Mis à part la situation géographique de l'hôtel, l'ensemble de la prestation n'est vraiment pas terrible. Les chambre donnent soit sur un mur qui est à 10 cm de votre fenêtre soit sur une cours intérieure rempli de tuyaux et gaines techniques plus ou moins bruyantes. Hotel très propre proche du centre historique Excellent accueil A recommander

Hôtel très agréable te très bien placé. Très propre. Equipe à l'accueil vraiment sympa. Petit déjeuner complet et bien. Seul petit point négatif : l'insonorisation des chambres avec le couloir pourrait être meilleure, mais cela reste très supportable.

Nous étions 4 ( 2 adultes et 2 enfants ) pour un séjour de 4 jours. L'hotel est vraiment bien situé. L'hotel est à 10 minutes de la gare Santa Maria Novella à pieds et 10 minutes du centre de la Ville. Il est situé dans une petite ruelle, avec quelques restaurants aux alentours ( eviter certains, pièges à touristes) vous en trouverez des plus agréables […] dans le centre ville. Le personnel est trés agréable, certains se débrouillent en francais. La literie est bonne et la chambre propre. Internet gratuit. hôtel très bien situé dans le centre de florence à deux pas du centre historique et de la gare principale.Accueil très chaleureux et efficace.Les chambres sont très confortables et propres,on y dort paisiblement à l'abri du bruit.je recommande vraiment cet hôtel et j y retournerai sans hésitation pour une prochaine fois.

Hotel reception speaks very good English and is very helpful in many ways. If you can read the Map well, you will find that its location is actually less than a 5 mins walk from the train station! and it is just right next to the dunomo. Nice convinent local, just cross and turn right and the station is there, turn left and its a 2 min walk to the centre of Florence. Staff were very friendly recommended a few bars and restaurants. Reasonable price and great service.

Hotel is close to train station and central market. There's few stairs but if you have luggages then you can tell the friendly staffs and they are more than willing to carry the luggages for you. Room is clean but a bit small, breakfast is tasty.

The Globus hotel is good if you are only in Florence for a night, maximum two nights. It's very centrally located, walking distance to the Duomo and all the shops. The lift is very funny, as you have to keep your finger on the required floor button or it stops moving. Rooms are a tad small as well. Stayed at this hotel while attending a conference in Florence. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. Overall a nice hotel for the price, clean, breakfast included and well located close to the Duomo. My room (104) was a little small and dealing with the shower was pain as the flimsy shower curtain kept blowing into the bath […] and wrapping around me because it was too short. Economy double room is tiny, and the hotel is in great need of a renovation.

Comparing to the hotel my friends stayed in, this one was much nicer. The location is great and the room was good enough (nothing fancy). The staff was very picky about having a friend come up to use the bathroom, but they explained that there is some law about recording who goes into a hotel in Italy. My friend's hotel was equally weird about it.

I was pleasantly surprised at the room we were offered and at the quality of the staff service. The furniture of the room was new, the hotel was clean and the staff was always very helpful (which is hard to find in Italy). Besides, the hotel is close to the Train Station and also to the Dome. Globus is conveniently located, a short walk from the Duomo, right next to San Lorenzo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast (pastries, cheese, ham) with very good coffee. We stayed here for 2 nights on 18/19 August 2011. The hotel is in an excellent location, about 5-10 min walk from the central train station, Duomo and Accademia Gallery and meters away from San Lorenzo market. The room was an average size with a small bathroom, but otherwise clean and tidy. Breakfast was good - great coffee, croissants with spread and […] ham and cheese, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful with directions for getting to the sights, finding nearby supermarkets and recommending places to eat it. The elevator was old, small and slow, so we usually took the stairs instead. If you don't like walking up and down stairs then this hotel may not be the right choice for you. Very friendly, helpful staff. Suggested several restaurants that were good and budget-friendly. ZaZa's, a few minutes walk from hotel was amazing. Best dinner we had during our 3 week Italy, England vacation! The room was comfortable but did have a funky smell upon entering. A laptop was provided in the room which was great. This was the only hotel […] that provided one in the room. The location was perfect. Within minutes walk to Duomo, markets, etc. Also, a laundromat was right around the corner which was very handy as hotels would charge 8 euros to clean one shirt. This hotel is just perfect. It's located in the san lorenzo market, close to everything! Clean room and great beds. Dont expect a big room, it's small but cozy. The breakfast was also great, good italian coffee. I will go back on my next trip!

This hotel is localized very near the San Lorenzo Market and Basilica and at walking distrance from Santa Maria Novella train Station, il Duomo and most of the atractions of the city... Even though the staff was very nice and helpful at the front desk, some few thing were missing from our luggage.... The breakfast every morning was very nice and coffe […] and hot chocolate made at the moment.... There was a very strong sewer smell in our room that was almost unbearable... and we stayed at the third floor. Our friends were staying at the second floor and had the same problem. Lisez la suite

On the whole, a fairly good experience. All the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. A good location, very central. A great shame about the noise factor. The walls seem to be paper thin, and every sound can be heard between rooms and corridors.

Excellent location within 5 mins walk to the station and the market. Quiet inner room and comfy bed. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. This is a really great place to stay. The service is ubelievable friendly, welcoming, helpful and the location is great- walking distance to everythign you'd want to see in Florence.

Hotel Globus is situated in a small street, adjacent to the huge flea market in the Piazza. The room had a slight sewer smell, as do many of the small streets in the old town section of Florence. Air conditioning was not on when we arrived, and had to be reset when we returned in the afternoons/evenings. Great hotel, great location. Only issue: first floor/lobby sewage smell. Our room was on the first floor near the lobby, and there was a slight sewage smell coming from somewhere - maybe the public toilet. Unfortunately, with older Italian sewage systems, it's something that isn't always easily fixed. Other than that, the hotel was perfect.

A friend and I stayed at the Globus for two nights in July 2010. I arrived first, very tired from the heat and the schlep, and was a little daunted to see I had to climb a flight of stairs with my bag to get to the hotel. Presto, the desk clerk appeared to carry my bag up for me; he'd seen me on their CCTV and come down to help. This is typical of the […] friendly attitude of the staff, who seemed to speak every European language. My room was small but nicely furnished. The AC didn't work at first, but the clerk fixed it. There's an elevator, by the way, from the second floor (or first floor, by European count) to the higher floors. The location was great; walking distance from the train station, and steps from the leather market, the Mercato (food market), the Medici Chapel, and (a little further) the Duomo. All staff were very helpful and seem to take pride in good service! All spoke English well and worked hard to be understood by us. Breakfast was diverse and plentiful. Recommend the Hotel Globus without reservation.

Nice, small hotel with great service. They seemed to make a point of being helpful in any way they could. Was nearain station but the neigborhood was better than in most cities near the train station. Their were stairs at the entrance but the staff was more than happy to carry the bags up. This is a terrible hotel, not even a hotel, may be can be clasified as a uncomfartable and inconvenient hostel

I do not understand how come this place is a 3 star hotel, you enter to a tiny narrow building and climb stairs to find the reception and rooms are the smallest possible on earth, you cant move in it (2 meters by 5 meters including bathroom), beds are squeeking, very restless and small, walls are paper thin, neigborhood is very ugly and noisy, it was […] our worst experience during our 7 weeks trip around US and Europe. The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast and the italian guy at his 50s making the coffee :) it was the best american cofee I had in Europe. We stayed in this Hotel as part of a short visit to Florence with two of our children who are in their twenties. It was a short walk to the hotel from the Train/Bus station. Perfect! Up a flight of stairs then access to other floors was by a slow, but handy elevator. Free coffee and tea in the Reception area which was very welcome. Pleasant ,helpful […] receptionists. Clean, comfortable, small rooms with air conditioning. Sometimes had to wait a short while to get a table at breakfast as there were not enough tables for the number of guests. Breakfast was choice of cereals, toast/croissants, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, cold meat, cheese etc. Would definitely recommend for a comfortable short stay with very easy walking access to the main tourist sights. The central location of this hotel is great. The two main reception staff were really friendly. Breakfast was good - croissants, cereal, toast, meat, fruit - all available each morning. Quite a small room; but with a good sized en-suite. Great housekeeping staff, did a good job each day.

This was a delightful perfect experience. The room was comfortable,spotlessly clean and cool in the midst of relentless July heat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the price was a bargain in a city where everything else was more expensive than in the US. There were a wide range of breakfast choices included in the price. […] Having a computer with free internet access in the room was a big help when the international cell phone I had bought for the trip didnt work. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Wenn wir erneut auf Florenz gehen, ist das Globus sicherlich unser Hotel! Es ist sehr sauber und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Sie sprechen mehrere Sprachen. Florenz an sich ist eine sehr schöne Stadt, beinahe alles ist zu Fuss erreichbar und wenn öffentliche Verkehrsmittel nötig sind, ist es sehr preiswert.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral gelegen ca. 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt in einer engen Gasse. Vom Hotel benötigt man maximal 5 - 10 Minuten bis zum Dom. Einziges Manko: Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und die Betten kann man höchstens als Pritschen bezeichnen. Für Leute mit Rückenbeschwerden kann ich das Hotel nicht empfehlen. Das Zimmer selbst ist sehr […] sauber. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit (Note Sehr gut). Das Frühstücksbuffett ist klein aber fein. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.
