The hotel is an average hotel for the price. It's convenient for us as we use it as a stop over on our way to Hilton Head. We bascially just have a couple of hours before sleeping, we eat a quick breakfast and are on our way again in the morning.

I must say that when I walked into the lobby I thought...looks like I will be cancelling this reservation. But my room was nice. The carpet looked dated/old, but apparently they'd made some renovations and alot of the things appeared new. The room was quite clean. Clean and orderly. Best thing about this place is that it is just around the corner from a Lynx light rail stop. Ten minutes and less than two dollars to downtown - shiny and new rail line. The towels were like sandpaper. Front desk under staffed at times. Could here the people in the next room like they were right next to me.

We were in town to go to a game at Bank of America Stadium and this location was great because it is literally a block from the train. The condition of the room was just average or below average. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom looked like they had water damage, and the sheets were very low quality. They also stuck us in a handicap friendly suite, […] which meant that the shower head was a little lower, and I had to duck to get my head under the spicket. Overall this place was convient, but lacked any charm. Also, if your stay here make sure to try the Columbian Bakery around the corner, great food! Lisez la suite

Price was reasonable but hotel is older aand needs some updates and cleaning. I will not be staying here again.

Clean room, close to the airport and near food and gas stations. Good for short-stays not prolonged visits.

The staff was alert and responsive to our needs.

I chose this hotel since it was close to the company I was in town to see. It is about a 10 minute easy drive to the airport. The wireless internet is very fast and should you choose to use one of the two hotel computers in the lobby they are fast as well. The hotel even provides paper in case you need to print anything. There is an area with a few […] couches and large flat screen television in the lobby which is a great touch. This hotel is frequented by quite a few of the employees of the airline industry due to its proximity to the airport. The hotel was very accomodating setting up a cab for me and even holding the shuttle to the airport on my flight out for 5 minutes when I was running late. Additionally the front desk staff seemed willing to help in whatever way possible. The rooms were very clean and had excellent large flat screen televisions in them. The bathroom shower had plenty of hot water both in the morning and evening. It was very quiet as I couldn't even hear anything through the walls of any of my neighbors nor in the hallways at night. However, the area around the hotel and just east and south is not the most scenic nor best part of town. I wouldn't go walking around at night beyond the hotel premises. I felt safe that being said heading to my car at night in our parking lot and during the day when exiting the hotel. It is only a 10 minute drive or so to downtown area via South Boulevard and situated next to one of the main highways that goes into downtown Charlotte number 77. I did like the proximity to one of the best barbecue restaurants in town named Mac's Short Stop (3 miles north of the hotel on South Boulevard) which I ate at and was quite impressed with. I would not reommend the Mexican restaurant next door by the Day's Inn. However there is a great "biker bar" named McCoys which also has good food and atmosphere a short walk right across the street. The hotel in itself was fine but there was nothing surrounding it to make it better as far as nice places to eat or a coffee house. I had a view of the roof.

The hotel was convenient to the airport and there are several restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. Also, I had things stolen from my car, which was parked directly in front of the hotel entrance. My fault for leaving them there, but OTOH, they had been there while staying for 5 days at a different […] hotel. Bed mattresses were HORRIBLE to say the least, 3rd floor reeked of smoke and continental breakfast was very disseaving.

The staff was knowledgeable of the area and in general very friendly and helpful.

there was not a pool or bar and the breakfast was lousy. location was fine right from the subway and restraurants.

this place was decent enough.. much lower than other hotels in area. the walls were a bit thin.. but the place was ok... a good deal.

This hotel is not worth the 100 I paid to stay there...there were stains in the carpet....loud rooms and when we arrived there were 4 police cars outside

We were very satisfied with our stay at BW especially after our son described his same-night stay at a nearby motel. Room was clean. those at the reception desk were courteous and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was very good as well.

Our room was small and badly in need of maintainence, chipped, peeling paint, plumbing problems, and an old blurry TV. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable.

The staff was very cordial and accomodating, letting me into my room at about noon time so that I could continue to work the rest of the day. Bed was comfortable and the hotel was clean. Just what I required! Got up and left before the free breakfast. Easy access to the airport.

Other than the Refridgerator not working properly the room was great. Would stay here again if needed to. Breakfast bar was AWESOME!!!!!! Thanks!!

Just what I needed, inexpensive and comfortable rooms.

After being moved to try and get me internet service, I was offered no other redress. I had specifically wanted a room with internet as I was working on a very important project. It was a disaster.

this hotel was nestled in the middle of everything, and close to the location that we were visiting. I would definitely reserve here again on a future trip. The staff was polite and very considerate.

Very pleasant hotel in an excellant location, only 5 minutes walk from train line to City centre. Good local restaurants offerring a variety of meal choice.

This hotel was very dirty and smelled musty. It was in a bad section of town and there was a police tower located right outside. The room was old and not updated to standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we didnt even stay the night. We payed for the room and left it was that bad. The rooms are nicely furnished.But at night do not expect to get much sleep.If the people in the next room are-not fighting they are on the phone all night and you can hear every word of their conversation.

The room was a little dated but comfortable. The room entrance door was not spring loaded. This seemed good because I didn't get nailed while unloading my suitcase and other things from the cart. Hotel was ina very "rough neighborhood, there were police staked out in the parking lot. The room was dark and humid. Thye bed was hard and lumpy. The girl behind the desk was freindly, but she was oudside ona break and I waited for 5 minutes before she returned.

For the price they charged, it was absolute value for money....staff was very welcoming and helpful, decent breakfast...receptionist personally recommended a Chinese take out for room delivery - very tasty and reasonable food. Location not far...well, nothing seems to be far enough in Charlotte considering the distances one travels in NJ and NY!! Room […] ambience, quality of TV (flat), amenities..all very good. Clean room. Having the microwave and frig was great. Check In person was very courteous, even asked me the next day if my room was OK.

The "fitness center" consisted of two old pieces of cardio equipment and some loose dumbbells. The treadmill was too cheap and worn out to work properly and almost tossed me off before I gave up on the workout. The "continental breakfast" was some fruit, dry bagels, and a temperamental waffle maker. Rock hard bed and a strong smell of paint remover […] in the hall on my floor. This was a decent hotel. The surrounding area was perhaps not the best, but I was only there for one night. The breakfast was good and there were a number of pilots there, so I suppose it may be better than the credit I am giving it. It was worth the price.
