Econo Lodge College Station - College Station

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that the location is close to A&M campus. When we arrived there was no one in the office to check us in, it was close to 30 mins. before the clerk came back. During that wait another hotel guest came in with a problem that their bathroom door was closed and locked. With 4 girls staying in that room that was […] a really big problem. So we were both waiting and waiting, finally I had my spouse go to their room to see if we could help. After that another group came in and had to wait too. I can't say the clerk wasn't doing his job because when he came in he was sweating and somewhat overwhelmed. We had 4 in our room but only had 3 towels. The beds were fine but the carpet was dirty enough to turn the bottom of my feet brown after getting out of the shower and walking around while getting dressed. Overall the hotel isn't bad it just needs some basic real cleaning and maintenance and more staff in the evening . Not awful, not great - If you are staying overnight don't expect too much. The Hotel was great the only problem was the rude people that were up till 1 in the morning both nights.

Our hotel stay was ok. The location was very convenient for the purpose of our trip which was to visit Texas A&M. But the traffic noise was very loud in our room. I would recommend earplugs. The beds were also pretty soft, not good for bad backs. The hotel room was clean. Breakfast was continental style, doughnuts, cereal, apples, oranges, coffee, juice […] and milk. They did have waffles and oatmeal that you could fix yourself if you wanted something hot. Service was friendly. For the price, I think I would take my chances and try another hotel next time. Generally a good stay for the price. The staff was very friendly. The main complaint was that the heater made a terrible smell when we turned it on. We quickly shut it off and never turned it on again. Luckily the weather was not bitter cold. We're guessing that the heater needs to be cleaned.

This is my second stay in econolodge. the first stay was better due to the location of the room. The second floor room was better than the first floor (the recent stay). The room is not too big but there is refrigerator and microwave which is very useful for longer stays. There are many nice restaurants across the street which is a plus. there is no […] airport shuttle, I wish they could provide a shuttle because it costs almost 17 dollars to the Easterwood airport only 5 min drive. The bath tub looked like it had been painted. It was flaking off. We were told it would have a hot breakfast, it did not.

Worn out mattress and leaky plumbing.

The hotel staff is helpful, the rooms are clean. However, the plumbing fixtures in bathrooms are very old. I doubt that the management has tried to take a shower in the bathtubs. It is difficult to stand in the shower. The toilets are very low to the floor. We have stayed at this moted three times but will probably choose a different one when in College […] Station. It was centrally located to everything. Bed could had been more comfortable, but it was ok. I would think they would had served breakfast till check out, but thats just me. The did offer quite a bit more than the average complimentary breakfast.

Older motel but clean and well kept. Location between 2 restaurants was convenient.

A/C malfunctioned. Impossible to bring it down to under 76 degrees, otherwise would not work TV remote did not work sheet did not cover side of matresss, mattress exposed Filthy bathroom, baseboards loose throughout phone kept ringing throughout the night, nobody answered Generally poor maintenance throughout the hotel

Worn out bed, carpet, and needs a general remodel of the room. It was clean, but that is the only good thing about the room. Will not stay there ever again.

This hotel was very close to the Hilton convention center where I was attending a conference. The hotel was much better than I expected. It was clean and there was no disturbing noise at night. It might be due to the fact that I stayed at the middle of the week. The free breakfast worked very well! Surrounding area has lots of dining options. this location is set in the middle of what some may consider restaurant row. great location, very comfortable, courteous staff. will recommend it to others and will definately stay there again on any return trips to Aggie Land

I want to tell you that I read all the bad reviews of this place after I had made my reservations and was horrified before I got there. So much so that I took my own blankets and pillows to sleep on and boy what a suprise I had when I got there. This was a great place, very clean, very friendly staff. they never cleaned the room! we stayed 2 nights and after returning from a long day it was very unpleasant to return to a dirty room with no clean towels or anything. we could not even get the front desk to bring clean towels...had to go get them ourselves.

The staff at the hotel is very good and had all of the rooms ready for an early arrival and early check-in. While the hotel is a bit older than others in the area, it is clean, priced right, and the location is perfect for attending an Aggie football game.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, but this one took the prize. Upon first walking into my room, I was hit by a horrible stink so I did the logical thing and requested a different room. Well at about 1130 and again 1200 at night the front desk called to say that I was in the wrong room asked why I was in there. Really? Twice?

The hotel looked bright red and new from the street, but that was the only clean thing about the hotel. There was a trash on the ground in front of and next to the ice machine. We checked in around 4pm and it was still there when we left at 7am the next morning. There were stains and hair (pet) on the bedspreads and sheets. We had some sleeping bags […] and blankets in the car which we used instead of their sheets. There was either human or dog nail clippings on the carpet along with pet hair. We kept our flipflops on all the time. The hotel allows pets. There was a spider in the bathtub. The room had a mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The refrigerator came in handy. Hotel is well situated near College Station campus and lots of restaurants, shopping. However, its pool is miniscule for the Texas heat (last week consistently over 100)and the continental breakfast is barely average. We had a very pleasant stay at this motel.

Never would have expected such a clean and friendly-staffed place for the money. The AC was awesome in the Texas heat, and the staff was courtious and very friendly.
