Hampton Inn New York Chelsea - New York

The room is bigger than our imagination. The bed is very cosy. Lots of Korean restaraunts are nearby, just 10 minutes away by walk. They have no international adapters in the hotel, and the reception clerks were not very helpful.

Great location, minutes walk to 2 subway stops. Breakfast free & nice. P.M. coffee, tea, hot chocolate & cookies - nice. Very clean. Good size room for NYC at a great price.

During their off seasons, this hotel has some pretty amazing rates and the hotel includes free hot breakfast and WiFi! The location was absolutely perfect for my needs--close to subway and bus lines, yet just off the major thoroughfares (keeping street noise to a minimum for a restful night's sleep). Very convenient to the places we were looking to go go. The price was one of the most reasonable in the city, especially for a Friday night. We will be back at the same time next year.

We wanted our first trip to New York to be during Christmas. This is a very expensive time of year to find a hotel but of all the expensive rates, this was the lowest rate in a quality hotel we've come to love. This could be THE best value in NY. The room was spacious (for Manhattan), the bed was comfortable, the internet access in the room was easy and FREE, the staff was courteous. Not only was everything walkable to my hotel such as restaurants, banking, Verizon, David Barton Gym and all fun Chelsea has to offer without having to drop $20-30 daily cabbing. The breakfast was at least $10-15 what would cost at a local diner and the staff was exceptional.

What a great value for NYC! My girlfriends were quite happy with the location and cleanliness of the rooms---too bad parking is so expensive in the city.

The rooms although small for 4 of us on 2 queen beds were very comfortable & immaculately cleaned every day. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room but there wouldn't be space and there is ice available downstairs as well as washing machine and tumble dryer which is handy if you don't want to pay for hotel rates for washing and ironing. […] A very decent breakfast available until 10am although a little crammed over the busy New Years week when everyone is having a late breakfast. Loved this hotel. Room was very clean. While the room was smaller than we would have liked it to be you can't beat the price and the fact that it's in the city I was able to overlook the size of the room. The view was awesome. The Hampton Inn Chelsea proved a welcome oasis from the midtown madness, but within easy walking distance to those activities. The front desk help was friendly, courteous and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean if a tad tight (apparently a midtown specialty), particularly in the bathroom. The main attraction was there were queen beds (again, […] very clean, with no bedbugs), which comfortably allowed three of us to stay over. And the breakfast was very satisfying, with waffles, oatmeal, cheese omelettes (actually kind of like McDonalds) and sausage. Great location -- right near the subway, Whole Foods supermarket, drug stores, restaurants, etc. Nice bed, nice TV, nice front desk staff. HOWEVER...I mistakenly left my phone charger behind, which the housekeeping staff apparently threw away even though they are supposed to turn it into lost and found. Wonderful experience. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean room and hotel. Very conveniently located. Would certainly stay here again.

My wife and 14 year old daughter and friend all enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good, clean rooms and firm beds. Immediate neighbor hood appeared a bit rough but we are not from the "big city". We will recommend to our friends

The complimentary breakfast is as good as any I have seen, and although it is busy, there is always ample room to sit. The front desk staff is friendly and was helpful in arranging my airport transportation. Two computers are provided in the lobby for picking up e-mail and printing boarding passes. I was extremely happy with my stay at the Hampton Inn. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. For being in the city, and next to the street the room was quiet and I got great sleep. The breakfast had great options... and there was tea/coffee all day long. A nice treat. The only semi-complaint was the Fitness Room, where the equipment was probably […] 10 years old. We wanted to stay in a quiet area but not be too far from the city. This was so quiet and the beds were great. The subway is right arond the corner.Nice restaurants within walking distance as well. We felt very safe even when walking back at night. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again.

Located in nice quiet neighborhood yet easy access to shopping and restaurants. We walked 7 short blocks to our train at Penn Station... public transportation was quick and easy. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Our TV remote had a bad battery and was replaced in 5 minutes. Right next to subway station so very convenient to travel to other neighborhoods (15/25 minutes to all major surrounding areas - battery park to central park) all the front desk and bellhops were courteous and helpful. although i did see a frustrated older lady and mgr getting into it for some reason unclear. but whatever the case, good/loyal customers […] should always be right. since one bad review can ruin it. free breakfast and internet. who can ask for anything more! newly renovated rooms, a little cramped with a lot of furniture in room (2 QUEEN beds though) and enough space to put luggage and clothes. stayed 4 nights and it was perfect. could use a new showerhead though as all other things in room were updated. also the faucet knob would hit the glass vanity (could break it). other than that, i was very impressed with the hotel and will stay at this location when i visit NYC again! The Chelsea Hampton Inn proved to be a great value. The hotel was clean, the service efficient and friendly. And what a great breakfast they served!! Th location was very convenient with public transportation just a short walk away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I plan on staying there anytime I'm in Manhattan.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. very good value compared to other hotels in the area. service was excellent, rooms were clean and tidy, convenient location, free wireless and free breakfast!

Really nice hotel. The staff were helpful, and it was a nice bonus to have the Wifi. It is conveniently located inbetween two Subway stations. Breakfast is good, but get there early as the breakfast area is not huge, and can get very busy if you go a bit later. The beds are really comfortable as well!

Excellent value for money

Complimentary (and rather generous) breakfast, free wifi in room, and a decently sized and appointed room - really great deal for location - absolutely recommend.

Room was great and surprisingly quiet for New York. Also really liked the free breakfast. Service was great. Only 1 block from subway too.

Great location, clean and modern looking hotel. I had booked a double queen and the last double room was taken by the guest ahead of me. The manager without hesitation booked me two single rooms which was greatly appreciated!
