très bon hotel seul la restauration n'était pas à la hauteur de mes attentes

Très bel hotel avec un personnel agréable même si la majorité ne parle pas français. Les chambres sont bien faites mais la table du balcon était poussiéreuse. La piscine est super! Seul petit hic au tableau, le parc d'attraction à côté où on entend des hurlements d'enfants alors qu'on voudrait simplement se prelasser au soleil au calme... Sinon super […] séjour dans Barcelone! Indiscustablement nous sommes dans un très bel hotel.... l'accueil est long pour se faire enregistrer et avoir la clé de la chambre. Installation superbe (spas piscine...) et petit déjeuner impéccable. Mais vu de la chambre ... sur un parc d'attraction.... moins top. Ca reste un vrai *****

Bien que "leading hotel of the world" cet hôtel n'est pas à la hauteur. Service, propreté, SPA entretien des chambres sont assez moyens. Seule la vue sur Barcelone est exceptionnelle. Le resto du bar est à éviter!

The view from our room over the city and sea also could see over the backside of the mountain. We got the base room and were blown away by the view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A Public bus goes back and forth from town every half hour for about $3. The indoor pool was great for laps. Too cold to swim outside in April.

The Gran Hotel La Florida at Tibidabo is on the hilltop with fantastic views over the city or the surrounding national park. I went for the trails and there are mile after mile of hiking/ biking trails with stunning views in all directions starting just yards from the hotel. The hotel was everything I expected from the web site description and the staff […] were all excellent polite courteous and happy to help out when ever required. It is some distance from the city but fine for me as public transport is ok and when funfair is busy T2A bus runs right from hotel to city centre and return but if you plan on late nights in city you need hire car or taxi. Overall it was a fabulous stay and the pleasure of sitting relaxing on the balcony taking in the view over the city/park at the end of a long hike through the forest before a splash in the pool and a drink in the lounge was a true delight. The hotel is very quite beautiful and comfortable, the SPA and Jacuzzi area are lovely and so are the rooms and the view. Only, getting into the city and back takes about 20 min. and cost about 20 Eu. one way. So going back and forth from the Hotel to the city is not so easy.

The hotel is fantastic oasis in an otherwise busy, noisy and very lively city. It's tough if you don't have a car but (apart from trying to find somewhere to park in Barcelona) we found it wonderful to end every day sight-seeing with some real luxury, calm and quiet. You can't beat the pool area for relaxation. Excellent stay.

We only wish we had stayed longer. It's definately on our list to back to.

We saw this hotel on a website due to the offer posted on the internet, and decided to stay for a week. Even though, we visited and stayed in Barcelona for many times; it was a godsend. Even though we have to travel a bit further at the outskirts of the central of Barcelona, it is such a wonderful place to be in, as it is at top of the mountain with […] cool, fresh air without the hassle and bustle of the city. I did´nt loose my shoe and I did´nt meet the prince but other then that it was like a fairytale - from the champagne, the wonderful staff, the view, the hotel/castle and the majestic placing of the hotel on the mountain looking over Barcelona. Amazing hotel, incredible view! Getting to the hotel not such an easy feat. Winding roads and small street signs made it a challenge, but when we finally arrived we were greeted with champagne which made everything a lot better.

The room at the hotel was vast as was the bathroom with enormous shower and separate bath. The hotel pool was also very nice being both indoors and outdoors, it was cold but once you got in it was fine.. The hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful. Arriving at the hotel was a task,because the google map gave the long way and made it hard to find. We had to drive around the mountain and through bad neighborhoods. Once we arrived the lobby and hotel is very impressive. They welcome you with champagne. They have a lovely swimming pool that over looks all Barcelona. The view is amazing. We had to […] get two rooms one for my husband and I and one for our two daughters. Our rooms were lovely with a balcony with a great view. But my husband was bothered by black dirt marks on the walls, so he spent the first 30 minutes cleaning all the walls in the room. He said a lovely place like this should make sure to have clean walls. The whole time we were there we never saw the maid service in the halls. I looked so we can get extra shampoos and soaps, but never saw the help. I think they were short on staff and would have some staff members do multi tasking, but they were very nice. There is the only amusement park in all Spain right behind the hotel and a beautiful church that we were able to walk to other wise there is nothing else around the hotel. No where to go eat, so you are stuck at the hotel to eat and it is VERY expensive. They had a bbq dinner that night to offer, but it was 55 euros per person which is like $80 pp too much for a family of 4. and at the bar a hamburger would be about 25 dollars, so we ended up driving to a gas station to buy chips and nuts to eat in our room. We did break down and bought a sandwich to share at the bar for lunch the next day. It did taste very good. I would recommend since they have you trapped there to eat to at least make it affordable for families to eat there. We are glad we able to enjoy the view and this lovely hotel. It looked like there was a bus for transportation in front of the hotel, but we were not there long enough to use it. Lisez la suite

Look, this is an amazing place, high above the hills from town. If you're looking to be a tourist or experience city life, this is not the place. So what it is: an old hotel with a lot of history, recently restored, with some fabulous poolside/other deck chairs. Great food. Very slow and casual. The views are amazing - if you want to see Ramblas, go […] there - this is not the place. But it's a rare find - a big old place high in the hills with a touch a old-school charm. The hotel's location--on a mountaintop looking out over the city--is breathtaking. The rooms are modern and elegant. and the gym and pool and whirlpool are all state-of-the-art. Also, the bed had the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The hotel is a long way out of town and difficult to get to on public transportation, but we had a rented […] car, which we used to get into town each day and it was well worth the trip. For some reason the room we had booked was not available the last night, but they made up for this by putting us up in another grand hotel they own on the top of another mountain west of Barcelona and closer to town. This could have been a major annoyance, but in our case, it gave us a chance to experience another great hotel and a different part of town. I can't say enough in praise of the helpful and enthusiastic staff, especially the various young ladies at the desk. Lisez la suite

This was one of the highlights of our 5 week stay in Europe. We were treated like royalty from the minute we reached the front door. Offered champagne at check-in and upgraded with our choice of the jr suite upgrade or the 5th floor corner city view room both were huge and though the jr suite had a double tub and huge room with terrace over the mountain […] it was on the 1st floor and the other upgrade offered had a spectacular view of the city and harbor out one huge picture window and the side of the mountain out the other plus a smaller 3' x 4' window over the tub overlooking the city/harbor and a step thru from the tub to the huge marble shower in a bathroom the size of a small US bedroom. The food was excellent and one night we got in late as the kitchen was closing and the chef prepared us a meal to order from something I had seen on the room menu and the girl at check in said it was on the hotel. Though not in town the transportation from Catalunya was very doable. After 8:30 pm it can get costly due to you must ride city transit to the town of Tibidabo and take a taxi to the hotel from there that was a little pricey but worth it. We will return. Just understand that if you stay here and don't have a car, nothing is close. There is a shuttle into town, but it still leaves you a long walk to get to the historical area. And it only runs from 10 AM to 715 PM and holds 6 people. so if you are meeting a tour, count on about a $20 cab each direction. There were a lot of people booked here from various […] cruise ships, most were ripped off by the cabs. One couple was charged $56 Euros to get up to the hotel. Great pool and view though. Food is a little pricey, but my wife said the $30 hamburger was good. Lisez la suite

This fantastic hotel is situated in the mountains over looking the city. There isn't anything I could fault on my stay. The food, drink and service was outstanding and the hotel was imaculately kept. The spa was very relaxing and never over crowded. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Toppen hotel: god mat, trevlig personal, fint och fräscht hotellrum. Mkt nöjd!

En general nos encanto. lo reserve para una ocasion muy especial y la estancia fue fabulosa en todos los aspectos. la habitacion genial, perfecta y el personal muy atento y muy profesional y el desayuno en la terraza con vistas a barcelona espectacular. Un 10.

Kom nylig tilbake fra ferie i Barcelona med kjæresten min, og vil sterkt anbefale Gran Hotel La Florida for andre. Utsikten er helt utrolig, hotellet komfortabelt og i kul Art Deco-stil og servicen upåklagelig. Det eneste minuset er at hotellet ligger et stykke fra byen, og det kan være litt komplisert å ta offentlig transport (ihvertfall første gangen). […] Vi pleide å ta buss-feniculaire-tog ned mot byen og taxi opp igjen. Det koster cirka 6 euro for 2 stk med offentlig transport, og det tar litt over en halvtime ned til Placa Catalunya. Med taxi tar det ca 20 min og det koster ca 20 euro. Selv om vi bodde litt langt unna sentrum vil vi anbefale dette hotellet: vi følte oss som millionærer da vi bodde her, og det er ingen dårlig følelse! :-) Lisez la suite
