"Paramount hotel just perfect"Avis d'un client Hotels.com envoyé le 9 févr. 2012

"Hotel The Beekman Tower à New York : spacieux"
"l'hotel de mon prochain séjour New Yorkais"

"Beekman Tower hotel - reasonable price & size room"
I was upgraded to a suite and it was pretty big - more like an old-fashioned one bedroom apartment than a traditional hotel suite. That was nice since I had a lot of work to do and could spread out. The whole place had more of a pre-war bldg feel than a hotel feel, incl the old (but charming) furniture and the (worn) carpet. I did not like that there […] was no inside lock or bold on the door (only the card-key lock). But the staff is friendly and the price was right. I don't normally like being so far on the east side, so it is not an ideal location for me. The room had a lovely view of the east river, though. Lisez la suite

"Great Location For First Time Visitors"
Pros: Hotel staff was all incredibly helpful, from front desk to the bellhops. Location was great- Walking distance to Times Square or just hop on the bus for a few minutes. Cons: Nearly impossible to get an early check-in but were willing to hold our bags for us. Room was clean but sofa sleeper was stained all over. With the price we paid one would […] think they'd be able to upgrade worn furniture every couple of years. Extra: It may not matter to some but there was a convenience store right across the street that stays open late! Lisez la suite
Great location and huge rooms for NYC with good beds. Love the Top of the Tower on the 26th floor for fantastic views of the City. Could not get good wireless reception in the east wing and the hotel furnishings are dated but fine. Good to have a little kitchen if you like being able to stop at the Deli.

"BEEKMAN TOWER HOTEL, close to all UN offices"
All was great, just a little disappointed by the fact that there was nothing to cook a little in the small kitchen. only one frying pan ! I had to ask for a kettle to boil water for my tea ! it would have been nice to have a simple pot and other accessories to be able to cook pasta or rice !
"Beekman Hotel NYC - Review"
Excellant location and convenient crosstown bus nearby to connect to all subways & major shopping area in midtown NYC -- Staff very courteous and rooftop breakfast & dinner available with majestic views of NY skyline.
"The Beekman in Manhattan - near United Nations"
We had never stayed on this side of Manhattan before and found the neighborhood to be charming. Its more residential than we're used to, and its a very nice residential. Our room was a suite and very spacious. It had a small kitchen, which we didn't use. Having separate rooms to sleep was perfect for our family of four. The staff was more courteous […] and kind than other NYC hotels. A trip to the top floor for the views is a must while staying here. This hotel is older and it shows. It doesn't compete with the fancy newer or remodeled hotels; however, the price is the same. It was comfortable, though. There is a parking garage in the same block if you don't want to use the hotel valet; however, its overpriced. We found out after the fact that we could have gotten validation from the hotel for a few dollars off, which doesn't make much difference. There are less expensive garages a few blocks away. Its a 15-20-min walk to Rockefeller Center, and practically next door to the United Nations. What would have made our stay better is a less expensive parking options made known to us. There are many nice places to eat in the area that are much less expensive than those in Times Square. We would stay here again if we could get a better rate. Lisez la suite
"HUGE rooms......"
If you are looking for space in the city, this is it! Huge space with a full kitchen. A trifle dated and worn in most areas but for the price/space you can overlook the flaws. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was quiet and a number of food offerings in the immediate walkable area. Definatly plan to make a return trip to the Beekman Tower.
"The Beekman Hotel"
Overall a good experience and loved the 26th floor views! Would suggest updating carpeting and couch, they are old and worn. I would stay again on business for location and good price point.
"Old hotel but good value for money"

"great little hotel, wonderful view from restaurant"
The Beekman is a bit worn around the edges but that makes it all the more classic in my view. My room was spacious for a mid-town hotel in this price range. the staff was nice and the restaurant on the top floor, with its terrific view of the East River and surrounds is a bonus.
"Will Never Stay Here Again!"
Photos look 10 million times better than what the actual rooms are in real life. It's like an old apartment building turned hotel but not done well at all. We had a Queen Suite with a pull out sofa bed. Might as well have slept on the floor because that would've been more comfortable than the springs from the mattress in my back. I was even taking sleep […] medication because of a cough that I have and couldn't go to sleep still!!! Location was okay but I will never stay here again. When I tried to get some help with the sofa bed the lady wanted to charge me $45 a night for a rollaway bed!!! How rude and inconsiderate! I thought customer service was the most important thing in hotels! Not at this one! They will lose my business from now until forever! Lisez la suite
"great location and friendly staff"
We recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be in a great location and the staff were very friendly. The building is older, but that adds to the charm.
restaurant is great!
"good sized room"
good location relatively close to subway and near the un. room was very large. fold out bed serviceable. apt could use upgrades but all in all good value for the money
"Large room old world Comforts"
Room is old world with no flat screen TV, and a need of serious remodel. Room is super large with windows in every room and bedroom. I had a living room, dining area, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Can not beat the price, but it was very clean and very large. This was a room on the 9th floor.
"beekman tower new york - poor example"
The Beekman is well situated in manhatten, close to UN HQ, and about a 20min walk to Time square. Also convinient for tour buses, pick up at Waldorf hotel (ten min walk). Staff were great and helpful with local info. The room was very big but decor and furnature was old and frayed. Air con did not work properly (cold or cold), no spare blankets, only […] one very light one on bed. Requested more off room service, never arrived. Bottom line, only there for three days, slept badly.... Lisez la suite
"Pointing work"
NYC buildings are required to have bricks checked acne repaired regularly. That grinding and pounding work was going on outside my room. Dust actually came through the windows and was all over the desk area. Rooms are huge with full kitchens (bigger than my first NYC apt). Clean generally but old. And then there was the dust... S just 2 stars.
"One Night in NY"
My 9 year old grandson and I stayed at the Beekman Tower Hotel the day before leaving on our cruise. The staff were very friendly and accomodating to all our needs. As we had arrived at 8:30 in the morning and had a full day planned they kept our luggage and were very helpful with directions and places to go. We arrived back at 8:00 at night and were […] pleasantly surprised with our suite. We ate in the restaurant which was one of the highlights of our day.. the fabulous food and view was spectacular. They made a special request meal for my grandson which was appreciated by both of us. The staff made us feel like family. Lisez la suite
Very outdated! Nothing like the pictures online.
"BedBugs & Razors"
First let me start by pointing out that i reserved a one bedroom suite Sept/2011...... This one bedroom was not actually in the hotel, but it was in the building next door to the hotel that was owned by them. It was very dark and gloomy very outdated, dusty and scary. when i walked in i told the door man it felt as if someone died in the room and i […] was uneasy, his reply was "possibly, it did used to be an apartment building". I changed my clothes and left to spend the night at a friends place. The next day i returned to get a change of clothing and met up with friends and stayed the night at my cousins very small apartment. i did this for the next few days, only going there to change and do my hair. I found a disgusting amount of dust, hair and used razors between the sink and shower when i dropped my eyeliner in the bathroom. Yuck!! On the last night i was there later then normal (almost slept there this night) and found BEDBUGS in the bedroom and bathroom!! My friend came over and helped me shake out all my luggage before leaving checking out early and never going back EVER!! i am so glad i never slept or showered there, and unfortunately i spent the entire next day doing laundry.... I dont know what the main hotel/tower is like, maybe better - maybe not, ill never know. Lisez la suite
"Great hotel for the price"
I booked this room for one night as part of a one-year anniversary celebration, and it served its purpose perfectly. The room was huge (especially by NYC standards) and relatively clean (although the furniture was a bit dingy, with some small stains here and there). There was a full kitchen with microwave, stovetops, sink, and a full-sized fridge, so […] this hotel would be great for a long-term stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean! Steps away from the UN building. No nearby subway access but the M15 Select bus running up 1st Ave and down 2nd Ave is quick and reliable. An overall great experience. Don't expect a 100% modern hotel with flat screen TVs, but it had an elderly, European charm to it. Lisez la suite
"Make sure you get the main building"
We booked the room based on other reviews and pictures of the place. We weren't aware that there is a separate building next to the main tower that they stuck us in that weren't in the pictures. We had to leave the main building, walk outside and go in a building where the hallways are about 4 feet wide. The room was very outdated, there were holes […] in the closet, the scaffolding blocked any view outside the window and we didn't have a comforter, just a couple of sheets. The carpets were pretty old so we walked in the room with our shoes on. The towels smelled and our pillowcase had holes in it. They also booked the room to someone else and someone walked into our room 6 in the morning and scaring my girlfriend. Lisez la suite

An old massive and impersonal hotel with outdated furniture. I did not even dare to try the restaurant as the appearance of the rest was so abandoned. Too much money paid for too little comfort.
"Check in must be at 3pm-- too bad."
Carpet is very deity.
"The Beekman Tower Hotel - What a pleasant surprise"
The location was perfect! Located in more of a residential neighborhood, it was only a few minutes walk and you're right in the thick of things (midtown). There was a huge selection of restaurants within a few blocks. The room in itself was pleasingly spacious, though the furnishings were a bit old and outdated... Who cares? It was a safe neighborhood […] and the staff was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely stay here again! Lisez la suite
"Beekman Tower Hotel - convenient and comfortable"
I highly recommend the Beekman Tower Hotel in New York. The location is great and it offers a lot for its price!
"nothing fancy but comfortable and well situated"
Room a bit worn looking but everything was adequate. Nice to have kitcheonette for bkfast and leftovers. Hassle free checkin and checkout, housekeeping fine. Brought sheets for sofa bed while we were out without needing to ask. 2 streets and 3 avenues from nearest subway, so best for people who don't mind walking or taking cabs. Neighborhood pleasant, […] with nearby playground. Tell cabbie 49th St and 1st Ave to avoid extra fare while cabbie looks for Mitchell place. Lisez la suite
"A nice place to stay!"
This hotel is within walking distance to Times Square, Central Park, and other attractions, but not so close that the streets are noisy and crowded. It's just off FDR drive - next to the U.N. buildings, and surprisingly easy to drive to. We stayed in a suite so that our kids could sleep on the fold-out sofa, and it was great. The kitchen was more than […] adequate - a full kitchen. One small challenge was that the only bathroom was off the bedroom, but that's not a huge problem for most people. I would definitely stay at the Beekman Tower Hotel again. Lisez la suite
