I didn't expect this hotel to be so beautiful for the bargain price. Very impressed.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our one night stay. Front desk was helpful with directions and nearby attractions.

My kids and I throughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel was conviently located right off Hwy 101. Bar and restaurant were nice, and staff was pleasant. Not far from Santa Barbara. Will definitely stay again.

This place was great. The courtyard was very pretty and well kept. I would definitely recomend

We had just come from the Best Western Plus in San Simeon, and chose this hotel because of that EXCELLENT experience. This hotel was VERY scaled down for the money...the bare necessities, no mini bar, clean enough, but costly for what you get. It does not rate the Plus being attached to its name.

One of the most beautiful BW I have stayed in. Would recommend to anyone

For the most part this was a great stay. But I have 2 main complaints. One is the "free" WiFi was extremely slow. I needed to load up some web pages and it would timeout before finishing loading. I had to connect remotely to my home PC to get the pages to finish loading. The second complaint is that the restaurant was closed but they offered free continental […] breakfast. Only toast, cereal, danishes, juice, milk, and coffee. This was nice, but they did not allow you to take it with you. You were required to eat it on the spot. Did not understand this policy. this hotel was beautiful rooms were clean and the out side grounds were well taken care of. The staff on the other hand was rude there fire alarm went off at 5 am and know one came down the halls to let you know that it was a false alarm I finally called the front desk to find out what was going on and she shrug ed it off no apologies were given. I […] also had for gotten my PJ's there and called told them what happen told them what room I was in where they would be {note: called them in 4 hours after leaving the hotel} they seem to be unable to fined them and I would never get a phone call from the I was the one who always called them the would never return my phone calls Lisez la suite

hotel was nice, clean and quiet. It is fairly close to the downtown area and beach (maybe 1/2 mile). Can't beat the price.

The hotel itself is so pretty on the outside and the courtyard is awesome. We did have a few issues though: our tub didn't drain, our blanket was dirty when we first got in and there was a big wad of hair on the shower curtain. We didn't get in until late so they said there was no one there to help so they gave my husband sheets to make the bed. It […] just made me feel unclean. After all that we got our money back for that night and they sure kept our room clean. I also didn't realize that it is only 15 minutes from Santa Barbara but its more like 40 in tragic. It was in awesome proximity to the beach and town. So overall not too bad, just a bad cleaning day on the first night. Also the pool and hot tub are tiny and the breakfast is cereal and white bread. Given the favorable comments posted by others about the quality of the breakfast, it would have been nice of the hotel had warned everyone that the breakfast chef was not working on New Year's past weekend and the breakfast offered would be the kind of prepackaged fare one might pick up at a 24 hour convenience store. Telling everyone that they could […] not remove any of the food from the eating area except their coffee cups seemed a bit tacky, especially since everyone had to give their name and room number when they entered. But it is a very nice facility, the staff was consistently courteous and attentive, the hotel itself was meticulously maintained, spotlessly clean and quite pleasantly decorated, and the price was right. We were given a room on on the first floor, which was too noisy even after 11pm. The hotel seemed to be too old as the window panes would start vibrating anytime someone walks in the corridor. The walls/ceiling seemed to be too thin as you could hear the noise of shower, wash basin water tap, someone talking in the neighboring rooms, etc.

I kind of hate to ding them because they were trying to fill a need. However, it could have been better thought out. There was practically nothing to eat! They had bagels on the first day but by our last day they were putting out bread and cereal. No fruit, a little juice. It was very disappointing. Otherwise our stay was very nice.

The walls are very thin and the room is to small. The tv sucks and so did the iron. I will not stay there again.

Overall, it's a great hotel. One issue is that the shower head does not work properly, and the TV is too old.

Decent hotel, very clean, great value for the price.

We stayed in best western inn carpinteria for three days. We found this to be the most reasonablly priced hotel in that area. The room was very clean. Beds are cozy.They have a restaurant & bar inside the hotel & its good too.The neighborhood is quiet & peaceful. The beach is kind of walkable distance. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel right off the freeway, very clean and comfortable

booked online based on prior reviews; was not disappointed. Couldn't find anything to complain about, especially after being on the road for almost a week, and staying in other properties (equally nice). Price was great, staff very nice and accomodating.

The Best Western Plus Carpenteria Inn is just a few miles south of the pricey Santa Barbara area in a quiet neighborhood for about half the price of motels in Santa Barbara proper. There's even a little restaurant and bar if you don't feel like driving. Our room was large and clean, with complimentary coffee and tea as well as free wifi. Only complaint […] is that we were placed in a room at the back that overlooked the freeway, which they said was the only room ready for occupancy (at 4 p.m.). Very nice and affordable when you have 3 kids like we do and want something less expensive but still safe.

The Best Western in Carpinteria is a wonderful alternative to staying in Santa Barbara. It's 10 minutes (6-8 miles) away on the 101 Freeway to all the opportunities for sight seeing, shopping and restaurants that located in in SB. Meanwhile, Carpinteria is a lovely little town itself, worth some time to wander around the charming downtown and enjoy […] the beautiful beach as well. The Best Western is easy access off the freeway. It is well maintained and comfortable with all the amenities you'd imagine of a mid-priced motel. BTW, It was 1/2 the price of any of the Santa Barbara hotels for the Thanksgiving weekend. Keep in mind, this is a Best Western motel, not a Four Seasons hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was clean.

the door key stuck, the hot water ran out, the bed had dust on the blankets. It is an older hotel and very noisy on the highway side. the pool is out side even though it's heated. the doors are heavy and hard for handicapped access. It was hard to get supplies like coffee for the coffee maker. We won't stay here again. Motel 6 looked nicer and closer […] to Santa Barbara. Lisez la suite

Went away for the weekend. Nice hotel near everything in Carp. The beds were wonderful, hotel very neat and clean.

The only (minor) problem I that the key was very finicky. Other than that, I couldn't ask for more. Great room, great price. I'll be back.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. The bed was extremely comfortable for a hotel bed. However, I'd recommend getting a room on the third floor. We were on the ground floor and could really hear the people above walking around. But that was the only thing my husband and I would have changed. Not sure if this is one of those that I would say was worth the money saved. Thank goodness my girlfriend was understanding, but the room was just way to small. For an overnight where you don't bring your bags in great stay, bed was VERY comfortable, but to be based out of it was a mistake. On our drive down the PCH from San Francisco to San Diego, we wanted to stop in Santa Barbara but not have to deal with the city traffic. What a find, using Hotels.com, Best Western in Carpinteria. Very clean, comfortable. Beautiful gardens and fountains. Loved the inner courtyard. Well-stocked vending machines. Friendly, accommodating staff. Good location close to tourist sites, and easy access to the freeway. Nobody creeping around the parking lot/neighborhood at night, which is nice. All-around great place to stay.

Great room for the price. This is the place the locals put up their out of town visitors. It is 3 floors--we had a 1st floor room with a small patio--ask for those rooms. Room was very comfy, common areas well kept, free wireless, restaurant was okay, people were helpful. There were a few small maintainance issues--nothing big. I will go back again […] . Older hotel. Ok location. Good price for Monterey.

This Best Western hotel is very conveniently located about 20 km south from Santa Barbara, 5 minutes from a large, clean Pacific beach. However, what makes it so superb is the building itself, its gardens and grounds alltogether. It is the perfect luxury oasis of palm trees and flowers - beautiful at night and by day. The only problem we had was key failure

The pool and spa are very small but adequate. Spa is fine for small people. This hotel used to have a free breakfast but no longer does. However, the hotel restaurant food and menu were very good and prices were average. Even though the hotel is near the freeway, the rooms are quiet. This is our second stay here and not our last.
