stayed longer. You walk in thinking its a tiny place but it's not - there is a restaurant and poolside bar a pool and alot of sitting areas as you walk the grounds. You can tell they put alot of effort into keeping the outdoor area looking nice. You sort of feel like the inn was built around a garden. This was our first stay at the Lazy Parrot. We had stayed at other locations near RIncon, but this is by far the best. I do recommend that you spring for a room near the pool away from the road. They cost more, but it is well worth it in terms of low noise, a larger room, and a great view of the ocean in the distance.

We had a great stay at the Lazy Parrot during our 4-day trip to Rincon. The staff was kind enough to accommodate an early check-in on short notice due to our early arrival. All in all the hotel is relaxing, comfortable and pleasant. It was convenient to have good food options right there on the nights when we were too tired to explore the other parts […] of town. The room was basic but good. The water pressure of the shower was a little erratic, but it wasn't difficult too deal with. The continental breakfast isn't that great, but as I mentioned the restaurants served delicious meals for dinner. We'd definitely stay there again and I've already recommended the place to friends. The rooms, the hotel, the setting...It is beautiful! All you would want from a tropical hotel. The only disappointment was the jacuzzi was not working, and the pool was cold. Might be fixed now.

Room was clean, comfortable and well maintained! All of the hotel staff was friendly and helpful and really made our stay enjoyable! We will definitely go back! Great views and great food too!

From the road this place looks less appealing but once you get up the steps it expands into 10 wonderful old rooms which are clean and VERY economical, another building with larger rooms, a pool, restaurant, bar by the pool, gift shop, and even miniature golf. I really enjoyed this hotel. It is a bit secluded, but I like that. The only problem was the shower. Very little water pressure, a build up of calcium seemed to be the cause of that.

Not good for when you are traveling with seniors, It is more of a couples spot away from the ocean. Jaby the hostess and her husband were excellent. The breakfast nook with options was refreshing and enjoyable for such a unique small spot. The Bar & food were satisfactory and the people were great. Just a nice hideaway get a way.

Nice value if you are on a strict budget. Staff very helpful, however breakfast buffet needs major improvement. Good location

I have travelled extensively for almost 50 years. I was quite a surfer up to 38 years ago. I read the reviews about the Lazy Parrot closely before I made my reservations. The reviews are all well on target. I went with my son and we did a lot of father/son things on the beaches from Rincon to those north of Ramey Base (Borinquen/Aguadilla). We would […] come home exhausted. The pool at the Parrot and the bar scene were just what the doctor ordered. Read the other reviews for more on this. The rooms are great, with verandas opening into secluded gardens, each with a hammock if you want to sleep under the stars, which my son did at least once. The staff is fantastic. On the weekends lots of couples and some families come from San Juan. During the week, the local surfers gather round the Rum Shack bar and the atmosphere couldn't be better. This is a great hotel. My only reluctance is that if too many people hear about it and it gets growded, the ambiance could suffer. But, again, each room has its own secluded area so you can have the best of both worlds. The bar food is top notch, and the restaurant is excellent. The Parrot also carries an image with the locals that is very positive. I will stay here again whenever I go to Rincon, or anywhere near Rincon. Lisez la suite

Very nice place. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They do need new towels but the rooms are clean. Will be back again.

We had an excellent rate from Hotel.com, and we are a first time user, If you don't like hotels with a lot of people around this is the hotel for you. The rooms are clean and the continental breakfast includes everything you will have in an expensive hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

Had a very nice time at this little hotel. It is in the mountain close to the faro, by car. The views of the mountain and the ocean are stunning and very relaxing. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We definitely would be back trying different rooms.

Lazy Parrot is for those people who just want to enjoy the Rincon paradise and take their mind off their stressful lives for a while. If you are looking to relax this is a great hotel. The staff is very nice rooms are clean. The lazy parrot has very good food. I loved the hotel i would for sure stay there again. The beach is in town about a 10 minute drive is beautiful.

Lazy Parrot is in the quiet hills of Rincón, Puerto Rico. Rincón should not be a place tremendously attractive to international tourists except for one thing; It is probably the top surfing destination of the Carribean Region, with one or two world tournaments held in its beaches in years past. Thus, it attracts lots of surfing lovers from the contiental […] US and other places. For this market there are a lot of condos, inns, rental houses, small hotels and a couple of bigger hotels in the Rincón area. Thus, from the outset you should realize several basic things: This is a very quiet and laid back ward of one of the smallest and laid back towns of Puerto Rico, a tropical island, thus extremely hot and humid in summer. There are mosquitos, you get sticky wet with your own perspiration, English is not the language (although an English speaking person will not have any problem moving around in Puerto Rico), and honestly no ones cares about your constutional right not to be biten by a caribbean mosquito. If you are new to the tropics and you do not undersand these basic laws of nature, please do not come to Rincón, you will waste your money and actually you will probably give a biased input on what Lazy Parrot is or is not. If you are looking for a quiet place with the right price, decent service, a good restaurant, and a clean room, then Lazy Parrot is the place. If you are looking for a fancy place, then, L azy Parrot is not the place. Actually, this Inn outwards appereance is ordinary and can even give the impression that you did not arrive to the correct place. By the way we are a couple in our fifties that were looking for 3 nights simply to rest and enjoy a 5 ft deep small swimming pool. We got what we were looking for. Lisez la suite

We attended a wedding in Isabela on our check in date and couldn't make it to the hotel until very late. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to get in our room but were delighted to find that the staff had left our key for us in the lobby!! Major points for that! Our room was very clean. This place is in good shape, although is an old structure. Very well preserved.

My husband and I truely enjoyed our stay. From check in to check out. We will be going back soon. This inn is clean and peaceful. It should have a 5 star rating. Lydia & Jose

This was our 2nd trip to the Lazy Parrot. Consistent service, clean rooms, friendly staff, good restaturant and bar. Any time we're in Rincon, we'll try to stay at the Lazy Parrot -- great place!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is somewhat secluded, extremely clean, and the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. We were there in the off season so it was very quiet. The free breakfast was your usual Continental, but we had no complaints. The office closes early (5 pm I think), and we […] checked in very late so they left our key on a board outside of the office. We checked out before the office was open so we just left our key inside the room. The pool is lovely, the food in the restaurant is FANTASTIC (we had 3 meals there). This is a cute little place, but I wouldn't stay there again. The front desk is only open from 8:00-4:00 so you can't get help late or check out early. The biggest problem was that our room had no hot water. We couldn't get help the first night because the desk was closed and our second day the handyman came by and said that was normal for this room […] and there was nothing that he could do about it. When we eventually talked to the desk person she offered us a third night free the next time we came to stay, but I can't imagine why we would ever go back to a place with no hot water and no wifi in the rooms (there was supposed to be wifi, but it only worked by the pool) They think they are a mini resort, but only one of the restaurants was open and neither of them allow you to bill food to your room. So it's a cute enough place if they get there act together and realize that they are in a customer service industry. Stay somewhere else. Lisez la suite

We enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Parrot. The staff were friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the large movie screen showing surfing videos from nearby beaches a couple of days earlier.

Lazy Parrots is almost like a bed and breakfast than a traditional hotel to us...except that it comes with microwave and a fridge! This place is more like DIY hotel rather than expecting someone to service you...which is not bad considering the atmosphere. People get to do whatever they want with minimal ground rules.
