also close to the Tower Bridge, and situated in the main street so it's pretty easy to find the hotel. the television of my room went out of order and the staff offer my free drink in the bar but upon my request, I got a free continental breakfast, so I have nothing to complain...

Booked this hotel as I was on an NLP course in Tower Hill and wanted a convienant hotel which offered WiFi and breakfast without charging the earth. Was surprised by the level of furnishing and finishing in the room and all the facilities that the room had, everything the business and personal traveller needs for a stay in London. I stayed for 4 days […] and other than a slightly uncomfortable bed had a fab stay, was on the first floor and didnt hear any noise from outside, there are loads of eating and drinking establishments in a 5 mins walk along with the tube and the Tower of London. First night there, well stocked bar with loads of real ale pumps, but, at 10.30 I am told 'we can't serve you any draft beer! why?.. Then, breakfast was solid and in edible, with the bacon being completely overlooked. Meanwhile the room felt cold and I discovered this was caused by the fact that the double glazinganel was broken and loosely hanging...... I stayed here overnight with my age 10 child. Staff were pleasant, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was great (very near tube station and Tower Bridge). My only gripe was that the hotel wanted to charge some high fee to use the internet even for 1 hour, which is totally loo-la in this day and age.

Really good hotel in the heart of London. Newly refurbished, clean, friendly staff, and a really nice pub attached! Great value considering we only paid 75 pounds a night, although published rates were over 200 pounds. Only slight downside was tube connections weren't really easy for city centre.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights the last weekend before Christmas. The hotel didn't feel like a four-star hotel. The breakfast wasn't very fantastic, and the extra cooked breakfast was not worth the money (even included a half-raw sausage). Very nice hotel. Room was small but clean. Internet worked fine. Close to two tube stations. Close to above average restaurants including a Thai and an Indian.

A good choice to pick for business travellers who are cautious with hotel rates. It provides the essentials without the frills. Only the bar can be a little loud in the evenings.

The hotel was close to tower hill tube and to a good parking facility. No real complaints could be made of the hotel.

My husband and I just stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) and we would highly recommend it. It is close to both Aldgate and Tower Hill station (approx 3 mins walk), so perfect to start your sightseeing at the Tower of London. You can also easily walk to Brick Lane (10-15 min walk) for an Indian curry. The hotel was clean, tidy and the […] room was a good size (compared to some other hotel rooms I've seen in London). The bathroom included a bath (shower over bath). The staff were helpful and there is a pub next door if you don't feel like going away from the hotel to eat. Just be aware that on weekends, a lot of the cafes and restaurants in Minories are closed (must be because it's mainly a business district). There was however one cafe open that does a cheap breakfast (full breakfast for about £4.50). To be honest, the only thing we could complain about was that the bed was a bit soft for our likely, but that's just a personal preference. We would definitely stay here again when in London. When I booked this room I expected another typical London hotel room... but I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a gem. I will definitely book here again on my next trip business trip to London in a few months. Located just 2 blocks from Tower Hill tube stop and Tower Gateway DLR station. You just have to walk straight up Minories St and you are […] there. Very easy to do even if you are toting luggage. Hotel is very clean and has a traditional British look and feel. The Chamberlain Hotel is a great location for the business traveler looking for lodging in the City of London. Room was large and clean but the AC controls never cooled the room. The window didn't open so the humidity never went down and it smelled musty. The shower didn't drain and there was no hair dryer. Hotel looks nice with upgrades but basics are missing. Rushed visit and not much choice but I am delighted that I found the Chamberlain. The housekeeping standards were amongst the best I have ever seen. So much so that I went looking for dust in the most obscure places and couldn't find any! Staff friendly, Aldgate tube 1 minute away and the sights of peeticoat lane 5 mins ..the City 10 minutes all on […] foot.Great value and as a regular stayer in London, I will certainly be visiting again by choice. Large, comfortable and light filled room. Hotel very charming overall with a friendly but not obtrusive staff. The shower was particularly excellent. Area has lots of businesses, you have to walk a bit for restaurants and shopping in the evenings or weekends. The title says it all really! I read the other reviews of this hotel and booked it as a result. My room was on the main road at the front of the hotel, so I heard cars and trains all night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and so I didn't get much sleep. I also ordered a glass of pinot grigio from room service and got a glass of red wine 20 minutes […] later! It then took a further 10 minutes to get the white wine. Simple hotel that can caters to any business travellers who do not need anything fancy. Internet works fine and the room is clean. Can be a little noisy as the rooms are close to each other and the walls are possibly a little wafer thin.

The hotel is ideally suited for vacation in London, and for the location, quite reasonably priced. The room was clean and modern and the staff courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay there again

On the recommendations of others on hotels.com, I booked this hotel for a business trip to clients in Liverpool Street. It's closest to Aldgate tube, or Tower Gateway, with a good variety of intriguing pubs and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is great: well-appointed, lovely clean rooms and a very comfortable bed. The price is typical for the area, […] and its clientele. It's worth it. However, two points: 1) If breakfast is not included, it seemed pretty costly as an extra (at least for my modest budget; high-powered City workers may not bat an eyelid) 2) How can I put this? If you're travelling with young children, make sure they don't get hold of the TV remote, as they may see things flicking through that you don't want them to see (rather to my surprise, "it" is free of charge all night...) The Chamberlain is in an excellent location, in The City, close to both the Tower Hill tube station and Tower Gateway DLR station. The City of London is not often touted for its beauty but is rather described as a centre of finance but, in fact, this area has a very long history and is filled with interesting little alleyways, streets, and . . . pubs […] and restaurants. Helt klart ett hotell jag kan rekomendera! Frukost, pub och restaurang på hotellet, inget som är standard på andra hotell i denna prisklass, men bra att ha. Lite off om man skall shoppa, men tunnelbanan finns väldigt nära så detta är inget problem. 5min från Tower Bridge till fots.

Jag och mina tre vuxna döttrar bodde fredag-måndag på detta hotell och var mycket nöjda med rummen och servicen. Vi flög till Stansted och tåget därifrån gick till Liverpool Street Station, bara 6-700 m från hotellet, precis lagom långt för en promenad efter resan. Rummen var stora och fräscha, t.o.m. bättre än på bilderna och all personal på hotellet […] var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående. De sköna sängarna hade dunkuddar och -täcken, men min ena dotter, som är allergisk, fick byta sängkläder utan problem. Det var heltäckningsmattor på golven, som var mycket rena och fräscha. I ett av rummen, nr 210, var sängarna litet för mjuka, fönstren satt nästan 2 m upp på väggen och duschstrilen var trasig. Det andra rummet, nr 415, var förstklassigt, enda problemet var dåligt vattentryck i ledningarna, ibland gick det inte att spola i toaletten. Frukosten var bra och varierad - fast alla varma rätter var väl feta för vår svenska smak, men det fanns mycket annat att välja bland. Hotellet ligger i affärsdistriktet, så det var mycket tyst och lugnt på kvällar och nätter och vi tyckte inte att det var lyhört, som andra har skrivit. Det var en bit att åka från hotellet till nöjes- och shoppingdelen av stan, men vi köpte dagsbiljetter på tunnelbanan en dag och sight-seeingbussen en dag, så vi fick se en hel del av London. Sijainniltaan hyvä, todella siisti ja rauhallinen. Hintaan ei sisältynyt aamupalaa ja ostettuna hotellista melko kallis. Lähellä hotellia kuitenkin muitakin mahdollisuuksia.

Hotellet er hyggeligt indrettet i traditionel engelsk stil. Værelset ligeledes rart og veludstyret, dog ikke stort (dobbeltværelse med dobbeltseng), ligesom vi netop havde fået værelset, hvori kun var 2 mindre og højtsiddende vinduer, hvorfor udsigten begrænsede sig til en strimmel himmel; dette dog det eneste minus ved opholdet., hvorfor vi gerne vender […] tilbage - dog ikke til vær. 305 p.g.a. vinduerne! NB: Hotellets "Continental Breakfast" var OK, men eng. morgenmad kan fås til den halve pris i nærliggende pub! Lisez la suite

Bodde i ett rum tillsammans med en kompis. Vi bokade ett rum med två enkelsängar, men det visade sig att när jag kom till rummet att jag istället fick ett rum med en kingsize-säng. Det var dock inga som helst problem att byta rum, fick t.o.m. ett rum med bättre utsikt än det första. Hotellet ligger på en bra adress, nära till sevärdheter och till Liverpool […] street. The Chamberlain hotel was good value for the money. Room was nice and clean, hotel restaurant/pub was also very good.

Flotte rom, og aircondition som virket perfekt uten å støye (fikk m.a.o. sove om natten). Vi skulle tidlig av gårde for å rekke tog og fly dagen etter innsjekk, og hadde bestilt drosje til kl. 05.50. Denne drosjen kom over 20 min for sent, og helt fra starten påsto resepsjonisten at den bare var 4-5 min unna. Vi BURDE selvsagt ha gått ut og kapret en […] London cab selv, til slutt kom det en private cab som attpåtil var DYR (15 pund for en kort strekke). ホテルの周囲は閑静ですが２つの地下鉄駅から近く、でかけるには便利な場所です。少し散歩すればテムズ川沿いのパブに行ったり、リバプールストリートのお店めぐりをしたりできる立地です。 ホテルのサービスはフロントサービスが中心で、荷物を無理に運ばれてチップを求められることはなく日本人向きだと思いました。部屋は広々としていてティーセットやミネラルウォーターの無料サービスがあり、とてもくつろげました。お風呂のお湯はよく出てすぐたまるので、疲れて帰ってきてすぐ入浴でき、良かったです。 チェックアウトの日は早朝にもかかわらず手際よく処理していただけてすぐ出発できました。６日間の滞在でだいぶ土地勘がつかめてきましたので、またロンドンに来るときは泊まりたいホテルです。

Hyggeligt og meget centralt beliggende hotel med god klassisk engelsk atmosfære. Rummene er ikke så store, men alt er af god kvalitet. Morgenmaden er rigtig god, og alle er meget venlige. Hyggelig pub i underetagen. Nogen trafikstøj fra kl 6.00. Er måske nok en anelse dyrt efter min mening.

Vi var storfornøyde med hotell Chamberlain etter en helg i London. Rommet var passe stort og veldig fint, og beliggenheten var helt strålende. Et stenkast fra Tower of London og med flere T-banestasjoner i umiddelbar nærhet. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale og gratis wifi var også et pluss. Located close to many businesses and Liverpool station this place should be good for business travellers. Fr vacation purposes it's a bit far from major attractions but close to *uo and coming' areas around Brick Lane and Eas London. Friendly, efficient and proper service at the hotel, good quality rooms. Enjoyed the stay.

Die zentrale Lage des Hotels zu Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt und die Nähe zu gleich zwei Underground-Stationen sowie die Freundlichkeit des Personals machen einen Aufenthalt dort sympatisch.

Een kleinschalig gezellig hotel, middenin het grote London. Typisch Engelse stijl met ruime kamers en goede badkamers. De bedden zijn prima. Ontbijt mag wat beter .... tafeltjes in het restaurant zijn wat aan de kleine kant. Service is daar uitstekend.
