"A bit far out of city center and hard too find"
Walked from the S-bahn and got lost! After getting off the S-bahn at Laim go through the tunnel under the tracks and stay on Wotanstrabe and take a left when it splits after Walhallstrabe. The hotel staff was very helpful in guiding us through our planned itinerary of Munich. It is in quiet neighborhood but since it was so far out we didn't spend to […] much time in our room. We got stopped by the transit police and had to pay a 40 euro fine for not buying the correct train pass. So be advised. Lisez la suite
"The perfect place and VERY helpful staff"
Our stay in Munich was 10 times more pleasant because of our choice to stay here. The staff was a phenomenal help in planning our day and finding our way around the city. I can't express how helpful and friendly they were. It only took a moment and we felt like we had known them a life time and it wasn't just us. As we ate breakfast I would notice how […] they engaged everyone of their guest in conversation learning about them even anticipating their needs during their visit. The location was perfect we had a car but parked it (for free) and found our way around nicely on foot and by public transport. Lisez la suite
"Friendly service"
Very friendly service, clean room, good breakfast. But: no elevator. Several rooms on the ground-floor, so if climbing stairs is difficult for you: ask for a ground-floor room!
"Hotel Laimer - best hotel I've been to in ages"
This was one of the friendliest hotels I've ever been to. The staff were always cheerful and extremely helpful with regards to things to do and transport advice. Without their help our stay wouldn't have been anywhere near as good. The rooms were really cute and nicely decorated with brand new bathrooms, everything was extremely clean too. We only had […] one breakfast but it was all very tasty with lots of choice. In summary, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to come back and stay very soon. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Laimer Nymphenburg Wonderful Service"
Great location. Easy access to train station as well as streetcars. Nice neighborhood. The hotel staff went out of their way to get me anything I needed. This was my first trip to Germany and I stayed at several sites but this was by far the best. When I return I plan on staying here.
"Quiet neighborhood. Easy to get to all attractions"
We absolutely fell in love with this hotel. Amazing location, beautiful neighborhood. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We stayed for 6 days and didn't want to leave!
"Laimer Hof - superb, personal service"
I arrived late on Friday evening (1100) and left early the next morning - but was so impressed by the service. The owner and staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, the hotel is in a quiet and exclusive suburb and is very comfortable - and extremely reasonable given I booked late and during the Oktoberfest. A real gem.

"Great Value -"
Great location and very helpful staff. Recommend without reservation.
This hotel is situated near the Nymphenburg palace but a bit far from the city center. The service offered by the personnel is remarquable (the offered a good choice of nearby restaurants and explained very well how to take the public transportation towards the center of the city). The neighborhood is calm and secure. Negative aspects: rooms are small, […] there was no air conditionning and no safe boxe in our room. Overall ..a very good hotel for the price. Lisez la suite
For the high recommendations of this hotel we were rather shocked by the first room we were given. It felt like a closet and the bed was a very thin mattress over steel bars! After telling them we couldn't possibly sleep on it the manager arrived and placed us in a very nice room with a better bed (still no box spring but a better mattress on a wood […] frame). He was very nice about it and the rest of our stay was great. Lisez la suite
"Hotel laimerhof Munich"
Very friendly and helpful staff. Size if room however, was extremely small for two people and their luggage. Good breakfast.
"Home from Home in Munich"
The Hotel room was small but very comfortable and well equipped, we received a very warm welcome from the staff even though we arrived a couple of hours early. All staff members couldn't do enough to help us, with recommendations for places to eat, places to visit and the best way to get there. Although the hotel is situated in a quiet, leafy suburb […] we found transport links to be excellent, especially the nearby tram stops. Definitely a hotel we will visit again! Lisez la suite
"Hotel Laimer - quaint and comfortable"
A small, but comfortable and quiet hotel with friendly staff, conversant in English. The breakfast buffet was also well catered - as we have come to expect in German hotels! A little away from public transport, but a convenient taxi ride from the central station. Unfortunately, as we have come to expect from European hotels in general, there was no […] air conditioning, which reduced the comfort levels. Lisez la suite
The hotel was great and nice rooms. The staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. I highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there again in the future. It is also only a 5-10 min walk to the world's largest beer garden.
"Relaxing stay and excellent service"
Sebastian and his staff provide exceptional personal service. Always solicitous and helpful, they were excellent sources of information during our stay. Rooms are cozy and clean, and most windows open onto a quiet alley allowing you to leave them open at night (there is no A/C). The neighborhood is quiet and upscale, but has a number of restaurants, […] transit connections, and of course the Nympenberg Palace. We always found a parking space in the small 4-car lot, but even if we couldn't there always appeared to be a street space within a block or so. The breakfast is worth the extra supplement. We'd highly recommend the hotel if your looking for a quiet out-of-the way respite while in Munich. Lisez la suite
"Great Experience"
Incredibly friendly staff, clean & comfortable. The rooms are quite small, but had everything we needed.
"wonderful small hotel"
when travelling you always hope your choice of accomodation will turn out to be like the hotel laimer hof. the comments that other travellers have posted on such sites as trip advisor are we found correct, sebastion and alexandra and all the staff at this wonderful hotel make it a special...we hope to return one day.
What an outstanding staff. So friendly and helpful. Nice, quiet neighborhood and a close enough two everything.
"Hotel Laimer Hof Nymphenburg Palace Munich"
Located in a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of Nymphenburg, Schlosspark and Hirschgarten this former large house has friendly and helpful staff as well as free parking and free internet. The french restaurant down the street is wonderful also.
"A little Treasure of a Hotel"
A really nice hotel situated near Munich Palace and biggest beer garden in the world. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Overall, this is a hotel worth a stay.
Good value. Generous buffet breakfast, clean rooms, updated bathroom, free internet, pleasant staff. Drawbacks: postage stamp sized room, tiny with scuffed furniture. Location is out in residential area, but a 10 minute brisk walk to tram or train station.

"Hotel Laimer Hof Nymphenburg Palace Munich is good"
A good, clean and friendly hotel in a safe neighborhood. A few good eatings places in walking distance. We ate at an italian cafe next to a french one. The breakfast at the hotel was good. The staff at the hotel were so helpful in giving us site seeing suggestions and providing maps with detailed instructions on how to get to each place.

"As good as the reviews said"
Lovely quiet area with good resturants very nearby. Welcoming atmosphere. English was spoken fluently by everyone at reception. Room had everything one could want and was very clean. Plenty warm enough in bitterly cold weather. Breakfast was typical German buffet with good selection of good quality produce. Staff were heplfull with advice without […] being 'pushy' We will probably stay again next time we go to Munich 15 minute walk from Laim S Bahn station (30 mins on S1 from Airport). Bit creepy/noisy walking under the railway (through road tunnel) at night, but nice safe area once overground. Lisez la suite

"Wonderful Hotel"
The hotel was immaculately clean and very comfortable during our four day stay. Close to public transportation, it was easy to get to and a great starting point for exploring Munich and the surrounding area. The room was quite cozy and the bathroom very nice. We didn't get breakfast included in the room rate, but it was still a great value and very […] convenient. The staff and owners are incredibly helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. They happily gave advice on where to go and how to get there. We've stayed in many hotels and no where has there been such a wonderful staff. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Laimer Hof, Nymphenburg Palace Munich"
First visit to Munich for the Christmas markets. Stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. Recommend this hotel is worth a stay. Room was basic but comfortable and always clean. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. Owner gave plenty of information regarding places of interest, Christmas markets, transport […] etc... marked all these on a city map for us. If your energetic walk to the top of St Peters' Church - on a clear day you have a great view over Munich and the Alps. Information regarding transport; trams, buses etc... tickets available from hotel reception - ticket prices very reasonable e.g. 3 day tram ticket for 2 people €18. Tram stop about 5 - 10 mins walk from the hotel, journey to city centre about 15 - 20 mins - when you arrive the centre is about 5 - 10 mins walk; bus stop 5 mins from hotel - SBahn to the airport about 40 mins. Shops near to the hotel were good - small supermarket, bakery, clothes etc... all on route to the tram stop. Plenty of places to eat near the hotel, Bavarian, Italian etc... would recommend the Bavarian restaurant at the Nymphenburg Palace - 5 mins walk from hotel. Local people offered assistance when we asked and a few times when they saw us reading a map. Would also recommend the day trip to Salzburg, Austria (take your passport) - train journey about 1.5 - 2 hours; Bayern ticket cost us €30 for 2 people - but the ticket covers 1 to 5 people. The trip was recommended by the hotel owner who also helped us with train and ticket information. Salzburg city centre is about 15 mins walk from Salzburg train station. Overall we had a great time in both Munich and Salzburg. Would stay at this hotel again. Lisez la suite
"Fabulous and friendly"
Stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable and spacious (bathroom was a bit snug). Tram is a 5 min walk away, and in about 10 mins you are in the centre of town. S-bahn to the airport is about 10 mins away. Hotel is well situated for places to eat to. Go […] there, relax, feel looked after and enjoy Munich. Lisez la suite

We had a wonderful time in Munich. Hotel Laimer Hof Nymphenburg was a perfect hotel. We are planning on returning to Munich next year and we will most definately stay at this hotel. Sebastian was great. Gave us all kinds of information and things to do while we were in Munich. Our room was roomy and nice. As everyone says the experience was the best. […] The ambiance of the hotel is wonderful. It is small and intimate. It is on a quiet corner in a nice neighborhood. We used the directions that someone sent in and had no problems finding the place. Best way to get to the hotel from the airport is by the S-bahn #1 train and get off at Liam Station. Take the #51 bus going north two stops. You will see a sign that says hotel. Follow it and the hotel is about one and one half block away. This is a popular hotel so book early so you won't be disappointed. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Laimer Hof in Munich"
Very nice hotel located in a pretty neighborhood with easy access to most modes of transportation. The hotel room and bathroom are typical of Europe, a little smaller than we are used to but more than adequate. Breakfasts were delicious but we were a little surprised to be charged for breakfast as we thought it was included in the price of the room […] - not a big deal, however. The staff members were great about assisting us with info about the city and provided daily or extended travel passes in the hotel and billed to our room. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Laimer Hof Nymphenburg Palace"
Best place of the whole trip. Sebastian and the whole staff were eager to help with everything. Unequivocally the best. No reservations about it. Outstanding.
"Hotel Laimer Hof Munich"
Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, but goodness, the room was so small!!
"great service"
The people at this hotel are very nice and helpful. The location is only great if you are planning to spend time at the palace. It is not close to the inner city or the airport. It is a good value for the money and very clean.
"felt like part of the family"
Lovely hotel with very attentive owners and staff. The lobby area was like one's living room with company to visit with. Easy access to all parts of Munich via bus/tram or train. But just visiting the park and castle (with a porcelain factory on the grounds) within walking distrance was great. Good restaurants (at least the one Italian one we tried) […] within a few blocks. "Hidden treasure in Munich"
It was everything the reviews had said. The staff is wonderful, so helpful with information to sightsee, restaurants, etc. It was hot when we were there which I am sure is unusual for Munich so our room was warm with no a/c. We were supplied with a fan that helped a lot. Great breakfast, charming building.
"Classy, convenient and helpful"
Hotel located in leafy Munich suburb, very convenient for Nymphburg palace and Hirschgarten. Multilingual staff very friendly and helpful, accommodation clean if a bit basic. In all - highly reccommended!
"Old style German Hotel."
We wanted and German experience and got one. I'll recommend this easy going, great looking and well situated Hotel one hundred times over. It's close to bus stops and the personel are eager to help with anything asked of them, english is almost like a first language to them and that was verry helpfull. Thank's for a great stay Hotel Laimer Hof Nymphenburg […] Palace Munich. Lisez la suite
"An absolute gem."
Quite simply this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. From the fantastic greeting when we arrived to the incredible helpfulness of all concerned, this hotel is an absolute gem! We only stayed one night but wished it could have been more. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.
"otel Laimer Hof, Nymphenburg Palace, Munich"
Although some way out of the city centre, the hotel is only a short walk from a tram stop. Nymphenburg Palace and splendid Biergarten and restaurants within a short walk. What made this hotel for us was the friendliness of the staff who went out of the way to help us. There is no elevator, but our luggage was carried up to our rooms and our car parked […] for us. Lisez la suite
"Lovely old family hotel with fantastic service"
We loved it here, the hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood but only a short walk to several nice restaurants and beer garden and a five minute walk to Schloss Nymphenburg Palace. The staff are very friendly and helpful and Sebastian offered advice to us on changing our rental car booking to a train booking and he handled that for us while we went to look […] at the Palace. We could only stay one night and when we transferred to the next hotel, we had withdrawal symptoms, (it was like going from a family home to a box). The breakfast here was very nice and we would certainly stay here if we are ever in Munich again. Of all the hotels we have ever stayed in, this is one we will never forget and that is because of the service and friendliness. Loved it! Lisez la suite
