Travelodge Central Market St - San Francisco

Très mauvais quartier, trop bruyant, pas de sécurité.

Accueil vraiment pas agréable, localisation de l'hotel dans un coin pas top et draps aux fenêtres à la place des rideaux.

This place is terrible. Not only of the homeless picking through the garbage outside my room. Not only did the phone in thre room not work. They also swiped my card when I got there taking an addtional 138..plus dollars from my account. They said it was for calls, cars ect. I drove no car, no was I able to use the phone. These people should be ashamed […] of all the crap there. Not to mention more then one room had pitbulls in them. As a frequent and former resident of San Fransisco. I BOOK ROOM IN THIS HOTEEL AND WHEN I WENT TO CLAM MY ROOM THEY SAED DO NOT HAVE MY RESERVATION AND I HAVE TO WITH IN COLD WETHER AT NIGHT FOR ONE HOUR THE RESEN HE SAY THAT BECASE HE HAD 2 CASH CASTOMER THERE THEY DID NOT CHECK ME IN

We always would stay here, but over the years the quality of the rooms has gone down and down. While the prices keep going up. My last visit to this hotel was the straw that broke the camels back. Dirty. Windows did not securely lock (street facing windows and doors). I also did not like the fact that they took my credit card, and (1) ran it trhough the old-fashioned carbon copy credit card machin (not the type where the card is "swiped" through a slot and the magnetic strip read), and (2) made a second copy of both sides of my card using a […] scanner/printer/copier. Room was nice, it had tiled floors, looked like the room was newly painted, cable-tv, heater/ac unit, mini-fridge, microwave, and clean bathroom. The full-size beds were confortable, we combined both beds and all five of us slept confortably. The complimentary continental breakfast was nice for the price we paid. Looing for good location to City Beer Bar? Food trucks? Or Haight street? This is a good spot..Staff friendly and helpful...enjoyed the area and stay. Price very reasonable.

Public transit right out front. Wonderful historic hotel with a Starbucks in the lobby. Good security as it's right on the edge of a sometimes sketchy-feeling neighborhood but for the most part- it's FINE. Beautiful lobby, hallways, clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. And usually great rates.

It is a really nice place to stay if you don't care too much about noise. It's right on Market St and the layout of the hotel is like an amphitheater for the street. The noise echoes off the buildings. But, it's in a great location. Walking distance to Castro, Downtown, and even Union Square. If the price is right I would definitely stay again.

For what I paid, I guess it was okay. And I appreciate the cleanliness. It's just that the room with two double beds left very little room to walk around. Two people can not pass each other anywhere in the room. PS The additional parking fee may not be worthwhile. The room was dirty and the bed has bedbugs for sure. I was definitely bitten alot. It was so loud also. Walls are paper thin. But the best part, was the enormous pile of green snot on the sidewalk that was one foot from the door when I opened it to leave in the morning. The hotel it self was okay. The surrounding neighborhood was loud. The bar across the street played loud music until 3 or 4 in the morning. The hotel staff did nothing to quiet several guests who were outside their rooms smoking, drinking, and riding their skateboards through the parking lot until at least 4 am. My friend and I could of done without the construction noise on Sunday morning, but it was posted about remodeling prior to check in...walking distance to the Castro and Folsom st. Good place for SF Pride parade viewing or Folsom st fair (a little walk away). Parking is $10 a car but much better than other hotels in the area.

This hotel was good, it feels a little bit old, but still, clean and functional. An awesome feature: they include fridge and microwave, so you can actually store some cool soda there :D Safeway is like three blocks away, and a bunch of restaurants.

We requested to stay around Union Square. This hotel is approx. a 7-10 min streetcar/bus away. Although very clean, we were unfortunate to have very noisey neighbours above us therefore we did not have a restful stay. Our stay was pretty decent, because we booked online. But we showed up last minute in high tourist season, and watched the guy in front of us get absolutely handled for double the rate. Seemed kinda sketch.

I was not happy, one of the two rooms I reserved was tiny, there was an additional charge for parking, and the manager insisted on making a photo copy of my drivers license and of my credit/debit card "In case of damages to the room". This is an obvious security risk for me and could expose me to identity theft because everyone in that hotel now has […] access to all my personal information. I did no damages to these rooms, yet my credit/debit card was charged an unauthorized additional $20.00 per room after I left the hotel. Lisez la suite

The greetIng we got.. The sign on elevatir set the standard.. The sign warned of hazardous material causing harm.. We get in smelly room. The power strip was bolted to dresser & overloaded with all electronics--tv , heater , fan , fridge, micro , coffee pot.. The heater & tv power went out twice. Called down to office to report it the first time ; got […] no follow up call. It was uncomfortable cold ugly not welcoming & not deserving of recognition or to b advertised on this site. Comforters had cigerette holes in them. Found several hairs in bedding. Seedy bunch staying at hotel. NOT for Families!

The room was Ok. Cable did not work and the bathroom in the room reminded of one at a gas station. Night Staff were not really happy and it showed. Hotel does not have not enough parking for all its guests who may need cars. In short you don't really get what you pay for at this hotel.

Cold, dingy tile floors. Old TV. Wrinkly plastic shower liner, no curtain. Trim on doors beat up and ridiculously ghetto. Very Loud. High priced for old, dated, grimy room.

We weren't looking for anything fancy, just a place to rest our heads after a concert in the city. Upon checking in we leaened we were assigned to a smoking room and the staff was unable to switch the room. We ended up spending a good $20 on candles and air freshener just to make room tolerable. Also, this location is not the nicest neighborhood in […] town. Combine that with all the loiterers, I really didn't feel safe leaving my things in the room while we went to the concert, let alone our car in the parking lot. Last, we were woken up in the middle of the night to the sound of people yelling and pounding on doors. I have stayed at a Travelodge in Seattle, and it was quite nice. The hotel was clean and the price was good! The breakfast was fine to include cereal, pastry, coffee, orange juice and banana

I am not much of a picky guest, but if the hotel straight out lies about the bed you are staying in, then I'm not going to stay quiet about it. The place is in a good spot, for a decent price, but we got put in a room that felt super cramped... like it wasn't supposed to be a room but for the extra money they did it anyway. The bed was announced as […] a Delux king but it ended up being a full size mattress. The bathroom seemed like it was put together by amateurs... or someone who really didn't care. If you are just looking for price and location and don't care about customer service or quality... then it is a good place to crash at. If you care about feeling like a valued customer... Cheap place for your stay. If you can't sleep with noises then don't book this place. Thin walls, can hear people screaming on the streets and neighbors talking. Free parking (first come first serve). You get a parking pass so they won't tow your car. Don't mind staying here again.

Upon arrival desk clerk arguing with a customer over billing. Had to wait 15 minutes for it to be resolved. Then the clerk told us since we reserved through Hotels.com he wouldn't get the reservation for 3 hours. When he checked, our reservation was there! Up in our room for 15 minutes, lost all power. Called and was told they would get an engineer […] out. We got no response and decided to walk to lobby. This person knew nothing about the outage! He did resolve it though. At 7:15 a.m. the next morning renovation started with jack hammer in concrete for two hours. Needless to say we will never stay here again! Lisez la suite

I expected some mediocrity, but this was bad! The bathroom sink had standing water in it when we arrived. The shower didn't work - had to take a bath. And the live-in people next door were up all night, talking, smoking just outside our door. Was NOT worth the cheap parking or less expensive price to be downtown.

The hotel needs to do a better job in checking out the microwaves in the rooms. When I attempted to use the microwave it began sparking and a fire, flame ignited inside the microwave - very dangerous and a serious fire hazard! Also, I wanted to use the safe in the room and it was inoperable as the door lock would not allow you to set it and close it! I […] only recommend the hotel because of cost and convenience. I think a prostitute was killed early in the morning at this hotel. At 3am we were awaken by what sounded like two pimps about to fight. Later around 6 am we heard one of the pimps demanding money from the hooker, followed by hooker screams, crazy loud banging noises, door slams, and more prostitute screams. also the crackheads above us kept moving […] around the furniture around all night long... who does that? pretty much a dump, and should probably be cheaper. From the moment I checked in I was in hell. The room was not compatable for my basic needs of shower essentials, a chair with 4 legs, heat and soap. It was however equiped with a fridge, but had food left in it from the previous occupant. The motel is located across from a nightclub, very loud nightclub, also there were prostitutes. I was locked out […] of my room for an hour, because they had no spare key to enter the room and had to wait for a maitenance man from another motel to force his way in. Please do not stay here! Besides an unwanted call from the locals, place was clean, quiet enough due to its location and served its purposes for the time occupied. Price was more then fair for its mid town location.

Too much noise in night time. Hardly I slept all nights. Music, noise, couple having sex in next room you can here very clearly... and lots of other bad activities.

i checked in on the evening of March 19th to room 235? im very sure thats the room. i had stayed there a couple of years before and dont remember it being that bad. i booked a smoking room but in my years of traveling and being in and out of hotels have never had a room smell so bad. also there is a list on the Hotels.com website, for this hotel that […] says "All rooms include" air conditioning, cable TV, clock radio, hair dryer, PREMIUM TV channels AND WI-FI. when i got there i saw the " Air Conditioning" was a fan, there was NOT cable TV especially not PREMIUM channels, no clock radio so i could wake up in the morning, the hair dryer was broken, the wi fi did not work and after the 20th time of calling the front desk with no answer i got up went to ask what the problem and apparently there wasnt one. i did everything he said and still no wi fi! i wouldnt have minded no TV with working wi fi but both were just terrible! i am just really dissapointed because the amount i paid. i could have gotten something way better in the city with ALL the amenities that the website says ALL rooms include Lisez la suite

Yes, this Hotel had all the amenities one would expect - enough fluffy towels, soaps and shampoo, tv, microwave, frig...it. They had my reservations...this is a budget treasure right downtown. How great is that!

I was happy with the hotel. The staff especially Ginger was professional and helpful. The main problem I had was the room next to me had a jerk who was screaming and pounding on the walls at 3:35 am. I called the front desk and to no avail there was no answer. I addressed it the next morning and all they said wah "Oh!"

The location was convenient to what I needed to get to the following day & the price was reasonable. The staff was personable.

Please, please do not stay here. It is a microscopic step up from a roach motel. Stains on the sheets, disgusting bathroom, bed wouldn't even stay in one place and wasn't even up against the wall completely because of a giant power cord plugged into the wall. TV channels were all blurry. Surrounding neighborhood was really loud, people were constantly […] yelling at 2 in the morning on a Sunday night. It's across the street from a bar.
